Hi Rico, that looks really cool.
And a very happy, (belated), birthday from me and Theresa 🎉. Can't believe its been a year since i last wished you happy birthday
Thank you! It was a great year (but too quickly gone). The fan is really neat! I am still customizing the playlist and going through the videos I downloaded from the company. My only complaint is that you can't have more than one playlist stored. So, I can't have something for Christmas that I can turn on in the season and then go back to regular stuff. Still, it's really fun! Hope you and the Mrs are doing well!
Nice display. Does it have a speaker?
@@dominicrobillard7273 It does mention something about audio capability in the app, but I didn't experiment with it. It's possible the app can be used for multiple products.
Looking at the product listing it doesn't say anything about audio for the product. Also, looking at the housing, I don't see a speaker. Hope that helps!
Could provide a link or the exact name/brand you purchased from? Thanks. A lot of scams out there
Bring back the drive ins, lets attach these to giant energy windmills for 3d movies 😂 the tech is pretty simple and cool got a project in the works using em for signage
I like it! Think big!
Happy birthday (belated)! As a 56yo dude in tech, I tip my hat to you, sir, as I try to learn more about these interesting devices and if they have any value beyond the gee-whiz factor when seen from afar. Just watching over your shoulder, it does appear to be more for visual appeal than a functional device for the purposes I was considering, 3D modeling. I'd seen someone supposedly using it for such but their video made things look far more solid than yours seems to indicate being possible.
You're right, it's simply a 2 dimenional portrayal of a video. If the video has a 3D aspect to it itself, then that gets displayed but nothing more than that. I will say it does move some air, so there's that added feature too.
On our recent trip to Vegas we went to the Sphere and they had an array of these in their atreum that looked really cool. You can see that video here:
ruclips.net/video/jeKJD4U_JA8/видео.html
Thank for the bday wishes!
First hologram was on wheel of bicycle.
I didn't know that!
Great video, thanks for doing it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@Rico.at.50 how tf you doing a livestream, yet have comments from months ago on here?
@@FlexYourFreedoms This wasn't a live stream. I recorded, edited, and posted this like any other normal video, not live.
Lol what that's strange. I was watching another person's channel Live, and I looked in the comment/live chat section and this videos comments were under his livestream. Very odd. That's RUclips for ya
@@FlexYourFreedoms Super weird! Thanks for stopping by anyway!
Good video 🎉
Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by!
Hi there, thank you for the tutorial. I bought the same fan and unfortunately all the graphics that came with it got deleted. Is there a way that you can restore them to come back
I contacted the company for the extra graphics that were supposed to come with it and they sent me a link to a Google drive that had everything in there. I'd send them and email. They responded very quickly. Good Luck!
Belated happy birthday.
Umm. Do you have the link to where i can purchase that item?
Sure, I got it from Amazon. Here's the link:
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MV6WHS1
Hey Rico, great video! Looks very interesting, wich model is this please? Would you have link to the company website, or amazon perhaps? Thank you!

@@Rico.at.50 thank you, i will check it out :)! And my pleasure, great channel ^^
Hello, is it possible to connect the hologram to the Raspberry Pi to control it in order to send the files and control it via the Raspberry with programming?
I doubt it, although smart people can do amazing things. I wouldn't know how to do that.
Hey Rico, that's really interesting. Now that we have our holograms, all we need is flying cars to really get that cyberpunk dystopia going. ;)
I was wondering about a few things though:
1.) Do you know why they don't have an official app in the official stores? I don't like installing stuff on my phone that I downloaded straight from a website. :(
2.) How's the fan itself? I'm in Europe and here not everyone has an air conditioning unit and so a lot of people rely on fans to do the cooling. Does it provide a nice breeze?
3.) Lastly, it's not really a hologram, right? But given the description I was hoping they may be able to simulate perspectives by using angle-dependent LED arrays. From your video though it looks like it's "just" a rotating video screen. I mean that's a really cool idea, but I guess the perspective on the 3D objects doesn't really change as you move around the fan, right?
Anyway, nice video as always and all the best. :)
Hi there! Yes, flying cars would be awesome, but I don't think I'd be on the cutting edge trying them out lol.
They do have an official app in the Apple store, just not for Android. And yeah, I always pause when I have to install straight from the vendor, but like the DJI Fly app for my drone, sometimes you have to bite the bullet.
It's not REALLY a fan per se, but it does move the air a little. I wouldn't use it to cool my space.
Not really a hologram. Just projecting a flat image and no perspective change when moving around it. I think if there was such a thing it would probably be out of my price range.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a good one!
wow that’s really cool sailor moon transformations and attacks in particular would look sick
It's really cool (pun intended lol). But srsly, I love it!
Great video!👍
I just recently bought a 3D Fan Spirit Halloween floor display.
It came with a SD card but, no 3D player/maker software.
What’s the best 3 D App to download?
I don't know about 3D software. Mine just takes standard MP4 videos. I edit my videos with Davinco Resolve, which is a free editing tool. Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words!
@@Rico.at.50 thank you. I’ll give it a try
I can create 3D custom videos.
Thanks for showing this. But for your cat's safety, That tower of shelving might give your cat a way to climb and paw at it, thinking the butterfly is alive and real. So I say be safe. Thanks for a review. Terry
Thank you! I never just leave it on without being in the room, so he's supervised while it's on. Certainly something to think about it were to be left on. They have plastic cases you can buy to provide protection for that purpose. Thanks for stopping by!
So what would be really cool is if someone, using this REALLY OLD TECHNOLOGY, would make a "3D TV" (ish) thing.
Perhaps bigger blades or multiple units to create a full 16:9 "display" in full color.
Then, make a controller for it that will accept an HDMI input into it, like from a PVR (or cable box) and have some sort of 2D to 3D converter (sort of like what LG had that wasn't that bad).
Then, you could watch any show in 3D(ish) in mid air. Now that would be cool!
They have units with bigger blades, but they were too big to hand in my studio, so I didn't get one. Let me know if you spot one with the specs you recommend and I'll check it out! ;) Thanks for stopping by!
@@Rico.at.50I didn't clarify what I meant by old technology. Well, old and "similar" (ish).
I was referencing to the original mechanical televisions from the beginning of the 20th century (early 1900s).
They were called "Flying Spot" because a big spinning disk with holes would create "scan lines", as it were.
It's amazing how far humanity has come in such a short time.
Hey bud im lookin into one of these what model did u get are you able to link the one you got please ?
This is the one I got. It's actually on sale at the moment:
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MV6WHS1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
I got a cheaper $40 hologram but its a little bit noisy. Do you know if the more expensive models are less noisy?
I don't really have one to compare. This one just sounds like any other fan you might have on. Not too bad really.
I have one question, how loud is it?
It sounds like having a normal room fan running. Doesn't sound like a helicopter, but it's not silent either.
That's cool, I here because I saw one selling on IG for $20. The Holofan
Is it the same model and all? That sounds like a great price!
Hello Rico, Thank you for sharing your experience with this product! My only concern is this flickering kind of effect it does on camera which makes it a bit hard if you want to capture a nice video especially if using it for an event and I can see sometimes it is there and sometimes not. Do you have any experience and comment with this? Would you mind sharing a purchase link? Thank you once again!
I suspect it's due to the Hz setting on the camera. I believe you can adjust these on most nice cameras and make it stop. I would look at your camera manual to see how to do that. Here's the link:
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MV6WHS1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@Rico.at.50 thank you Rico. It’s more of when you capture with a mobile phone camera, but anyways I will look into camera settings and see what’s possible. 👌🏻
Hypervsn fans are top notch. More expensive but more colors and better pixel pitch.
If I upload my company logo, does it have a function inside the app to make my logo into those 3D rotating images like the Budweiser logo?
The video/animation has to already exist. This basically takes videos and projects them with the LEDs.
@@Rico.at.50 I see… so I have to create a 3D video of my logo rotating to upload on it… any recommendations on how I can do that? Like any easy to use app or something?
@@kai_Teo There are a ton of sites online to help with this. I use viddyoze.com for mine, but there are many more you can choose from. Just google 3D Logo Animation. Hope that helps!
Thanks@@Rico.at.50
Does it have sound output? How much noise does it make when spinning.
How can u make your own video holographic. ? Would 3d video work on it?
This model does not have sounds, but the app has an audio feature that does not appear to work on my model. It's not any louder than a normal fan that's spinning fast, but there is some sound. You can upload your own videos into the app playlist. I think any video can be uploaded. It's a flat plane that it displays on, like a monitor. It wouldn't actually project off that 2 dimensional plane. Hope that helps!
@@Rico.at.50 thank you I appreciate your response, subbed liked and shared.
@@Giggler. Thank you so much!
Why I do not have all the options on my iphone? can anyone help me please?
When I needed help I contacted the company and they were very responsive. I am not associated with the company. I wish I could help! Best of Luck!
Hey Rico, this is cool! how did you capture the video of the hologram? Did you use a special camera?
Just my normal vlogging camera, nothing special :) Have a great day!

I checked the manual and also did a little googling and didn't come up with anything. Sorry I can't be more helpful!
@@Rico.at.50 wow thanks for the reply regardless, impressive! Sorry you couldn’t find anything, I appreciate it!
@@bigkozski Happy to TRY to help, even with no results. Thanks for stopping by!
Is there a way to display the current time in 3d live?
I don't think so, with this model. It only takes video files and displays them. No live input that I can tell.
@@Rico.at.50 does the software have any api integration? Or is there a way to preload file by running the executable with a command line argument with the 3d file? Maybe possible to create an app that creates a new 3d file every minute and load it to the app.
@@supsnap I really don't think so. It's a pretty minimal app that allows you to import mp4 files into the fan. Nothing more than that.
Does anyone know where I can find a good source for cool images
Well, they're just little .mp4 videos, so wherever you might be able to find places for those. Record or download them off RUclips, etc. I am sure you can buy them at lots of places. I bet Googling would be help. Sorry to not be more specific!
can you please paste that link for the app
Here's the link for the apple store:

For android I would snap the UR Code at timestamp 10:42
Can you try to connect the Bluetooth please because I get one like your I don't know how to connect with Bluetooth thank you

Not really, sounds about like a normal fan.

@@Rico.at.50 sir you are amazing thank you, another question if you dont mind how does it do in broad day light ? Day time ? When its sunny ?
@@doodidoodi7426 I don't really have it in a sunny area to compare, but in my office/room it looks good at any time of the day. I would say that if it were outside in direct sunlight it would be somewhat less effective than if it were not. I think that's just logical, but in my space - whether it's day or night it looks amazing. :)
c'est bien pour rafraîchir l'été...
That's one of the additional great things about this. It does actually move air just like a normal fan. merci d'être passé!
What brand is this?
This is from a company called Missyou. Here's the Amazon link:
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MV6WHS1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I’ve been selling these Hypervsn in Canada for 5 years.
Nice! I think they're cool 😎
what happens when you put your finger in there?
It makes a loud noise, hurts like the dickens, and potentially breaks the arms because, they appear to be a little fragile.
Is it noisy
About as loud as a table fan
Seems like it would look much better without the light on in the corner.
Maybe. Still looks cool to me either way.
Good video however that thing is insanely loud
It's about the same volume as a normal fan. It puts out some air, too, so that's a bonus!
its ther for a year or 4and it works it is a fun thing but pricey
Agreed, a bit expensing, but I love mine! :D

@@chrisvdsvuurwerkjunky7161 I pushed a bunch of my logo videos to it. They look cool :D
do you really think they consider what color your wall is and how high you hang it? They have no idea. Just get an extension and hid the cable in the wall if you're concerned with the visibility of the cable.
Thanks for your input and for stopping by!
Should turend lights off
funny
Thanks!
That anyone would advocate not reading instructions 😂
The world we live in 🙄
I hope that's not the message I sent. I am typically a hard core instructionist! Thanks for stopping by!
Too long. What we want to know is if its really 3D. It's not is it. Basically a scam.
It's kinda cool actually. Surely not 3D, just plays the video input to it. You seem angry tho. I hope your day gets better!
@@Rico.at.50 No I just dont get why it isnt obviously a deception.
I don't think that really counts as a hologram. What happens if you view it from an angle? I know that if you're completely parallel to the fan blades, you won't see anything.
At best, it's a LED display that has transparency.
Fair enough - the title of the video reflected the product name when purchased. Still cool in my book! :) Thanks for stopping by!
