For me it was seeing how they changed Angela. "Oh, she looks so old in the original for some reason, it doesn't make sense!"...um, it makes sense considering the context of her backstory. These were very deliberate design decisions that are totally lost on everyone making this thing, as usual
@@lizardqueen6041 Honestly the only thing they are deliberately doing is trying to make the characters look like the voice actors, it isn't part of some woke agenda (as attractive of a scapegoat that may be). The reality of the situation is that bloober just isn't very good at making people look realistic, even with motion capture, Let alone having them look like the original characters.... I wouldn't be surprised if the original costumes were unlockable after the first playthrough. But even if they weren't how much of the story really hinges on the miniskirt? Maria is supposed to be a sexualized version of Mary, which still holds true in this new version. She looks, and sounds a little different but from what we have seen she still has the essential essence of Maria there. Which brings me to my next point. This is basically going to be like a fan film, an homage to the original work of art. It's a reimagining, not a remake or a remaster. The quicker all of us accept that fact the better. Chances are it will still be more accurate than that teaser they showed for the new silent hill movie lol. Appreciating it for what it is sounds more fun to me than directly comparing how accurate or inaccurate the story is, as if panning for gold nuggets of vindication when all you are doing is comparing apples to oranges. If anybody is the bad guy here, it's Konami for hiring Bloober then pointing their finger at Capcom and saying "Copy their work." Konami hired bloober to take the hit for them, so when all the harsh criticism comes out Konami can shift the blame onto a little studio that was trying it's best to complete an impossible task. If you aren't interested in this game, I get it, I really do. I for one will be streaming it day one and I will give my honest unbiased opinion about it both on it's own merit and separately in comparison to the original story.
I have faith this will be Bloobers best game yet, bloober has shown they aren't trying to phone this in. But just because they are working as hard as they can doesn't mean they are competent to under go this task. I don't think it will be better than the original but I don't know if it really needs to be. We can all find ways to play the original, this reimagining won't undo what has already been done. It's clear this remake isn't going to be the silent hill 2 we know, nor will the game be a graphically updated 1 to 1 scale the same exact game. I'm still willing to give it a fair shot considering all the information I know about the company handling this and the projects development.
8:57 "If this fails SH is done for good..." Im not so sure. Hellraiser films keep coming out to keep the rights. Maybe Ko should let Capcom try SH. 🤷♂️
The woke hating mob is right on this one. Them changing maria to what she is now shows that hey dont fundamentally understand the games story.

Bloober done did a blooper
There are good, long time tried & true Silent Hill game players like Nubzombie that could have been the best possible Consultant.
