Watching this older video as we prepare to do CTG in the fall. Thank you for the review! You have such sweet kiddos! I miss you and have been praying for you and your family. 🥰

Great review! I have to say, even if a family doesn’t use MFW, your channel would be so encouraging to them because your commitment to one company for the long haul for your children is so refreshing! 💕 It’s nice to see the progression of this program overall instead of watching reviews that are bouncing around from one method to another year to year. I find it really inspiring to see you stick to what works, if it’s working overall, and not get caught up in switching if one aspect isn’t a hit this year or get distracted by the next new thing on the market. It’s wonderful to see the consistent, steady, loving education you are providing for your kiddos! Reminds me to stay the course with what we are blessed to have, to know that not all things will be a favorite but overall it’s good. Thanks again! Blessings! 💕

We weren't a fan of the science this year either, however if we would have had the lab kit at the beginning of the year we may have completed more of it. Our oldest already started RTR...she loves school!
Also, my oldest didn't love the chapter books this year - I will have to look for the videos.

This year was hard for us to muster through science, I think with having a toddler I just did not have enought time to put into the science. She is just so busy!
Thats great your oldest started RTR, we are excited to start it here! I am wanting to wait until September, but my girls are wanting more structure to their days, I think.
I added a link to the videos of the chapter books in the description box, if you want to check them out.
      God Bless!

@@HomeschoolandGrace toddlers do make life crazy but amazing 🤣 We have our five daughters who are 3, 5, 6, 8 & 9 and our family is complete. Life is changing stages from being pregnant, breastfeeding, diapers, potty changing and chasing babies for almost a decade to being able to have some more freedom in what we do...I am excited for this stage (but a little sad too).

So cute! When do you start your new homeschool year?

We are going to start later than usual this year, probably in September! I need to soak up as much summer as I can! When are you starting?

Homeschool and Grace We do a relaxed Year Round schedule. Basically we just do a little starting mid-June and then in late August or September I will add more of our subjects. In the Summer we just do school on days we're home which is usually 2-3 days per week. It just helps us not get too far off routine. 🙂 We are having a nice Summer I think!

She is precious ❤️. So I'm trying to decide what history curric to commit to for the next four years. I like mfw bc of the Bible aspect, however when I look at the week layout it looks like it's ALL Bible. How much Egyptian & other world history did you learn about? Also, was this easy for you to follow along as the teacher or is it really stressful incorporating everything? Thank you for your video!!!

They do incorporate a lot of bible as part of history, but we did also spend a lot of time on Egyptian and Greek history and those in between as well, with the addition of the Egypt book and the pyramid book it’s a lot, I think of Egyptian times. You could add even more, like story of the world and all the book basket books in the back of the teacher manual. I think it is very easy to follow along in the teachers manual. They tell you what books to use and where to read and what to ask if necessary. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps! 😊

When you repeat this cycle, which science will you use? I don't like the MFW choice either.

I will use the Science provided because my youngers have not used it yet. I honestly can’t remember much about the science that year, but I’m always willing to try what I already have first. 😊

Great review! We are doing CtG this upcoming year. Which books in the “book basket” section were more beneficial to buy vs. getting from the library?

    • @HomeschoolandGrace
      @HomeschoolandGrace  4 года назад +2

The ones I used the most were: The Archaeology Book by David Down and The Musician book I linked in the description box. I also added in The Rose Guide to the Tabernacle, it is not in the Book Basket section, but is a great resource for when you study the Tabernacle. I purchased other books, but none that I think are necessary to own, but are fun to get from the library. Thanks for watching! God Bless!

Thank You! If she had been a boy her name was going to be Brady. 🙂
