I met Ricky when I was 18 and he was 35. He was mature beyond his years, as was I. I was a huge fan and star struck, he shook my hand and told me " young man go after your dreams and work hard" I'll always cherish and appreciate his time. My favorite baseball player and did exactly what he said and have many of his rookie cards and will never sell them. See you some day again Mr. Henderson 😢
He was one of the best never seen a player like him /// Best leadoff hitter ever , power - speed - knowledge of the game - one of my favorites //// RIP BUDDY 😢

130 stolen bases in 82, folks that's going to be 43 years ago at the start of the next Baseball season. No one has come anywhere near that in all of that time and no one ever will.
Tim Raines got over the century mark with the old Montreal Expos once or twice back around that time period, peaking around 112 I believe. But Rickey was the ultimate. Imagine those two on the same team in the early 80s!
@@jonnydanger7181 Take a educated guess.. What most players did during that time.. It’s sad . At our age of 65 pneumonia won’t kill you without other symptoms
Find a narration program that is fluent in both American and baseball, because this one doesn't know either. American viewers probably don't need the review of his minor league career, but simply want to know his cause of death.
Tuve el privilegio de poder verlo jugar en Puerto Rico con los Leones de ponce en la liga profesional de pelota Roberto Clemente en la gue implantó el récord de bases robadas en la liga, la cual continúa presente actualmente. 🇺🇲🤔👍⚾️💥
Complications stemming from pneumonia. While I didn't mind this video, it typically lacked the human soul element and robotically just mentioned this fact of his death. I kind of liked the minor league background bit as I wasn't aware of that part of his career. He did nothing in September of 1993 for my Toronto Blue Jays but he sure helped in the WS that year to get us our repeat along with stalwarts like Paul Molitor and Jack Morris.
I enjoyed your baseball!
R.I.P. Rick.

Rickey. RIP. YOU WILL BE MISSED. Blessing to the family.
Wow! I didn't know that Rickey's last name was pronounced "Hen-DER-son." You learn something new everyday.
As lethal at the plate as he was on the bases. Once in a lifetime player. R.I.P. Rickey Henderson
One of the best players ever

My condolence to the family❤❤
I was lucky enough to be at the game in Milwaukee where he tied Lou Brocks record.
When baseball was fun all about Mr. Henderson the sbk
Love to watch him play
Rickey Henderson died of a broken heart after seeing what had become of his oakland athletics
What a shame poor Rickey lived a healthy life and took care of himself better than the rest. Then dies of pneumonia at age 65. Why?
Not true….
@ what was he doing that was unhealthy?

@ steriods? I don’t think Rickey was one of them.
RIP ricky❤
Weird how superhuman athletes like rickey, wilt, hagler can die in their 60s
Awesome player

Terror on the bases, + with his snatch catches in the field!
A Henderson walk was a triple
Rip Ricky❤❤
Wonder if he was having health issues for long? So sad Rickey was unbelievable
Can’t listen to this AI podcast butchering the last name of one of the best baseball player of the 80’s and 90’s. Henderson Son
And of course, (just like most other deaths in the past 4 years) no cause of death.
He was 65. Although that isn't old, people do still die from natural causes at that age.
Blame Trump for this
Cause of death? These AI videos suck and this one sucks worse.
Pneumonia.

@@joeblog2672 I hated Molitor for leaving my Brewers for many years.
I wanted to watch this video, but the voice is so bad that I opted out.
Terrible AI voice. And why is it that all the decent American documentaries, are narrated by someone with a European accent?
Worst ai voice .
He could of layed both like bo or deion
AI narration is awful.
In the same class as Aaron Ruth Mantle Mays
John Olerud...
These AI channels are getting annoying all trying just to get money 👎🏼
Nava Joe 😮
AI voice requiring subtitles?
Couldve played at 50 phoenomanal physical conditioning
What was the cause of death?
The AI voice said complications from pneumonia.
