I carry might pills on my wide range support set specifically for when I'm about to knock down an Elder Dragon. Capcom lets you eat the pill while you're falling off, so you can still be doing something when you're otherwise doing nothing. With speed eating, I can apply the might pill before I even hit the ground after a successful mount. It's extremely satisfying knowing you can apply a huge buff like that to a full party that's going in hard on a monster you knocked down.
I didn't know you could do that. I'll have to try that out myself. That speed eating charm from freaking Great Jagras keeps surprising with how good it is.
Yeah, for end-game if you haven't gotten the decorations yet the charm is the least painful way to get it maxed out without wearing weaker high rank armor, but it's otherwise only 3 level 1 slot decorations once you have them, and Speed Eating is only a B rank skill, so you can technically start getting them the moment you reach high rank if you're lucky.
Some people might not know this but at the cultivator, once you unlock the fertilizer called "Soft Soil" it boosts all existing fertilizers by 5. So if you don't like having to return every quest to refertilize your items, you can just just get the four fertilizer buffs active over 4 quests then use the soft soil from that point on. The best part is you'll be able to do 4-5 quests in a row without having to worry about coming back to refertilize.
Foxon Silverfur I’ve got my damage build set in stone. I decided my next route will be to create a friendship support build. Level 5 Wide-Range and other buffs I will hopefully be the hero they need but don’t deserve.
Mushroomancer + wide range + speed eating... No one can die(unless they just got 1shot), constant buffs and insane group dps overall.... Your constantly healing whoever so fast and buffing to a point they won't even use a single item to heal or buff themselves and will constantly stay on the offense, while you take items so fast you can get bk Into the fight super fast....such a strong build but people never bother buffing others in parties... All people care about is just those high damage builds. As a veteran for 14 years since day 1 of the series ... I wish players invested time on other different builds other than just damage.... Support builds are very strong and plays a huge part in damage.
I love it when a party member is running a mushroomancer/wide range build, supporting others is the best (I'm usually on hunting horn so that helps too) if there was some sort of commendation system in game wide range builds would deserve it
Pretty sure you guys are talking about two different quests. They both drop the tickets you need but one requires you to be at least HR100 to join. Guidance of the Sapphire Star is that one, and the other with the Legiana is White Winds of the New World. You just have to do every optional to unlock that one
That's correct. White Winds is unlocked for you once you get RED, not BLUE, 'complete' on all 1-8 star quests ánd you've beaten tempered Kirin. I got it 2 days ago and my HR was only 67 at that point. It sounds like a fun quest too; all 4 apex predators from the 4 main locales, giving you a challenging gauntlet in the arena. They're not tempered though, so the real problem is beating Legiana, Odogaron, Diablos and Rathalos within the 25 minute time limit.
Demon Drug stays active until death? Just wow. Never bothered with it cause I didn't want to keep an eye on the buff and refresh it eventually. Gotta dump it in my main loadout now!
Yeah I've never bothered with the seeds or pills because of having to constantly watch the timer on them but I always set up a supply chain of demondrugs and armorskins when I play any MH
SuperJimBobJoe honestly though, you just use the pills when the monster is down from mounting/trap/paralysis/sleep and you're going for big damage. Use the powder/seeds at the beginning of an engagement. 3 minutes will usually get you to when the monster starts trying to run away.
I had no idea these stacked since only one icon shows in your buff bar. That is amazing, I am going to have to start checking my stats after taking a buff just so I dont have to wait for the video the explain I am doing it wrong :D.
That's what I do. Once I mount a monster and I'm doing the final blows, you can take a might pill WHILE YOU'RE IN THE AIR jumping off the monster to buff attack without wasting time. Pro tip for those who don't know! 😉
I think most hunters benefit more from Defense Up (L) than a 6% damage buff for most tempered and some HR, even just in terms of clear times. A single cart from a OHKO nullifies far, far more average hunt dps than an individual attack buff can provide.
The lore of the games even agrees with you here- the reason why all the Hunters seem to be right handed with weapons like the Great Sword, but hold smaller weapons in their left hands and Shields in their right hands, is because by putting the shield on the dominant arm, they're better able to defend, and thus survive, monster attacks. Afterall, it's better to do less damage per hit if it means surviving to do those hits.
As one of the few Hunting Horn mains out there can you do a video talking about the song buffs & show how much the buffs contribute to a hunters stats? I think this would get some much needed awareness on how good hunting horns really are. Much love for the amazing content!
Coming back to this with my speed eating 3, free meal 3 and wide range 5 set. So insanely strong, 75% to not consume a might pill. Infinite power for everyone

Hi gaijinhunter, I think they changed Mega Demondrug to +7 true raw for MHW. Your attack went from 1383 to 1420, which is an increase of 37 attack. Taking into consideration the bloat value, 37/5.2 = 7-ish.
After 320+ hours of playing MHW, I can count on one hand the times that I've been given a demon powder buff my a team mate. I don't go anywhere without it and it's so easy to make there's no excuse.
Remember everyone, the same can be said for the defense counterparts. So if you play more defensively, focus on the armor powder and armorskin and such. Definitely worth it. Happy hunting! o7
i hope we get a least one more slot to cultivate items in. my three cultivation spots are taken for armor juice ingredients. one more slot would allow me to put a might seed in and have an unlimited supply of both amor and demon juices. how nice that would be. all my lost missions aren't lost because of a lack of damage but because super leet dps hunters die left and right. despite my defense xl buffs, which is the reason why i felt the need to use the hunting horn in the first place. i love quick missions as much as the next hunter but please try to gear so you survive, if something goes awry. sorry. it's been rather frustrating today.
I was able to do up to 150 dps with a single phial with my CB after buffing the shit out of my damage and going on a tempered run, and we had a hunting horn mushroom mancer spamming that damage and heals. I knocked Vaal Hazak down in 2 SAED’s
Just triple checking. With the pill and powerder, do you have to keep reapplying them throughout the hunt? Or after having the Mega Demon Drug they all last till you die?
My mind is more blown that I could have been setting the farming tool for the same thing for all the slots, been doing 2 or 3 different ones all along. :p Just need to set 3 might seeds, go to an expedition if Diablos is up, smash his horns, leave to see if I get majestic horns, then repeat to get infinite seeds. :D
Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought that Paradise from Arrekz's video said that might seeds and pills do stack? Either misheard or misunderstood, or someone was wrong. Ian Rocco before in past mh games, because multiplayer lobbies were kinda limited and seperate from single player, youd have to be more social and talk to people to get a hunt going. Im thinking because everything is online now, with the lobbies all mashed together, people just go out and do stuff by themselves. Ive noticed a huge difference in people getting random 4 man hunts going in that i have yet to see one in world, where before they were everywhere
ParadoX505 Well my reply may be a little longer but as someone like you who's been playing from the first I agree things used to be more social in MH. They still are but in a different way. People are used to going solo or just pugging with four randoms (the way I prefer) but it's because they have become more efficient as individuals. However this doesn't mean they are anti social I make more friends randomly pugging than setting up lobbies. Remember you can always talk into the mic and send people guild cards. I always get sent guild cards because if you're doing great and helping people out the best friends are ones you've gone through some shite with and remember a stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet. 😉
Multiplayer in World is more commonly done with randoms via SOS flares where nobody communicates. You can still organize a lobby, but that tends to take more work. Also the game is arguably easier solo since they did that dynamic difficulty thing for all hunts except arena and there's no actual reason to party up except for fun. Since there was a limit to what you could do in the "single player" difficulty, multiplayer was a bit more encouraged in the older titles.

question. if might seed and might pill dont stack, what happens if you use pill while your seeded? do they over write? like if you use pill, will you need to seed again after 20 secs? or does the seed reactivate after the pill wears off?
Think you'll make a video on sleep bombing? I've been trying to look for others to run with that do it but have had no success. I'm thinking not enough people realize just how much damage you can do with consecutive sleep bombs. Right now it's just me using sleep and three random that spam attacks nonstop.
An extra 297 attack using a hammer (not including the Might Pill as it is highly situational) is nothing to scoff at. That's like 26% extra damage from the non buffed state. Technically you should be getting around the same 26% increase in damage for all weapons correct?
So you're saying that all Attack and Defence buffs are now considered separate buffs? As opposed to older entries where they were all listed in subcategories?
I see they changed the values AND the stacking. Gaijin what about Bowgun ATK and DEF shots, are they still Mega Demon/Armor drugs with ESP and Superarmor respectively? Do they stack with all now? Duration? Heck, how much is just HH ATK L? Is it 15% instead of XL's 20%? Because Xeno'jiiva's horn is a damn nice one but doesn't go all the way to XL on ATK (as it is ATK+DEF).
A bit off-topic that related to Investigations, I wonder if when completing an attempt, do remaining attempts (left) of the active quests are reduced only or the unregistered ones are affected too? Because after finishing a run I noticed a few quest go off the list although I didn't choose to do them (it should be when I finish or manually delete them). Also assuming reaching 250/250 slot limit, is it possible that new quests automatically come and replace the old ones, or do I have to delete some in order for new ones to appear? Really appreciated for any contributing answer.
Only the quest you select loses an attempt the moment you accept it, not even when completing the quest, so don't ever accept a quest and take it off cause you'll lose an attempt. When your investigation list is full, you won't get any new quests to replace current ones, they just go to waste.

Hey Gaijin, what is the square art box around weapons in the upgrade screen? Some of the weapons of all types when you are in the weapon upgrade screen certain ones will have like a silver art box around their square icon. Can't work out what it indicates. Maybe a rare weapon? Or the weapon is at the max upgrade path?
Immortal the box around it in the tree indicates that you cannot roll back the upgrade from that point so once you make it you're stuck there you can't go backwards past there in that tree. And the tiny I think it's an anvil or wrench in the top left means that you can just build it you don't have to upgrade a weapon to that point you can just build that one from scratch.
busterbeast999 ah ha! I did know some upgrades you couldn't roll back from but didn't realise the box indicates that. I did know the little anvil icon means a craftable weapon, from what I see they take the sameish materials but I get it saves you upgrading a weapon to that point when you can craft it from that point. Yes, you can both the power charm and its upgrade and well as the same for the defense versions. So 4 of your slots taken up all the time if you always keep them on hand.
You can also just abandon quest and it returns all your items anyway, which is probably just habit for people who used to make video demonstrations before the training area was introduced in this game.

Jho armor has speed eating as a skill as well. Not many people like Jho armor though, though I have a build mixing it and Bazel.

Mega Demondrug and Mega Armorskin, the two ingredients to not only deal damage, but tank it as well. Standard loadout for me.

On the other hand, Defense Up (L) is pretty useless if you don't get hit. If you see Nergigante's dive bomb coming, just use the Prance gesture.

and then the hh buffs and fortify are % based, so if you want to see those numbers go BIG...

1:01 what he really meant is that the bloat value represents the average damage of each attack, not DPS.
That doesn't quite make sense, because my 1500 raw hammer hits for about 300 on average.

They don’t as far as I know, but if you pop a seed you can always overwrite it with the stronger tier pill

Also the game is arguably easier solo since they did that dynamic difficulty thing for all hunts except arena and there's no actual reason to party up except for fun. Since there was a limit to what you could do in the "single player" difficulty, multiplayer was a bit more encouraged in the older titles.
Yeah I got you. I think the s.o.s. thing is bugging me. Nobody stays ever to be social and hunt together. I miss gathering hubs.

question. if might seed and might pill dont stack, what happens if you use pill while your seeded? do they over write? like if you use pill, will you need to seed again after 20 secs? or does the seed reactivate after the pill wears off?
Think you'll make a video on sleep bombing? I've been trying to look for others to run with that do it but have had no success. I'm thinking not enough people realize just how much damage you can do with consecutive sleep bombs. Right now it's just me using sleep and three random that spam attacks nonstop.
An extra 297 attack using a hammer (not including the Might Pill as it is highly situational) is nothing to scoff at. That's like 26% extra damage from the non buffed state.
Technically you should be getting around the same 26% increase in damage for all weapons correct?

So you're saying that all Attack and Defence buffs are now considered separate buffs? As opposed to older entries where they were all listed in subcategories?
Hey Gaijin, can you tell me how the mushroommancer works as far as stacking goes and the values you get from them?
some of the skills that boost attack give a percentile value (like heroics). when is that skill thrown into calculation? before or after buffs?
I see they changed the values AND the stacking. Gaijin what about Bowgun ATK and DEF shots, are they still Mega Demon/Armor drugs with ESP and Superarmor respectively? Do they stack with all now? Duration?
Heck, how much is just HH ATK L? Is it 15% instead of XL's 20%? Because Xeno'jiiva's horn is a damn nice one but doesn't go all the way to XL on ATK (as it is ATK+DEF).
Is there any buff indicator icon to see its duration?
A bit off-topic that related to Investigations, I wonder if when completing an attempt, do remaining attempts (left) of the active quests are reduced only or the unregistered ones are affected too? Because after finishing a run I noticed a few quest go off the list although I didn't choose to do them (it should be when I finish or manually delete them). Also assuming reaching 250/250 slot limit, is it possible that new quests automatically come and replace the old ones, or do I have to delete some in order for new ones to appear? Really appreciated for any contributing answer.
Only the quest you select loses an attempt the moment you accept it, not even when completing the quest, so don't ever accept a quest and take it off cause you'll lose an attempt. When your investigation list is full, you won't get any new quests to replace current ones, they just go to waste.

Hey Gaijin, what is the square art box around weapons in the upgrade screen? Some of the weapons of all types when you are in the weapon upgrade screen certain ones will have like a silver art box around their square icon.
Can't work out what it indicates. Maybe a rare weapon? Or the weapon is at the max upgrade path?
Immortal the box around it in the tree indicates that you cannot roll back the upgrade from that point so once you make it you're stuck there you can't go backwards past there in that tree. And the tiny I think it's an anvil or wrench in the top left means that you can just build it you don't have to upgrade a weapon to that point you can just build that one from scratch.

I did know some upgrades you couldn't roll back from but didn't realise the box indicates that.
I did know the little anvil icon means a craftable weapon, from what I see they take the sameish materials but I get it saves you upgrading a weapon to that point when you can craft it from that point.

So I can have the power charm AND the power talon???, I thought that I can use only one a time. I also have a doubt about the duration in your chart of the demon power duration, it said 3 min normal, and with the item prolonger 3m, so it's the same duration??? Yes, you can both the power charm and its upgrade and well as the same for the defense versions. So 4 of your slots taken up all the time if you always keep them on hand.
Gaijin, you could have gone to the Training Area and used those items in there, items used in the Training Area are NOT consumed!
You can also just abandon quest and it returns all your items anyway, which is probably just habit for people who used to make video demonstrations before the training area was introduced in this game.
