What are you most excited about for Westworld Season 2? Let us know in the comments below! (like @ahmz1404) One: Speak up and join the conversation- we encourage respectful debate. Two: Respect your community- racism, misogyny, homophobia and hate speech aren’t tolerated. Three: “Be nice.” - Dalton from Roadhouse
10:29 - "In addition to Maeve, Ford also had him kill Elsie." Should be "Theresa" instead of "Maeve". Not sure if this is a reason for a re-upload but wanted to tell you anyway.
There are a few mistakes though: 1. 10:29 - In addition to *Teresa* (not Maeve!!!!), Ford has Bernard to attack (not kill!!) Elsie. 2. 12:28 - The shooting was Dolores's choice, not by Ford's programming damnit. That's the point of the maze - to induce the awakening and consciousness of Dolores, and she chose to pull the trigger, unlike Arnold who deliberately programmed Dolores to do so. What Ford did was to allow the 'killing' code in the hosts, that's all. The awakening of the hosts depend on the hosts! 3. Where is the awakening of Maeve? You made no mentions of her deviating from her supposed programmed 'infiltration to mainland' and chose to stay behind in Westworld to find her daughter. That's Maeve's awakening because she chose to do something unscripted on her own will? SEE, THIS IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING AWAKENED AND BEING PROGRAMMED! Gosh, get your facts right, otherwise Westworld may be out of your league, Screen Junkies.
I think it's just too messed up. A bit overdone with all the time jumps back and forth and scattered pieces here and there. But i will watch the next season
5:25 It's not seeing Maeve weep that brings William to this realization it is that she was able to go against her programming and slice his neck when he shot her daughter. The show specifically puts the narration 'She was alive, truly alive, if only for a moment' over the wrong part of the scene to throw off the viewer as it is great loss/tragedy that unlocks the host's consciousness and this is revealed at the end of the series.
Is that maze in the ground which she falls on supposed to be metaphorical. Is it that only viewers of the show can see it because the show plays around with this motif a lot, I think solely to confuse the viewer. But what's new.
It's established in the show that hosts can harm guests, just not severely. This can even include knocking a guest out, which is pretty brutal. Medical science had advanced to the point where such injuries are no longer as consequential. Maeve even has Kevin heal the neck wound she gave to the lab tech guy with just a minute and a hand tool. I think it's the suffering and love necessary to suffer that does indeed give William his realization as he sees that it's something even he does not possess. Ironically, he then goes on to continue torturing and killing the hosts that he thinks are alive. Still more ironic, it can be argued that his quest to save Dolores, sick with love and yearning to be the hero, is what twisted and made him 'evil' resulting in him being less human than the machines. Beautiful and tragic.
Maeve decided to stay and look for her daughter. For the first time she made her own decision and not what she'd been programmed to do. It's her awakening.
Thank you so much. Putting the story in chronological order really helped clear things up. It also allowed me to catch things I didn't watching it on TV. Cheers!
Maeve got off the train for two reasons: 1) She learned that her daughter was in the park and set off to find her.2) She learned that everything she had done during the season was actually already programmed, presumably by Ford, who had also given her the ability to wake up in the lab, control other hosts, and hurt humans. In this way, getting off the train was the first actual choice Maeve made all season.
Jimmi Simpson (William) went through the same rural Pennsylvania college (Bloomsburg) theatre program as I did! He has been such an inspiration for us in the program! Go Jimmi!
the show doesnt really hop around time much like you say in the begining. i think thats gonna scare off newcomers. the show is really good (and i dont say that lightly). its very easy to follow and theres always something interesting happening and developing.
Genevieve1023 Lol yes. A good bit of them, like Law and Order SVU even though I find it to be dreadful and I can predict the outcome as soon as I see the most well known actor who isn’t reoccurring I know exactly whats going to happen. I’ve watched countless seasons of hers to try and have us something to share. CSI, NCIS, Greys Anatomy, the most predictable, repetitive, bland tv in existence, still did nothing. Of course, I never threw that in her face that I felt that way about her shows.
Toploaded Gaming Well, you definitely shouldn't tell her how you feel about her shows. I think it's really sweet that you're trying to bond with her over TV, but that doesn't seem doable because you guys' TV taste is totally different. Maybe you should focus on the reason why you got with her to begin with.
Genevieve1023 Yea thanks for trying to help. But we just got married too young. These sound like minuscule problems, but its just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak.
That was great. I couldn’t remember if Peter Abernathy had been smuggled out of the park or not. Since Ford is dead, and he says he wrote a new narrative, we may never know if any of the hosts choices are really their own. I’d luv to see a Cram It for X-Men.
I might need to rewatch but wasn't Maeve not escaping and instead choosing to look for her daughter supposed to indicate she had overcome her programming and finally become self aware? feel like its a pretty big plot point you missed
We can't be sure at all. Maybe, or maybe another code to prevent her going outside (not ready yet). Hell we don't even know if real Ford is dead or alive. And the show is tricking you all the time, so we have good reasons to doubt. Season 2 will tell if leaders Maeve and Dolores are full ready or not. Ep 1 is already suggesting that something's wrong with Dolores awakening.
Gigs 98 I've watched the show, watched walkthroughs, and read a bunch about it, and I still find myself feeling confused 😂 really complicated, but very good with lots of layers and intrigue
The most difficult part is to constantly search and deduce the correct timeline related to each scenes. Once you begin to realize when each event is happenning, it's better. The show confuses you on purpose sometimes, to make you realize later an hidden truth. A TV show really easy to spoil
They are. Though It was originally a Anthology, the show soon started to connect itself, and there are constante references spread around the episodes of previous ones. One very notorious example is the last(and worst) episode of season four, "Black Museum". Besides being a collection of stories in itself, the episode is absolutely filled with references to technologies from previous seasons.
I wouldn't count that as related. It is more like a gimmick for viewers. Each of those stories can stand for itself and that's also what I really like about the show. They can tell great stories in that short amount of time. ruclips.net/video/G_K9xsSdgMs/видео.html ;)
Black Museum is just a fan service episode, it's not like it's part of the wider 'canon' of the show because there is no canon. Black Mirror is 100% an anthology show. You can make connections if you like and there's evidence to support connections but they're just for fun. There's no wider linked universe they're all part of.
Didn't Maeve leave the train because she knew escaping westworld was part of Ford's narrative and also she returned to save her daughter? It's been a while since I watched it but I remember seeing the written script of Maeve getting on the train.
You say Bernard kills maeve and Elsie. It's actually Theresa and Elsie. Although it's still under debate what happened to Elsie. Just realised mib is a tough mother. His right arm was disabled whilst Delores was knocking him around and he gets shot in left arm just before Delores shoots ford. And he's kicking as again in s2ep1. What a man.
Actually the one thing I THINK you're wrong about, I feel like I remember the writers saying they wouldn't confirm that Elsie was in fact dead, that I believe she may still be involved somewhat in season 2.
Masterful presentation. However for full A+, a flowchart or schematic representation of actions, reactions and consequences would be need to be included. However, well done SJ.

I didn't care for HBO's show.
Thought it was shut down. Wow.
I may give it another shot.
10:29 - "In addition to Maeve, Ford also had him kill Elsie."
Should be "Theresa" instead of "Maeve". Not sure if this is a reason for a re-upload but wanted to tell you anyway.
Please do honest trailer to rambo- first blood.

this doesn't look like anything to me
I’ve totally forgotten a ton of stuff. Thanks for the refresh 👍👍
11:30
I thought it was really clear that Maeve (Thandie Newton) left the train and went back to the park to rescue her daughter.
HindsightPOV me too
I thought Thandie Newton was dead irl
Nah sugar , she is after revenge
This was also the first time she went off script.
I literally just binged the first season a few days ago, and half of what you said was new to me lmao
I Go Wumbo that's why you dont binge watch complicated shows like this. Lol
well, +1 :)
I think it's just too messed up. A bit overdone with all the time jumps back and forth and scattered pieces here and there. But i will watch the next season
"it's not complex or awesome it just took me watching it a second time xd xd xd"

This was so helpful, like I forgot almost everything and also missed bits and pieces
Maeve decided to stay and look for her daughter. For the first time she made her own decision and not what she'd been programmed to do. It's her awakening.
SedRegina or maybe her programming told her to do tht!
possibly, it will be interesting to see
not even humans "make their own decisions"
it was just the first time she made a decision that wasn't part of a narrative.
Yup, her escaping westworld was part of ford's narrative. Trying to save her kid was not.
For she, as a robot, and for us, as an audience, sounds logic. The writers make us participate of the story.
Even though I watched the entire first season, seeing all of the show's events presented in chronological order has proven to be very helpful!
Seriously guys, that was a REALLY good summary
Thank you so much. Putting the story in chronological order really helped clear things up. It also allowed me to catch things I didn't watching it on TV. Cheers!
I watched this and clicked like, now I'm commenting, like you do
I watched this and read a comment. Now, I'm replying to a comment that I read, like you do.
They’ve made you do it.
discuss
this doesn't look like anything to me
This was such a great video and helped me remember all the little details in time for the premiere! Thanks guys!!
Do an honest tv trailer of westworld!
they should bring back the first voice to make it extra meta
I've been asking them that for well over a year. It's ABOUT TIME!
There is another honest trailer release slot before season 2 comes out...
kimchoi for real though
I know right. Been asking the same since...
This was the probably the best recap I have seen for Westworld season 1 so far. Nice job Spencer. Also, has Dan finally watched it?
Dang, nice work guys, that was a satisfyingly succinct recap of some deep subject matter.
Best "Cram It" so far. Very well done!
So ready for S2 next Sunday !
Maeve got off the train for two reasons:
1) She learned that her daughter was in the park and set off to find her.2) She learned that everything she had done during the season was actually already programmed, presumably by Ford, who had also given her the ability to wake up in the lab, control other hosts, and hurt humans. Jimmi Simpson (William) went through the same rural Pennsylvania college (Bloomsburg) theatre program as I did! He has been such an inspiration for us in the program! Go Jimmi!
This was helpful as someone who hasn't seen this show at all. Can't wait to dive in
man didn't think you could do it but you did and it was so comprehensive too well done
that made the series make so much sense.... wow i had not realized i had missed so much
Damn, I watched the whole thing but STILL badly needed this recap.
Thanks! I needed this to remind me of all the events before season 2 starts!
A RELENTLESS F****** EXPERIENCE ! !
definitely had to watch this five times to understand everything. 😂
7:49 that's actually so cool to see an old friend living the dream
Thanks for this. Loved the 1st season but it’s a little heavy to re-watch before the 2nd season starts
1:05
“What’s in that milky human goo? We don’t know and we don’t want to know.”
- I want to know. Call it morbid curiosity.🙄
it's milk
it looks like latex
It's liquid skin, I don't see what's so mysterious
Twist and Shout...Westworld...what a ride!
"Milky human goo" pretty self explanatory.
Great recap, love the humor also. Thanks
Thanks. Im 4 episodes into season 1 and I'm already lost. I dont mind spoilers so this was great
This show is brilliant! Definitely my favorite!!
That was impressive! 🤯 great job SJ
Fantastic recap, guys.
Thanks for helping me be a little less confused!
I will patiently wait for the CRAM IT for Avengers.
the show doesnt really hop around time much like you say in the begining.
i think thats gonna scare off newcomers. the show is really good (and i dont say that lightly).
its very easy to follow and theres always something interesting happening and developing.
Goddamn did I need this. Season 1 was one of the most convoluted pieces of media I've ever seen
8th. Gotta love anthony hopkins
After seeing this video, all I can say is...................THANK YOU!!
I needed this..my boyfriend wont shut up about this show
Well, at least you try. If my wife would do that, it would mean the world to me. But alas, she doesn’t.
Toploaded Gaming Do you try to get into her shows?
Genevieve1023
Lol yes. A good bit of them, like Law and Order SVU even though I find it to be dreadful and I can predict the outcome as soon as I see the most well known actor who isn’t reoccurring I know exactly whats going to happen. I’d luv to see a Cram It for X-Men.
Now I feel like I ought to watch season one again before I start season two!
I've been waiting for a series like this for years. How about Legion next?
That's exactly what I needed. Muchas gracias guys!!! ;)
I might need to rewatch but wasn't Maeve not escaping and instead choosing to look for her daughter supposed to indicate she had overcome her programming and finally become self aware? feel like its a pretty big plot point you missed
You're right

Ep 1 is already suggesting that something's wrong with Dolores awakening.
WOW! I had NO idea this show was about robots or a game or virtual realityishness. I just thought it was a western. Now I will watch!
Don't you google anything?
Not west world
Did u at least not finish this video. Or are u now going to watch after just having everything spoiled?
Jeremy H
My thoughts exactly.
lol. how killing the fun of a tv show
Thanks for the full skinny Spenny G. I only got about 5% of this when I watched the season on my own.
Thank you. Now I don't need to re-watch the whole first season. Hell yeah.
Thanks for this lol my fella watched the first season and said how good it was this was a lot quicker to watch before the new season starts lol
Ooohhhh soooo that's whaa happened.........thanks s.junkz
Maybe next an American Horror Story explained timeline?
Thank you for this video. I Watched the entire season and didn’t understand any of this.
Good video. There was so much stuff in the first season.
woo. That was surprisingly impressive to untangle that knot
Spencer's country accent at the start was so good I thought it might be Joe in his native voice
Great recap, appreciated.
I love knowing things about stuff!
in the shot of Westworld (1973) on the train
i thought it was Christian Bale
but it was James Brolin
This is so freakin complicated
Gigs 98 I've watched the show, watched walkthroughs, and read a bunch about it, and I still find myself feeling confused 😂 really complicated, but very good with lots of layers and intrigue
The most difficult part is to constantly search and deduce the correct timeline related to each scenes. Once you begin to realize when each event is happenning, it's better. The show confuses you on purpose sometimes, to make you realize later an hidden truth.
A TV show really easy to spoil
how about black mirror chronologically hmmmm
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,
Those stories are neither related nor are they in any chronological order.
They are. Though It was originally a Anthology, the show soon started to connect itself, and there are constante references spread around the episodes of previous ones. I swear I was thinking about finding a video that shows the events of Westworld chronologically just today.
Didn't Maeve leave the train because she knew escaping westworld was part of Ford's narrative and also she returned to save her daughter? It's been a while since I watched it but I remember seeing the written script of Maeve getting on the train.
I thought I understood what was going on, but this proved that I missed so much. XD Thanks for this.
Thanks. That was pretty darn helpful.
Perfect example as to why unchronological stories doesn’t always make for an interesting viewing experience
Say," as I told you from the beginning I'm always one step ahead"
Finally the series is starting to make sense... well, more sense.
This show is a beautiful puzzle.
What a man.
Thank you so much, Spencer!
THANK YOU I UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING NOW
Thanks, straight keeping it real, yo.
I sooo needed this
Excellent video to make the case that Westworld isn't very good.
thank you i just saved 10 hr of my life in 13 min
Absolutely love the concept...😍
Really enjoyed the recap
Now I just need a video explaining that video and I think I'll finally get it enough to not understand season 2.
I'd like to see a Cram It! of The Vampire Diaries starting with S1.
Awesome, I’ve been trying to find an easy way into the show for my GF.
I'm both confused and intrigued. I need to watch this show.
Excellent job!
Great stuff guys and galls keep it comming 😀
Westworld honest trailer? This week before season 2 comes out? Please?
Actually the one thing I THINK you're wrong about, I feel like I remember the writers saying they wouldn't confirm that Elsie was in fact dead, that I believe she may still be involved somewhat in season 2.
Now this was useful.....thanks
It was about damn time!!
This chronological recap makes me straight up mad that we have to actually watch it all out of order because, you know, "Nolan"
Excellent, thank you
This is awesome, thanks :D
Masterful presentation. However for full A+, a flowchart or schematic representation of actions, reactions and consequences would be need to be included. However, well done SJ.
Damn, it seams I didnt get so much when watching the show... have to see it again
Honest Trailer How to train your dragon 1 & 2

It is a big franchise, soon there will be 3 movies, 3 shows and about 6 short films (I don't know the correct number). There are plenty of cool and developed characters in these shows. The humor and the villains are good and they explore the dragon culture.
randombavariangirl I think there will be a 4th show after the 3rd movie!
I count RoB and DoB as one show. So there gonna be 3 show from my perspective.
randombavariangirl ohhhhhhh 😂
Thanks guys!
So useful :) thanks!
Information overload. This video broke my human loop. I'm awake. Maybe dead. Can't know anything for sure.
