So, I am going to assume that those nine children are still alive. I hope that since they didn't give a count of kids who have died that hopefully none have died. I am in my 70s, so is my spouse. I am a 3 x cancer survivor, my spouse has survived a widow maker heart attack. We attend a college football game with about 109,000 fans regularly over the past 50 years. There are metal detectors, heavy police presence, you can not take anything into the sports facilities and your body is scanned. I have never been afraid. What was done to enhance security at this huge event? How did shooters get guns into the area?

Some people should not have guns. I am a gun owner but do not carry all the time. I do if going through a high crime area. I keep weapon near while at home,we live in a rural county setting. There is hunting in the area and have been some home invasions. Those were usually a city person who moved to the country and their problems followed. Usually life time country people don't get bothered. Yes I have a safe and all valuables and guns beside the one I keep the other my wife's are kept out. We are both very efficient on placing shots.

Having no access at certain points plus checking bags at entry points should be standard procedure. It’s like people bring guns to large events because they know absolutely no one will check.
