I think what a lot of shippers tend to forget or not know is that Korean men are far more platonically affectionate than westernized cultures meaning that our standards of "gayness" don't apply to an eastern relationship (friendship, romantic relationship, or otherwise). Real couples in Korea are not outwardly affectionate like people think either. So many of my best friends are just like this. We cuddle, hold hands, and joke about being married. It's one of the best feelings in the world to have people in your life who will always be there, know your strengths and weaknesses and love you for it.
