I first self-published "A Diplomat in Japan Part II: The Diaries of Ernest Satow, 1870-1883" with lulu.com in 2009. It was a large paperback (8.5 x 11 inches) and Sir Hugh Cortazzi kindly provided an Introduction. The book was then republished with added footnotes as a high quality hardcover by Eureka Press of Kyoto (an imprint of Edition Synapse of Tokyo) in 2015 as "The Diaries of Sir Ernest Mason Satow 1870-1883: A Diplomat in Japan Part II". In January 2024 I republished the original 2009 edition in a standard size paperback (6 x 9 inches) with Amazon KDP. All three editions are still available.
