I just got my second laparoscopy for endo in August. Some tips if you want them- 1. If you think you are getting a uti from the catheter (if they use one during surgery) be VOCAL. I had to go to the ER only 36 hours after surgery which was very unfortunate. It didn’t happen to me the first time though. I totally would talk to your doctor or nurses beforehand what you should do if you develop symptoms of a UTI. 2. Squishmallows and/or small pillows are wonderful for holding on your belly! 😂 If you have a bit of chunk like me, gravity isn’t your friend on the incisions. 3. If they give you pain meds that cause constipation, make sure you have miralax or something comparable on hand and possibly take it preemptively. Drink fluids and try to at least walk a little around the house every day to keep things moving. 😄 These are things I wish I knew! I hope you are able to kick your endo in the butt! If you have any other questions I’d be happy to give advice. I know it can be pretty scary!
I've got pcos and my mom had endometriosis, lucky for her though she got everything removed, we both get ya, honestly I can't runt or do the same activities without hurting and I doubt I can get anyone to help out do anything about it, gl with the surgery tho!
