I took my test online last night and I failed. But I failed because I was terminated before I was almost finished. What happened is that my son peeked through the door for 5 seconds and right away I was terminated. I never turned, or got up from my seat, I didn’t even acknowledge him or spoke to him. For anyone planning to take the test online, please reconsider. They are extremely tough and in my case they were unfair. In the rules for the exam taking, it doesn’t say to be completely isolated in a room. Neither does it say that if they see any movement in the background that it I would be terminated. Also another thing is that I studied everything from these videos, everyday and most of what I studied were not on the test. Most of them were about the TDLR book for hair and scalp(40 questions!) then infection control (28 questions) licensing and regulation(20 questions) nail and skin care only 6 questions. I’m currently emailing them about my unfair termination and hopefully they’ll let me retake it for free, which I doubt. 😢

@@zayramartinez8186 in Texas yes you can take the test on your own laptop, that allows you to download a specific software( they send you instructions) But in my opinion going to testing center is better unless you absolutely cannot go in person.

Hi I do not have “the questions to the test” what I have is a lot of practice review questions and study guides that will forever be accurate and current to the study of cosmetology for any state. What I will suggest is if your state gives you and outline of what your test will consist of is to study those chapters and information thoroughly. 💕😊
That’s a hard question to answer, how prepare do you feel? Have you been studying? All of my study guides and practice test are meant to be a review of the information you should already know from the textbook. Go through the videos and if you are getting answers correct and remembering the information you are hearing me mention than it’s a good sign .
I need help finding all the education I need to take my exam again because I have had my license for almost 20 years and I let it expire 3 years ago when I stayed home with my baby and now they said I have to take the exams again and and have no clue where to find how to study for the written and practicle. I let go of mine at 17 years! I only worked for like 3 months and then decided I didn’t like how men would get so upset with their haircuts I got discouraged and never renewed my license and today I’m 32 upset that I let such an amazing career slip out of my hands I could have possibly had my own salon maybe 3 by now.

I looked up to see if PSI was who administers your test in New York , to see the reference material used for your test , but it looks like they are not the one who do. So who ever does should have a “packet” or information of what you should study to pass the test.

These questions are standard for cosmetology as far as information goes, with the exception of laws rules and regulations each state may be different 🙂
Hi Sorry I do not know, I am in Texas i tried searching it for your with PSI but it had other examinations but nothing for “cosmetology/esthetician”. 🙁
In Texas the cosmetology test consist of 100 questions with a few extra questions at the beginning that are non scored (not over hair) you need to make a 70 to pass the test.
Thanks I just took the test it now has 5 questions at the beginning practice question and the regular test is 110 questions but I failed but it’s okay I’m going to retake it Friday the test had a lot of nail questions and massage questions not really any hair questions at all maybe 20 out of the 110 which is weird because I didn’t learn about nails nor massage due to Covid.

not word for word these are practice questions to help you prepare and study I don’t think anyone has the actual test questions. Try to relax and answer the best you can when you are taking it , good luck ❤️

Thanks I just took the test it now has 5 questions at the beginning practice question and the regular test is 110 questions but I failed but it’s okay I’m going to retake it Friday the test had a lot of nail questions and massage questions not really any hair questions at all maybe 20 out of the 110 which is weird because I didn’t learn about nails nor massage due to Covid.
@@aba1876 the same thing happened to me !! All about nails and yes some wierd stuff about facials I was like wth none of these questions from these videos at all.

not word for word these are practice questions to help you prepare and study I don’t think anyone has the actual test questions. Try to relax and answer the best you can when you are taking it , good luck ❤️

Is this for any state?
It can be for any state that uses Milady text book . They are reviews only please read your book as well 💗
@@GlamAndBeyond yes I use Milady.. but the problem is I failed the written test several times and I’m just trying to figure out what else to study. I have two books I used that I studied quiz-let and everything.
@@queensamantha5938 what state are you in ? And do they give you a print out of your score after the test showing what areas of the exam you missed more questions on?
@@GlamAndBeyond SC. And yes they do but they won’t tell me what I got wrong. And I don’t think that’s fair because how am I supposed to know what I got wrong and what to study so I do better next time.
@@queensamantha5938 yea no state tells you exactly what you got wrong but if you missed a lot on infection control or chemicals than focus on studying those chapters more
