I'd like to mention that when you buff healers like medkit and vinestaff, their healing output is lowered by around half, so I'd actually only recommend giving them healing coil when it's necessary to keep them alive
Giving healing to medkit or vine is so good, even if it gives the healing debuff, its still good especially on medkit cus he doesnt have a reliable form of self sustain
source? the supported debuff should only half the healing they recieve, not the healing they put out. "Supported is a status effect that reduces any healing or shield to the *recipient* by a percentage amount. Each stack of Supported lasts for 6 seconds." -ph wiki
As someone learning Coil because of the fighting game nostalgia I get playing him, the guides you and SolarPhight post are of great help for me! Though I am more of a direct learner (as in I prefer instant feedback like face-to-face/vc) I still manage to learn a trick or two subconsciously watching you and other Coil player's gameplay. I admire the whimsical silly bouncy Coil and I challenged myself to learn him because (out of spite) I cannot learn how to play the Mishimas in Tekken 7 and 8😓😓
YESSS AN ADVANCED GUIDE!! i understand coil's move set but I'm stuck to a habit of pressing grav m2 (with barely any grav E to get down quicker... i for some reason only use grav e in combat and not use grav e out combat when floating in the air...)and also chaining speed m2 with e and heal m2 due to this habit, I struggle killing an enemy faster without the assistance of another teammate besides me. I still struggle at dealing damage in 1v1s is because I keep messing up the coils and pressing r too frequently... however I'm still improving and trying to break my habits that I struggle with :') tbh I like trolling the skates on my team by giving them speed tether so that they can STOP stealing my kills lol
you are a scary coil (.. from experience) and this guide is incredibly in-depth, appreciate it for when i, one day, face the learning curve of coil’s 🙏
I need to draw your lil guy man,, hes super cute,,,, Love this guide,,, hehehehhee!! It was very fun to watch! I played coil once and holy crap the skill ceiling was taller than my height cap
Bro im gonna need a while to soak all this info in holy crap u weren't lying about advanced 😯, I bet once I work on these skill i'll def get better tho :P
from 2:15 onward i was either vine or med in these games... you were very scary actually, everytime i saw you fighting someone on low hp you instantly went back to like half health. peak guide though thank you for teaching me the ways of the coil
Hallo im Coil knight solarPhight This guide is near perfect, literally everything is done right for the requirement to play Coil to a scrim level Trimps are only good after alot of practice (see, bee cant even do it 5:22 i see you..) so PLEASE USE THIS GUIDE AND DONT LEARN HOE TO TRIMP UNLESS YOU CAN PLAY COIL The guide im making i have decided rather than it being a simple "this is how you do that" "this is how you can be cool" guide, its going to get REALLY into the mud, it will be hard to understand, and thats why im going to tell you this now MASTER EVERYTHING IN THIS VIDEO FIRST Coils high tech and flashy combos are only viable AFTER you learn flowing (thats its official name now) since they all branch off from flow. Another thing this video highlights, You srent the main character, dont pick random 1v1s if you want to win, you arent me, you wont win, I am him., I will win. Seriously though, Coils a support and while his danage can go CRAZY under specific circumstances, you need to know HOW to get those circumstances, I might highlight that in my video. Thats about it, cya ...ill never forget you missing that trimp at 5:23 Bee...
Also, one thing ill highlight too, your goal in fusion Coil is to get off all 3 S rank breakers to buff your team, rather than just kill, do your best to cap style DURING the cooldown so you can breaker the second its off cd!
Coil or Boil? (Coil is just a Biograft in the support catagory) Also thank goodness you said a use for regen e I was always having trouble finding a use for it lol
So in one of my matches, this rocket was gonna ult to get out of the situation so I used his teammate to jump boost up to him and just sniped him with another jump grav coil lmao.
5:12 I prefer when I get speed because I play a much stupider “agressive” subspace and being fast and in the air floating makes me very difficult to hit But yeah regen is great
real scythe users never lose the coil scythe 1v1 (this is a lie) anyway awesome guide!! If I ever feel masochistic and decide to use coil I will study this video down to a T
tbh im still as confused as before. i think looping should be explained more in depth because its hard to tell when its most optimal to use "this" or "that"
@@BeeWithSunglasses ty for advice! another question tho - i noticed in your 'Melee and PROXIMITY' guide that you mentioned using vertical distance to confuse the enemy as Sword, giving freedom to move around the enemy. During the katana section you describe jumping before m1 for tactical advantage. Would playing Coil only in gravity mode be beneficial to learn Katana air combat? Or should I just stick with Sword?
Well one thing could be that you have much higher expectations now, and another could be that you’re trying to shove too many changes into your playstyle at once. Getting better at coil is a process where you add habit after habit and remove bad habit after bad habit. If you try doing everything in this guide at once, it might not go very well. If you have further questions make sure to ask!
@@BeeWithSunglasses yep u were right on nearly everything.. I still think guides aren’t for me since they confuse me, but I have been getting better at coil ever since I learned to do the things you mentioned in your comment.. At the time when I posted the comment I was annoyed cause I kept practicing and watching guides and they wouldn’t help me at all, which I should’ve just tried playing and learning to incorporate things into my playstyle overtime. Apologies for the rude comment !!🙏
