I know what he did. Ysolda is part of a quest line involving Sanguine. Part of the quest involves you getting engaged but not remembering any of it. Bethesda never put alternate diologue for if you married Ysolda before this quest line started. She just lends out the wedding ring and is only upset that you haven't returned it yet.
