ALCEO: Streamlined Automation for Radiopharmaceutical Radionuclide Production

Alceo retrofit implementation: it is now possible to separate the dissolution and purification phases into separate and distinct areas. In this configuration, the connection between the two areas consists of a single fluid transfer capillary (radiofluid) and no longer of a complex pneumatic transfer system of the target using corrugated pipe.
The dissolution system is housed in a small shielded compartment (small hot cell) positioned inside the bunker or near the Cyclotron. The purification module, on the other hand, can be installed in a pre-existing cell for which the only requirements are the arrival of a regular radiofluid capillary (usually already present), the space needed to house the module and suitable shielding depending on the radioisotope to be produced.

Abstract
ALCEO is an automated system for producing radiopharmaceutical radionuclides. It offers fully automated processing, yielding radiopharmaceutical-synthesis-ready radionuclides. The integrated system operates autonomously, eliminating manual intervention.
The ALCEO series encompasses customizable machines tailored to:
- Isotope type
- Specific radioisotope production
- Use of "disposable cassette"
- Production process type:
- Mixed: multiple processes from one setup
- Separated: individual processes with distinct setups
The system produces radioisotopes like 61Cu, 64Cu, 89Zr, 124I, 123I, 68Ga, 44Sc, 86Y, and 45Ti.
