Great looking Pardo. Well done. I've stripped my old 1993 KZJ78W down to chassis and completely rebuilt it here in Malawi, central Africa. Id like to find out which snorkel type is fitted onto your KZJ78 and can you advise where to buy it. Cheers
this is just a takeoff from a newer 70 series land cruiser like you probably have in your country or Australia. You can still purchase the parts from Toyota.
Make sure your fuel injection pump and injectors are working correctly. If your engine is 1KZT its mechanical fuel pump. If your engine is 1KZ-TE it is electronic fuel pump controlled by your ECU. Fuel Injection Pumps are one of the few known issues that creep up on these. You could also check fuel filter and quality of diesel. Run some diesel injector cleaner through with your fuel. Mine ran properly and was quite peppy!
the auto trans is 3 spd with Overdrive, so it's just basically a 4 spd auto. nothin fancy. I could easily maintain 80 mph at 2300 rpms. When ascending steeper hills you could push a button to turn off O/D and gear down for the climb. Just like most vehicles in the 90's. Unfortunately, this vehicle has sold.
@satnamsaini2114 I'd estimate 16 mpg as you see it in this vid. I think you could do better with stock 29" tires and no lift. I had 4" lift and 33" mud tires.
its a Dobinsons. Easy to find actually. ARB doesnt have a specific bumper for the Prado so they usually require some fabbing. The Dobinsons front and rear are direct fit.
@@WranglermanLevi agreed. Its a Dobinsons safari bumper, i had one made in south Africa and shipped it to Malawi, it fits our narrow ladder chassis KZJ78's like a glove. The other type bull bars don't fit because of the low valance. A fantastic bull bar/great bumper.
Excellent 😊
Thats Ah very Nice ride

Is it a manual or a automatic?
Auto but has actually already sold. Never went to auction.

I've heard that it has an overdrive mode in automatic gear. Have you tried it? What is it?

Thanks for clearing that man. I truly appreciate taking time to write back. @@WranglermanLevi
@@WranglermanLevi Mind if asking you again, what fuel average did it gave you in city drive and highway drive?

That's great@@WranglermanLevi I've heard that 1KZs are not reliable when constantly cruising on higher speed. How true is that?
What bumper is on this! Hard to find those for the prado model and that looks stunning

@@WranglermanLevi Ordering now, my Prado comes in tomorrow!
