Yes it is. The first main battle in S1 with Uhrtred is a real battle! However, the author of the books, have said that non of the characters are like the real life characters 100%. He wanted to make it his own story that’s why a lot of characters act differently to what “legends” say that act. For example Uhrted is a real person but his story is slightly different.
