So brilliantly faithful to the original, and Doja still knows how to put her stamp on it. People be doing covers and “making the song their own”, but way too often and often with lame changes to the melody, music, arrangement. Y’all ain’t Jeff Buckley.
@@taintedlife2618 Because she wanted to be more original? She could have been copyrighted if she covered the song exactly the same. And her vocals were great.
@@jasminetapia458 vocals were great but the original is so good it has no impact for me. And striving for originality in a cover that is damn similar is kinda pointless. The extra lyrics weren’t even good.

@@jasminetapia458 Covers are regularly done with original lyrics. Rock stations wouldn't have a problem with it but top 40 radio being targeted to teens and young adults would have had that line censored if it hadn't been changed. Actually quite impressed with this cover and it's great that this cover kept the original drums and rock guitar of the original by Hole as that song is so synonymous with the latter days of grunge rock music.
I'm not even mad about the commercial site. It's awesome to see the music that made me feel alive have a breath of life brought into it. Plus seeing women of color in the punk scene is everything.
It's funnier because clowns are related to Ronald McDonald and Taco Bell through this ad is basically saying 'quit being a clown, be cool with taco bell'
This a cover legendary song from the legendary Hole sung by its fontwoman, Courtney Love, wife of the late legendary Curt Cobain, frontman of the greatesr grunge rock band, Nirvana. I don't know the singer of this song cover. She sang it well. okay don't get me wrong here... I LOVE Doja Cat. Been a huge fan since I first heard "So High" in 2014 and have seriously been rooting for her come up, she deserves every bit of success she has earned and is a versatile artist in so many ways. it just sucks that taco bell basically made her do this cover as an advertisement. This music video is literally just a video clip reversed and repeated. Boring and subliminal, it kinda breaks my heart a lil bit that she had barely any creative input on this. also her instagram vid about how TB *forced* her to make it. with that said, I still and always will love Doja. she is incredibly talented and as you can see "I'm not selling cheap".. she's not going anywhere but UP!
