I was in high school when 0083 came out, but was a Gundam fan since Zeta. I was on my first trip ever in Japan in 1998 and bought the MG GP02 when it came out. I carried that thing all over town as I was touristing. I did my best effort, airbrushed everything and it turned out great, but THIS thing just puts it to shame. Must have...
This honestly looks pretty good. Is there some sort of catch with the model? I heard those 3rd party kits can look good, but they often need a little work on your end.
i have build it and honestly, there is not much to complain about, there are some blemishes from the piece making process (mostly on the black backpack but is not a deal braker), i would say the biggest issue is that is a Chinese model so unless you get it from a good shop in your country there could be problems with the parts getting broken while shipping so take that in mind. oh and i had a small problem with some parts on the shield where i needed to sand some of the nubs down so it could be put in to position, not much though just a bit .
Amazing how similar both look but worlds apart in terms of gimmicks and details. It’s like the designer unleashed all his frustration and show Bandai how it’s supposed to be done. 😂. Epic release, and everyone should enjoy this. It’s not like Bandai will ever release this, if they do it will be mgex that cost 400 dollars. 😢
@@justgamesandtoys right, i hate how recent gunpla designs are very kiddy centric. sure i enjoy the build series but im not buying the vast majority of the kits
What Bandai need is the new customer. The build fighters kits is easy and quick to produce because it just only kitbashing from older kits or just color swap, so we could expect more build fighters anime and kits coming.
least they can do is use a base kit thats actually good for modern standards, not some 15 year old kit that still use ball hips and wicked seams all over
Solomon bandai killer. I dont like bandai kit I normally buy a bandai for the internal frame for garage kits. But Solomon has out done themselves bandai would never put this much detail into a kit.
this is like chalanging my grandma to fight prime mike tyson
Damn this is basically a kit killer for that MG hopefully they'll make the Full Burner too

primary concern is QC, chinese kits tend to have mold defects, though rarely, it is still a gamble if you are unlucky.

@@blackmailerhack3056the kit I received was perfect like a bandai kit! I'm so use to building resin kits I'm use to minor imperfections.
Is like comparing the first MG RX 78-2 with the 2.0!!😂
Are those decals pre applied from the factory, or somthing you apply yourself?
apply it yourself
But the old gp 02 stil hold the looks
Just for looks

Atom bomb vs coughing baby, I just wish I could find one that wasn’t overpriced
How does the plastic feel compared to Bandai's plastic?
plastic is comparable to newer bandai kits, I find it soft to cut similar to polystyrene plastic in bandai's recent kits.
Solomon have potential...if Bandai is me, i would acquisition and recruit Solomon as division...instead making enemy why not expand your business...
agreed. something like B-Club division
Bandai will put this in METAL BUILD production line and charge u at least 48000 Yen and set it as a limited edition.
MG GP02 v2.0 that Bandai didn't want to make.
These badly needs a 2.0, but nope bandai earns with the kiddie stuff these days.
@@justgamesandtoys dont worry they will sell it under mgex line for 300+ dollaros

They would, but sell it as an MGEX for more $$$
I Still dont understand why they give gp02 used toilet color , sure it's for aesthetic reason but cmon man
1998 version likes a sculpture and looks fantastic. 2024 version becomes a cheap toy with useless/unnecessary complicate.
Do you also think PG and MG ver. ka have unnecessary complicate?
