    The Trash Fish and Flashy Thingy go well together. It looks like a little shark and a pilot fish in the water. I'm thinking the blade might be just the thing to give that bait a better presence and a panicked vibration for fish to hone in on, then the visual can seal the deal. The smaller versions have worked well on skirtless chatter-baits in the past.

    Dude literally a month ago I switched up on a rough day with a swinging weighted head a keitech fat 3.8 white flash trailer on a Colorado blade spinner. Man it was game on slow rolling it with a pull up on the rod and letting that bait fall back to a slow roll. They would usually smash it reeling in that loose line. Since I've caught over 40 nice bass on the same technique. I was like yes yes when I saw you pull that rig out. Love the channel. It's been a great year for me fishing here in eastern NC. A lot of thanks to you guys and all the tips.

    I'm so glad owner changed the style of the flashy swimmer. a few years ago the blades would come off when a fish jumped. They seem to have corrected that problem. if you ever want to make the blade more compact, take the wire off of the hook and take the blade off of the wire. Attach the split ring on the blade to a barrel swivel (I used the spro barrel swivels). Attach another split ring to the other side of the barrel swivel a d attach it to the hook in place of the wire. It makes it more compact and didn't mess up the action of the bait. Those hooks work great with flukes too.

But I've found my biggest girls right in the thick of the brush and weeds. I like to creep right into their house, it's hard to toss your hard-earned money right into the thick of Snagglepuss! Hey guys, I came up with a interesting rigging technique. When making a texted the, start with the first hook insertion in the nose of the bait, and slide it all the way to the eye just like a normal rig. but then slide a jig rattle onto the hook and continue the rig! I have cought fish with it on flukes before. keep up the good work! -Your biggest fan :)

    Hello Tactical Bassin! I'm going to Kentucky Lake in the end of March and I'm looking for some advice. Last year, a probable 9+ pounder broke me off so I'm looking for some revenge. I was just wondering if you had anything you would personally try or any tips you have.
    Ps, the fish broke off on the connection knot(braid to mono) which was a Albright so I changed to a FG.
    Anyways, any tips would help tremendously! Thanks!

  • @slefler11

    The problem I have with owner beast hooks on those big soft paddle tail swimbaits like a 3:16 Rising Son or Weedless Rising Son is that hook point doesn't want to stay Tex-posed in the back of the bait and is constantly popping back out. I may be hooking it wrong but a simple tip or trick you use to remedy that problem would be much obliged. Great video as always.

    • @tacticalbassin
      @tacticalbassin 7 лет назад

      It all depends on the bait. If they have a slightly concave back it doesn't matter and you can just let them ride with the point exposed as the higher edges of the bait still keep it protected.

    • @slefler11
      @slefler11 7 лет назад +1

      TacticalBassin makes sense, thank you for the response. I just think with that exposed or slightly exposed hook will cause problems trying to throw up in some flooded terrestrial grass or pad/stems.

    Just out of curiosity, Matt has said in a video that belly-hooking will kill fish. I noticed Tim here seems to be a fan of this Osprey tourny talon, that has an obvious belly-hook. Does the bait have the option of top-hooking the way Savage line thru bait does? If not, any suggestions on a big 8-10 in. paddle tail that can be thrown on those Owner beast hooks? I'd prefer that big weedless rig opposed to a belly-hook.

    do you normally order you huddlestons from tacklewarehouse? I was wondering because I sent in an exchange form for a different huddleston in january. it said they were out stock til January 24th. then when the 24th came it said it wasn't in Stock until February 7th. then it moved to the 14th. then the 23rd. and now it's saying it won't be in stock until March 9th. does it normally take this long? And why don't they know the when they will be in stock?

    • @tacticalbassin
      @tacticalbassin 7 лет назад

      Yeah that's where we get all of ours. So what that is, is the date the manufacturer (in this case huddleston) told Tackle Warehouse they'd get them more product to fulfill orders. The date came and went and the manufacturer didn't ship so TW has to change the date to the next date they're promised. TW isn't the problem on that one... its a supply issue. Hang in there Bro, that sucks!

      If you're wanting to get into the BIG swimbait game, the $20 range is about as inexpensive as it gets. Its all relative and we toally understand that its out of budget for some. But in all seriousness if its too expensive, you'll be afraid to throw it in the right areas anyway. A less expensive, downsized option would be the Keitech Fat 5.8": bit.ly/2ab7s8v

    Hey guys. First off I love your guys stuff. its helped me out alot. but ok so i bought a osprey top hook but its swimming to one side(leaning to one side). is there anything you would suggest for me to troubleshoot to try to get it swimming right? Thanks

      Sounds like the tail got bent. If that's the case just hold it in boiling water then hang it straight. If that isn't the problem, fish it slower. :-)

    How do you like the Rytham Waves? How do they compare to the Impacts?

    • @tacticalbassin
      @tacticalbassin 7 лет назад +1

      They're nice. They're a little flatter so they don't work as well as trailers but they work great as a stand alone swimbait.

      righteous brother...I've never used swimbaits until lately, due to my son watching these videos. I've always been a run-n-gun guy with spinner/crankbaits; occasionally slowing for a Carolina rigged lizard.
