Very nice , I grew up with huge fig trees and I've got several that are 12-15 foot tall and full. It seemed as though the young people bought the older homes cut down the fig trees down and it seemed our southern heritage was being lost... so in early 2000 we decided to make it our mission to bring the fig tree back to as many backyards possible. We have bought, sold, traded and given many fig trees. Thanks for sharing this video! I love to hear what other people think about the different fig varieties.😊

It's a good all-round fig. Love its peach flavor.

Did you have to protect in the winter?

@@TV-yj9mh I haven't yet, and it came back after first winter in ground. Has complete dieback though. I plan on just selecting 3-4 fruiting shoots in the spring and pruning back anything else, to try to get the figs to ripen.

@@TV-yj9mh I'm hoping mine will eventually develop enough vigor in the root ball to grow back every year from complete dieback and give me around 10 fruiting branches, with around 10 fruits each. I will be happy if I can get 100 figs a year from it, in ground. Probably wishful thinking, but who knows. I'm close to Ft. Wayne.

There's a lot of versions of each. Grown in different settings hard to tell you what your taste buds would love. I usually will try to grow any fig variety. I trade people with locally even if it's same name. Doesn't mean the fig will be the same.
