Apocalypse, Skrull (who I don't even have yet), and Black Knight. That's the list
Even if I wanted, I still can't take a single character to GT19, even though I'm lvl 100
Been buying red gear daily in store since they appeared in the store and I can't either. They'll slowly start to filter gear down to us again, like with the previous gear tiers. They gotta squeeze that money first, and allow whales some time in the sun before allowing the rest of us into the club. LOL!
DD6 I finished a couple of weeks after you and I think I was around the 10,000 mark.
I was buying the red gear exactly like you do until a couple of days ago but now I‘m all out of gold because I need to catch up on my raid teams. Most of them were level 95 G18 but that doesn’t cut it in Incursion 2.1 often enough so I‘m upgrading them all to level 100. Hopefully then I can continue buying more red gear.
But then I‘ll also only upgrade 100% locked in characters first like Apocalypse or Skrull. The others I don’t upgrade right now unless I could start a whole section like City for example which I believe is the first.

I know for me I value Arena above all so I really want to focus on characters I use in Arena first. Apoc and SuS are guaranteed 19 as soon as I have the gear. I just got Sus to 7 star yesterday. I don't want to make the same mistake with Mephisto not pushing to unlock early.
I really want to go Black Knight and Robbie, then Black Cat and some superior 6 but I really think I'm going to Apoc, SuS, Black Knight. GEAR HOARD Until Robbie and Kraven are ready to go, then start DD7 while gear hoarding for 3 more City. I use both Kraven and Robbie in Arena at times
Personally I'm waiting until Crimson Gear becomes farmable in the nodes, like the teal gear eventually did. I worked and saved, and even spent, to get Super Skrull and by the time I got him ... Black Knight came out and made that character (SS) useless in Arena, which is mainly what I wanted him for. Now I don't even use him in Arena. Unfortunately, never could, he was actually a liability to any teams I brought in. It will probably be the same for all the Dark Dimension characters, by the time the average player is able to get them, they'll already come out with a new character that can beat/counteract them. I think, still go after them they're very powerful characters, but unless you can do it in the first 3-6 months, don't rush.
Theres only 3 toons i would bring to 19 right now. Apoc, SuS & BK, only other 2 considerations are VK and NC. I face a red Robbie in Arena every day, and it makes no difference whatsoever...
Well, 4 of those 5 are on my list. VK not sure really matters even if you're using him in Arena I think that he'll still do what he needs to do. I just want to be damn sure of my investment given how expensive red gear is ya know.
My build now is apoc, sus, black knight, kang and Robbie. I’m not doing anyone else until I get to that section. But I’m working on characters for arena mainly
Thats basically what I'm going with too. They are safe options, and the main ones of legendaries and mythics also. Like Green Goblin, black cat and Kestrel.
I'll be doing arena meta 1st starting with BK and Apoc.
So I’m almost done with Robbie, but with your perspective, I think waiting and hoarding might be the best move unless you’re super hardcore into crucible. I think hoarding puts you in the best position to immediately upgrade the next BK and then you’ll REALLY have the upper hand in everything. Almost a delayed gratification kind of thing. Nice work Boilon 🤙🏽
Hive Mind and Robbie for city?
Selection is key, but how far will those characters fall? Where are those big raid characters now from dd6? Where are those meta war and crucible characters now? EVERYONE gets phased out some quicker than others. Just get thru it
Of course the gains on the focus stat are minimal because we desperately need more focus on our characters for the higher difficulties of the Incursion 2 raid.
Gotta keep the players frustrated so we spend our resources and probably money as well.
Forget red gear, how about making some uniques farmable so I can gear 18 characters for DD6.
lol yeah teal uniques you mean? Probably won't happen until G20.
Imo, DD6 completed = Hoard gear for DD7, better characters will release over time
DD6 not completed = Get to G18 fast asf with the characters we got now
I'm usually in the top 10k for DD. I never upgrade characters to the newest tier for months. I beat them about the same time you do.
