I’m really not one to leave comments, but thank you. There are plenty of beginner videos already, best believe I’ve watched quite a few, but this one was the one that made the pieces click! It’s quite the learning curve but man I haven’t been this excited or creative in years! An instant sub from me, great job!
Man Thanks so for much for this. I am a long-time LOGIC user (20yrs) and have wanted to try ABLETON for myself for a longtime now and it always looked so dauntingly complicated. Gonna spend this whole weekend just making music in Ableton, now I feel much more capable of being able to navigate and process track and get my ideas down.
Excellent starter tutorial. I'm coming from Studio One Pro and Reason and decided to add Ableton Live to my arsenal, for its, well, live capabilities. This helped alot!
I've only just started watching this channel but within a few minutes you've already explained some of the key things that anyone would need to know without lots of unnecessary information. Not only a great musician and world class producer but also a great teacher too. Despite being so capable though you divert all the attention away from yourself which is a very appealing characteristic especially as the music business is full of people trying to elevate their status and hype themselves up. Great channel.
Excellent teacher! This is a must watch for anyone starting out on Ableton. I am a complete newbie. You inspired me so much that I actually created an awesome track (at least I think it's awesome) watching your instructions. I will definitely watch all of your other videos. Thank you so much.
Easily the best tutorial I've seen here. Bought Ableton a couple of days ago and was VERY frustrated since english isn't my native language. You're the best. With this detailed info at least I know how to get started. Now I just need to learn how to add my Akai MPK mini 3 to the program and Akai Midimix AND Casio synthesizer as well (Also Alesis Nitro Mesh kit drums). Oh gosh!
I feel that! I started with FL then switched over to Ableton Live 9 and never looked back either! The stock Audio Effects are so good you honestly don’t even need 3rd party effects if you chose not to buy any.
I came across this video while exploring some basic stuff about ableton and I can freely say that it's such great and simple explained, love it, thank you
Im about to start my Ableton journey.. launchpad MK3 25 purchased, and live 12 suite is next.. ive always wanted to create my own dance tracks, and this year is the year im gonna start to learn and just have fun .. This video is going to be very valuable for me ican already tell lol ..
Please make a vid on how to produce “super shy” by Newjeans. Or any other song by them, really. They have the Most interesting kpop production and songwriting imho.
Hi- very new at this. So I am lost and my midi slots ar not round but square. Already here I cannot go any further. Any other tutorials you can offer? I downloaded the program after a short meeting with a friend who said it was easy to use and on his computer I could drag the sounds. Appreciate help.
Ok, I just got Ableton Live 12 yesterday and my head is spinning.... Is there an easier way to learn this so I don't feel as overwhelmed and then come back to this later? I've never even seen a DAW before...
The other day, I was using session view and whenever I wanted to record a new clip, the other clips in the scene would not play. That makes it difficult to keep building clips that match the others. I know it used to work in version 11. I'm guessing a setting is wrong..
Is this easier to use than cubase ? I'm familiar with audacity but it will not do everything I need it to do. And cubase is a nightmare trying to get everything set up right. Thanks
Hi again. And also when I open Ableton live , it says that I do not have an audi set up. I can hear you on my head phones but not sounds from Abelton live 12.
a little late to this party, but very new to ableton and when i set the program to using my keyboard for the midi, and i try to use a kit. it doesn't actually trigger any of the instruments in the kit, just notes with no sound. what am i doing wrong? XD
I would not learn this piece of rubbish and go learn an instrument instead, then some music theory with some scales thrown in. You be making music in know time. PC music sounds dead.
Hope this helps getting you started with Ableton Live, Enjoy! Oh and by the way head over to www.beatacademy.com to apply for personal mentoring
literally the only person explaining and showing how session view works thanks
Finally a content creator who is actually teaching people who want to learn!

Me too. I almost didn’t use Ableton but this video has me wanting to play tonight with the guitar in it!

can you share the response to this /?
What key do you use instead of command if you have Windows?
I assume you could work entirely in arrangement view. Can you move the track headers to the left instead of right side?

There was a tutorial you had on fixing vocal timing issues in Ableton. I can’t seem to find it on RUclips anymore. Hope I’m not being crazy…lol
SHould still be there was it the one with the Sia vocals?

What if we want to delete the audio effect
Is it possible to drop full prepared mp3 karoke in arrangement view?

Why my midi didn't record? I followed your step.
Man, are you son of that famous actor?
Hey can you remake yes and? By Ariana grande?? I’m curious to see.
Hi again. And also when I open Ableton live , it says that I do not have an audi set up. I can hear you on my head phones but not sounds from Abelton live 12.
same thing

I think you gotta turn on the arm
Dragging and dropping does not do what you showed. Pressing the buttons does not play the sounds like you showed. Failed to explain why.
I can t hear anything on my ableton ! I don t know why
I don’t get why my audio clip is all squares there’s not any circles
Is Ableton Live 12 released?
Not yet, should be ready in the next couple of weeks or so
@@BeatAcademy Got it! Thanks😁

why my view is completely different? is it because its a trial??
OK BUT HOW DO I EVEN GET TO MAKING MUSIC
Join beat academy link in bio

Its almost the same.
