I still have the headcanon that Merilwen was a foot soldier during the Elf-Flumph war and recognized the General as a war criminal, which would explain why she was so gung-ho about killing it.
The marrow bit reminds me of the bit with the sheep in The 10th Kingdom when they have to enter a shepherdess competition to try to get their mirror back. All the microaggressions and such at the Peeps, and Johnny is even using the accent. At the end with the orphanage, I wonder if they could have used the same loophole the skellies used originally. Johnny said that they used the confusion of the skeletons to get Dob to explain what he wanted and because he (Dob) didn't remember to again specify that they not kill or harm anyone, Johnny was able to make the orphanage with orphan mortar. I noticed here that Johnny sort of did the same thing with explaining what the skeletons wanted and in the end didn't specify again that they couldn't do any good, and I was hoping they would remember and pull the same trick the skeletons did originally.
Do you think it went even remotely as they expected? 😅 It was nice to see the oxventurers finally getting to stretch their not-killing-everything muscles.
1:44:10 That reminds me: did we ever get a ruling on how long the new, mortarless Bumble orphanage lasted? I imagine it collapsed on the next batch of orphans.
It’d really depend on the type of masonry. Machu Piccu’s stood for five hundred years without mortar and pretty much only the wooden roofs have rotted out.
@@joshuahadams That's just for fitted bricks, right? Ones that are perfectly aligned, with no gaps? When the skeleton's took out the mortar, they probably added a bunch of gaps. I'm not saying the orphanage fell down immediately, but I can hardly imagine it's up to code.
I remember when “Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit” was being released in the US, they had to replace the word “marrow” with “melon”, but the directors were so annoyed by this change that every time someone said “melon” it sounded almost robotic.
That's weird. Some of the videos from the playlist still have their original airdate (and comments etc) after being moved to the new channel. Why is it different for others? It's a bit of a shame. I usually enjoyed reading the comments.
@@not_on Apparently, the videos uploaded as videos have kept their view counts and comments, while the livestreams and premieres haven't, not sure if that's actually the case though
The mention of a hypothetical roving band of orphan bandits makes me wonder: Is this where the Gut Cutters originated? Spoiler: It wasn't. The thought was amusing though.
I think this would have never happened if Prudence had control of the hammer, and the skeletons would be super happy at work.
Dob: "Skeletons.. whatever you want, I am here to make it happen."
Prudence: "The beatings will continue until morale improves."
Johnny's face when Corazón says "We could give it one less fire exit". xD
I came here to make sure someone mentioned that bit. 😂
For those of us who are Britishly-challenged, marrows are ripened zucchini.
You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar
Additionally, we call zucchini by their French originated name, courgette.
Marrows are zucchini that have been left to mutate, horrifyingly...
Some of them end up like haunches of beef.
Ooohhhh. After all these years
@@DaktangleI thought courgette was eggplant
I once had a path of wild magic barbarian who was endlessly summoning flumphs. For some reason, pretty much every rage rolled a 3.

"Merilwen, why did you do that?!?"
_"If you'd seen the things I've seen, you'd have asked why I didn't shoot quicker..."_
Also just know that I'm picturing the battle in Lord of the Rings when Isildur (spoiler: mostly) kills Sauron
Well my brother is scared to death of giant lizards so it’s possible Egbert would be in his nightmares
I was eating lunch when the Christopher Walken impersonation started and almost choked. Worth it!

this bit where prudence repeatedly calls out in violence has me in stitches everytime

Awesome reference.
Damn Merilwen... given all Johnny does for you guys, you couldn't just let him consign the pine martin to a fiery end? That's cold...
I love this one, so much to work with for everyone.
I love the role reversal in this episode
This felt like the episode where Johnny got to just kick back, relax, and let the party lead the story.

Ellen’s speech to the flumps in a different context is very “he was different therefore he was wrong, conform or perish”.
The country fair theme is brilliant, spot on haha.

A+ Pratchett shout out with the banged grains there Corazon!

@@MrBodomBen That makes sense. Probably to do with how RUclips handles these.
Best team building exercise ever.
Description for this is slightly off, Egbert twice and no Prudence. Be careful, she'll agonising blast you!
Really good to see Johnny see Ellen getting steamrolled AGAIN, doing a rewind and then proceed with her idea
Anyone else disappointed that Dob didn't disguise Egbert as an Eggplant?
I remember on the original upload the comments section was 90% discussion of Luke's hair.
Still looks good
corazon is more evil than prudence in this one
Merilwen clearly has never watched backdraught before

Johnny's face at 1:22:18 always gets me 🤭
I really hope that the General somehow makes another appearance. Maybe some die-hard followers wreaking havoc...
11:50 basically do what they do
All hail Jeffrey The Marrow King
Walk the straight and narrow while you meet the King of Marrow.
Anyone else still wondering what happened to the albatross that the skeletons maimed to keep as pet during the stag do?
I feel disappointed in the lack of Egplantbert an Marrowen.
Rewatchhing and how have they not made a Marrow's and chaos t shirt?
Yeah Prudence is getting kinda Flanderized
Hermiston River
Myron Street
Hagenes Divide
Too much time spent in a whale; all I heard was "krill! krill! krill! krill!" :p
Pete Garden
Nils Coves
Mosh-pit.. sorted lol
Actually, I think yellow would have been fear. Joy/happiness could be teal?
