    Looking forward to following the build. As a hobbyist I have built a few acoustics. I've enjoyed the process immensely and learned so much along the way!

      Thanks Randy. The right saw and the right blade make all the difference. It should get more interesting from here.

    Processing the guitar wood was interesting. It’s nice to have a practice set of boards, saving the nice grain for a second build. I’m looking forward watching the acoustic guitar build series. Rock on, brother.

      Thanks Tom. Having the ability to resaw large boards is a great thing to have. I can't wait to get these guitars moving forward.

      Thank you Chris! I forgot to mention your channel as well in the inspiration piece... I'm guessing you know how it is... The camera starts rolling and my mind goes blank sometimes. You are def on that list!

      I'm right there with you! Of course there's a million ideas fighting for position in my head right now. I've gotta get the first one done, so I've got a feel for this instrument type, then I can start to address how I can make them different! Thanks again for all the inspiration you can Chris provide.

      LOL! There aren't a ton of folks consuming guitar building content, but it's all good. I just enjoy sharing my work.

    Building an acoustic at this point in my guitar hobby building journey has never really appealed to me, but I do 100 percent respect the craftsmanship and the skill that goes into building an acoustic. I am interested in the side bending process though. Maybe, some future content could be a hybrid something like a semi hollow 335 style build ? Really like the build series videos, I bet its a lot of extra work and time to do them, so thank you.

      @SkyscraperGuitars  2 года назад

      I have a never ending list of guitars I want to build. A 335 is absolutely on the list. I want to get a handful of "basic" acoustics under my belt, then I'll turn up the dial a bit!

    I've stripped and repaired so many I may have well made one I'm currently retopping an old fender to make it into a resonator, good luck 👍

      Thanks Mark! I go back to the old adage - How many boards can you replace on a boat before it becomes a new boat? Guitars are kinda like that... If you've replaced a neck, then a back and then the top, and then.... :D. Thanks for checking it out!

    Looking forward to this. I am sure you are going to do well. you have the advantage of electric guitar building. I have been watching Chris McDowell and love the candidness of the videos. I am sure these will have a similar feel and I can't wait. - Rick Thibeault

    Nice! The pieces look great. I'm expecting to make some mistakes as well on the first one but I'm okay with that. Its part of the process and a very necessary part of learning.
