When I discovered him I just felt the need to learn more and more about him and his work because it's really different. He's so clever. This guy can make us laugh with stupid jokes but he's especially able to make us think. Also a brilliant musician/singer. Thank you Bo.
Bo fascinates me, because he rejected the easy RUclips fame he could have had in favour of putting together something difficult and scary that he could be proud of. A more opportunistic, and less principled, person could never have made What.
Vine was just something he did on the side. He stated in another interview that he doesn't want to be known as the guy from vine. He also stated that he stopped making vines due to the commercial course it took - viners revining eachother, etc.
Him talking about The Perfect Woman showed a vulnerable side that doesn't usually show from Bo and it was actually really great to hear that he honestly cares that much
Wow. Just watched what. And was left speechless. The whole time he clearly shows you his philosophical depth and genuine struggles with this odd reality, yet he keeps you thinking it might all be a bluff because of all the layers of humor and character. I was hoping learning more about him wouldn't ruin it for me and it absolutely didn't. It's great to see him outside of his genius act. Im proud to share the planet with this guy. Thanks Bo.
Rosie Hodgens he’s probably not intimidating at all, tall or not. He’s said he has a short temper but assuming you mean high school teaching, there wouldn’t be as many dumbasses to set him off as in an elementary or junior high setting.
I think it's so interesting what he said concerning Jim Jefferies and how it's incredible watching someone be so articulate and clever despite maybe not entirely adhering to the same ideas. I've been obsessed with Bo's comedy recently, but I haven't been sure why because 1) I've never liked really liked "comedy" or "comedians" and 2) admittedly, I've always found him terribly offensive. But then despite it all, I still listen to him under the suspicion that there's more to his comedy than shock humor. I think Bo just articulated everything I find so interesting about his comedy, that it's art.
+thehappiestcamper I think loads of comics have a lot more thought than you'd imagine, hiding beneath the surface. Have a bash at this interview with Patton Oswalt: www.comedianscomedian.com/133-patton-oswalt-live-at-just-for-laughs-montreal/
I LOVE this interview with Bo Burnham! He is such a sweet and insightful guy :.) He's someone who thinks very deeply. And plus he's hot in his glasses, lol, and that doesn't hurt my eyes.
Not me watching very old Bo videos lol. It’s Funny to me how he thinks he’s not a funny guy when not on stage because he absolutely makes me laugh in most interviews I’ve seen of him. Maybe that’s still a character? He’s just so brilliant I guess we will never know.
Bo Burnham is extremely smart and hysterically funny in his shows and his song performances. But he's right that there's something disingenuous about comedians who have to be "on" all the time when they're off stage. It doesn't seem authentic if it isn't a natural part of their personality. I suppose a handful of people just develop personalities where they're funny almost all the time. But I am glad that Bo Burnham doesn't try to do that because I love the content of his interviews; I'm really sure that he's a genius, lol! I like what he says about ethnic jokes. I also like how he thinks humanity and empathy are as important as comedy. Well, he's my absolute favorite comedian and so I doubt that anyone else could impress me significantly compared to him. There's this funny song by The Flight of the Conchords...it's called "Jenny". It's very good and if Bo Burnham hasn't watched them, he aught to check this one out ;.) They aren't as great as him, nor as genius or good looking or cute, but they are very funny too.
sorry it's audio only. i do have the video of the whole thing buried in a harddrive somewhere. if you eg organise a kickstarter so i can pay someone to find it, LET'S TALK!
+Maxwell Long Because there's people that likes the song. A lot of artists have done work that they dislike, that doesn't mean other people can't or shouldn't enjoy it.
This is months late, so probably not relevant anymore. But I recently listened to an old interview where Bo basically said that he left it up because it's already out there and it wouldn't really do anything. I think it's because there's no way he could remove the song from the internet completely so he didn't want to just superficially/symbolically pretend it doesn't exist.
Bo don't backpedal on "The Perfect Woman." It can't be erased. It was great. I laughed. That matters as much as it made someone cry. Was my happiness a lie? Was their pain more true than my happiness? It evens out. It does mostly good, and maybe somewhere in certain isolated places a little bit bad. But mostly good.

+LeJuanCa his newest show is incredible
@@ElliottEats his newest newest show is incredible too
Listening to the podcast, I feel like I'm missing out on his hand gestures.
Valhalla no she means in this podcast
Bo is very smart, and he really sticks with his opinions. I admire that.
he says he isn't a naturally funny person but his vines are damn funny and i don't think he takes three years to make them
His modesty > His humor
He said it takes him 3 years to be funny for an _hour_. Vines are what... 5 seconds?
Vine was just something he did on the side. He stated in another interview that he doesn't want to be known as the guy from vine. He also stated that he stopped making vines due to the commercial course it took - viners revining eachother, etc.

Bo'd be an amazing teacher. Like a school teacher, he'd be terrifying (height) but he'd make school bearable

This dude's real as fuck.
love this! bo never fails to stun me with his incredible articulation

+thehappiestcamper there a lot of comedians with depth like George Carlin but for Bo's age his level of introspection is amazing.
Wow. This is the definition of a good actor.
+The Realistic Nihilist Right? He's so different.

Maybe that’s still a character? He’s just so brilliant I guess we will never know.
Glad you did this! Thanks!
Definitely needs more views!
Wow this relates to inside, the creator and the performer are 2 different characters!
I love how he loves Les Miserables, which is one of the best thing in the world.
Such an intelligent person, I've never even thought of some of the things you mentioned yet they make so much sense
I really enjoyed this cut of the interview/discussion...however, the transitions made it seem like a blooper reel.
I'm so glad that I'm a straight white Christian male. Also not deaf or blind
+Rorino T have you heard his song "straight white male" ?
I mean, why else would he write such a random thing?
He's so sweet
yeah that is true, about the Fans its like saying i like so and so because they like me,
Tons of value in one video, brilliant, appreciate it.
I wonder if he ever got that booger out.
He is everything ❤
i LO_VE his Mind.
Love the podcast love this too, respect to Mr G for his work

Anyone know if there is the full interview with video? I only found the audio podcast on Comedian's Comedian website. Please and thanks XD

@@ComComPod If this offer is still vaild, I will pay your intern myself to find the video of this entire interview!!
Did anyone ever get him a tissue? Don't have time for the full episode xp
I have been a fan of Bo for years and years but any thoughts on why he doesn't just take Perfect Woman down fro RUclips?...
+Maxwell Long Because there's people that likes the song. A lot of artists have done work that they dislike, that doesn't mean other people can't or shouldn't enjoy it.

God damn
As a Sapiosexual, this is very appealing.
If Bo is so horrified by The Perfect Woman why doesn't he just take it down from his YT channel?
well millions of people have already seen it, so deleting it now wouldn’t change much
He's weird lmao.
this is zach ston riight?
Zach Stone*. And yes, he is.
