As of 02/27/24, @ApexTraderFunding has updated the Trade Copier from v10.1 to v10.3 based on users feedback. Hopefully, this covers some of the concerns we had here. What Trade copier do you use?
@robertkelley8578 Hi Robert, The Apex Investing website still shows it as 10.1 - I received an email about the 10.3, you'd have to go to your Apex Toolkit to upgrade.
Same thing happened to me with Flowbots/Ninjatrader. I flatten and closed on Ninjatrader, at least I thought I did. I almost lost my Evaluations. I kept looking at my positions on Ninjatrader after I closed it and something seemed off. So I went in to Tradovate and noticed my positions were still open. Yes these evaluations were with Apex but I had a Tradeday eval on there and it too was affected. So I don't think it's an Apex thing, it's a Ninjatrader thing. To me it's the worst platform. I heard Tradeovate was good prior to Ninjatrader's Acquisition
Hey Rocky, a cool tip------ to ensure all orders are dead/flat/killed/cancelled, open the ORDER TAB just as you did, then LEFT CLICK THE MOUSE, and select CANCEL ALL ORDERS! Hope this helps
flatten all means flatten all! I feel you bro. At least they must amend to flatten all opening position~! So should we check the Basic entry window on the top right to check out any remained pending orders? Great video anyway.

you can also right click on the chart trading window and click "cancel all orders" and "flatten all accounts". Also what is the name of your parabolic SAR that changes colors from cyan to magenta? Mine only has it looking like magenta which is annoying.
@fr_eN Thank you for that advice - the NinjaTrader learning curve took a while for me. I'm now double checking the "Orders" and "Positions" Tab at the end of every trade. As for the Indicator, it's called ATRTrailingStop on ThinkOrSwim - if you're using it on mobile, it's only 1 color which is magenta - which could be what you're experiencing?
@Rocky in Order tab you can right click, and select only active orders. That way you only see what's currently active which is what you want, instead of clicking that column.

I don't have experience with TopStep, but I've traded successfully with both Apex Tradovate and MFFU Tradovate accounts as followers of my live NinjaTrader account. (The live account follows successfully too, using any flavor of Tradovate or Rithmic account (Apex) to lead, but I wanted to keep my focus on my own small NinjaTrader account, as it had the least margin to work with.)
@karenkrohn8003 I finally got the issue resolved with NinjaTrader compliance and I also started trading a self-funded live account, and it works well as a lead or follower in the trade copier. How's your account coming along?
So can you use the apex trade copier with Topstep accounts as well? I’m currently using topstep rithmic with NT8 but I want to do apex too but I wanna trade them all together in NT8 Also, how do you connect your tradovate account in NT8?
@willberivis19 In NT, you'd have to go to Connection > Configure and add the Log-in info for both Apex and TopStep When you sign up for Apex Tradovate - the NT connection shows up automatically. However, when you sign up for TopStep Tradovate - there's a note when signing up that states "Tradovate connection is not available for NinjaTrader accounts". So for my current set-up, I am using: Apex - Tradovate TopStep - NinjaTrader - which comes w/ a Rithmic connection I will try to a RUclips video on this topic

@TekIt2Dem Is your Tradovate Account w/ Apex or TopStep? Or is a Live Tradovate Account? If it's an Apex Tradovate - it should be a non issue. If it's an TopStep Tradovate - I believe you'd need to select a TopStep NinjaTrader as a platform If it's a Live Tradovate - this I haven't tried yet, but I plan to when I have some extra capital in the future
Hello Rocky, I do not trade with Apex funding program. I have funding from topstep only and I trade on tradeovate only. Can I still use this trade copier by making my personal tradeovate account as the leader and the funded and live top step accounts as followers? Thank you for your feedback.
@hamzakazmi2204 Unfortunately, I'm not sure since I selected NinjaTrader for my TopStep follower accounts (It should work since NT acquired Tradovate - but I'm really not sure). Wouldn't want you to buy the Apex Copier and for it to not work. The Apex Trade copier definitely makes it easier to trade multiple accounts - so I would reach out to them about your specific question.

Brother , different prop firms have different brokers , which have different price for the same security (cfd) which means I put a stop loss on us30 from my master account it could trigger on other brokers and not on others . So how do you tackle this ?
Had the same question in mind about that issue when it comes to copy trading. I think it will work much better when you trade for your loved ones, using same everything, broker, platform

I'm having constant issues with Apex trade copier....hoping to find a solution. Often when I close my position it doubles the orders in my other accounts and starts new positions without me knowing. The old version worked perfect. Wish I could roll back
@stephen4384 This would sometimes happen to me here and there - but I haven't found the Root Cause. It usually occurs when I use the "Flatten", or when I try to Cancel an Order, or when I move the Limit/Stop too often with the Leader Account, or when the market makes a drastic move and only some of the accounts get filled. As a new habit, after I close a Position - I then double check the "Orders" Tab and Filter the "State" to ensure there's none that's stuck in "Pending"...it would sometimes freeze, and I would need to restart the NT app. Hope this helps
All I can do is check but even then in a fast move I can be screwed. Frustrating when I never had this problem with the previous version. Kinda scared to deal with that on 10- 20 accounts
I preferred the old version as well, but I've seen this happen with that version also. In my case, every single time, it turned out that I had another workspace open at the time which appeared to be inactive, but which had another TradeCopier in it. I've never experienced this unless another instance of TradeCopier was open somewhere.
@ampiko68 Yes, that's how it works - after an entry, I have a bracket or OCO with a Limit on one end, and stop on the other end. Whatever moves you change on the leader/parent account, the follower/child will execute the same.
@ampiko68 any will work, but I would shy away from market as your fills may vary - which could affect how your ATM is set up I only use market when it’s last minute, must exit all

Have you experienced scenarios where you close a pending order on the master account and the follower accounts enter cancel pending, however the canceled trades on the follower accounts get executed even though you cancelled the order on the master account?
@olu3468 I haven’t experience that specifically, but similar. It’s the issue I mentioned in this video about Flatten All being executed, yet the follower accounts still had a pending that executed later. However, in a fast moving market, I can see your scenario happening. As a new habit, I now always check the “Position” Tab and “Orders” tab to ensure nothing weird is happening, and in your scenario, I would then just “Flatten Everything” via NinjaTrader (not via Apex Trade Copier) I hope the scenario you described didn’t hurt your accounts too much
@RMDareGreatly Thanks a bunch for the response bro. It did hurt me but thankfully not blown accounts lol. The weird thing was I tried to flatten all manually from Ninjatrader but the positions would not close lol, I was freaking out seeing my accounts go deeper in red lol. I had to manually close 19 accounts one at a time on tradingview lol.
Might be a dumb question, but is it possible to use this to lead with a live funded account and copy trade from the live funded lead account to your evaluation accounts? Thank you to anyone that might know!
@MikeChao I haven’t tried it yet - but it should be possible. I’ve only had my Live account as a follower so far since it’s still small. On my future video, I plan to do an update and will discuss the Live account as the Lead

Yes, I've had no problems using my NinjaTrader live account to lead other accounts-- Rithmic Apex, Tradovate Apex, and Tradovate MFFU. You will need to have a multi-broker license from NinjaTrader, though, which I assume you need in order to have your personal account follow as well.
@MrKnifeart I only have Tradovate Copier as a reference, so take what I say with a grain of salt. The Apex Copier 10.1 did have some issues that you try to cope w/. They've released Apex 10.3 last week and so far it seem to be better.
Hi, if I don't chose an instrument while turning on my accounts, will the trades automatically copy from whatever I place on the lead account? Or do I have to make a tab for each trading instrument for it to copy to all the other accounts?
@coreymartin7566 You’ll have to set-up a Tab in the Trade Copier for each Instrument eg 1 Tab for ES and another Tab for NQ, Etc Then as you trade, just make sure you select the Lead Account and your desired instrument. PS. I’ve yet to try having 2 instruments with an open trade at the same time - if this was your intent. If you do, please let me know what the performance is like
No, it won't automatically assume you wanted to copy the new instrument. Along with changing your charts and DOM, you must change the leader account instrument within TradeCopier itself. The leader account will trade the new instrument just fine, but it will be the only account with orders.

@JustinKua Yes, in the example I showed my Lead is a Tradovate/NinjaTrader from Apex. The followers are TopStep accounts where I selected NinjaTrader as my brokerage. They required that I sign in to Rithmic at the same time, so I’m assuming Yes. However, I’m not sure if you have a solely Rithmic account only - I’m sure it has to be tied w/ NinjaTrader, who owns Tradovate
@@RMDareGreatly No. Tradovate works exclusively with the CQG data feed. Apex offers the option of having rithmic or cqg as the data feed, but if you choose Tradovate the data feed comes only from CQG for both Tradovate and Ninja

@medicinemane that’s correct, it’s one of the reasons I switched from Tradovate Trade Copier to the Apex Trade Copier. The other reason is Tradovate Copier didn’t have an OCO when trading multiple accounts
Yes, for that reason I personally have never used the Tradovate Trade Copier. I've used only the Apex Trade Copier, which enables you to use ATM orders.
You’re on to something - I believe having Tradovate on was the issue in the beginning when I was testing out the Apex Trade Copier. Now I just have NT8 open and no issues with accounts from Apex and TopStep + Personal Live account

@JustinKua Yes, in the example I showed my Lead is a Tradovate/NinjaTrader from Apex.
The followers are TopStep accounts where I selected NinjaTrader as my brokerage. They required that I sign in to Rithmic at the same time, so I’m assuming Yes.
However, I’m not sure if you have a solely Rithmic account only - I’m sure it has to be tied w/ NinjaTrader, who owns Tradovate
@@RMDareGreatly No. Tradovate works exclusively with the CQG data feed. Apex offers the option of having rithmic or cqg as the data feed, but if you choose Tradovate the data feed comes only from CQG for both Tradovate and Ninja
What if i only have apex rithmic account how to copy trade as u said u need to lead with tradovate acc???

Apex says the Tradovate trade copier you cant use ATM orders
@medicinemane that’s correct, it’s one of the reasons I switched from Tradovate Trade Copier to the Apex Trade Copier.
The other reason is Tradovate Copier didn’t have an OCO when trading multiple accounts
Yes, for that reason I personally have never used the Tradovate Trade Copier. I've used only the Apex Trade Copier, which enables you to use ATM orders.
Don't use this trade copier. I'vev tried it and it's loaded with bugs.

You’re on to something - I believe having Tradovate on was the issue in the beginning when I was testing out the Apex Trade Copier.
Now I just have NT8 open and no issues with accounts from Apex and TopStep + Personal Live account
