These are great. My 1st time at The Buck was June 1979 on a 2nd date with my now husband of 42 years. Great memories from back then and now making more memories with my son-in-laws Hot Farm. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you! Love hearing stories like yours. My Uncles started going and taking me along since 1975. And it was pretty much every Saturday back then we would go. Great memories
I was there opening night in 74, what a rainy muddy mess. I tagged along with Glen Darnell and Larry Hubble. In the beginning there was pulling both Friday and Saturday night and later only on Saturdays. In 76 I tried to build a Super Stocker with a 6000 Ford, not a good choice, that summer steel flywheels became the rule and I abandoned that Idea and transitioned to a modified, Farmall M with a 440 Dodge. By 80 That morphed into 2 blown 440s with a John Deere loader axle. By about 83 it got to be too expensive to be competitive with those with deeper pockets that I had. Now after pulling for more than 50 years I have the Super Stock I always wanted and wish there was a place like the Buck where I could pull every weekend. I always enjoyed being there no matter where I placed.
Awesome Pulling Video from years ago. Thanks for sharing.
