Are you ready for a stress-free summer (or winter, in the southern hemisphere)? Let me know what YOU are going to declutter! 1 Seasonal items, 2 Rarely used gadgets/appliances, 3 Multiples, 4 Random food items, 5 plastics, water bottles and picnicware! 😍🍒 Rah, rah, rah!
Hi Diane, I always enjoy watching your videos. Always upbeat and informative! All I have to do is start. I'm slowly getting there! Thanks for the encouragement! God bless ❤
Random food items! Feels good to let them go!! Thanks Diane 🎉🎉🎉
Hi Diane, I am decluttering random food items today! Thank you for the videos, inspiration and motivation!
You look stunning in your dress today! I’ll be moving out old appliances and random foods.
As always thanks for the inspiration! 😁
@user-vy1zd8mg5u Go you! 🙏😃
Never never never declutter those Pom poms❤.
Diane, that dress is fabulous
Thanks, Sherry! 👗 I got the dress at a Swap a few years ago, I wear it often in the summer, so lovely and cool 😍
I agree! The pink halter top in the last video is another winner too especially with the flower embellishment for summer.
Ditto what sherry said! 👗💃
I agree.
I agree. I saw your video and immediately started looking for it on Amazon.
Eating up and decluttering random food items, vitamins, and supplements! The open space is a game changer! ❤
Diane ❤, so good to see that decluttering is an ongoing process - and after all these years you still find so much stuff to let go!!! Amazing.
Cleaning out food items that my “fantasy self” bought!!😂
I am doing the same 🤣
My aunt would make a corned beef hash whenever we traveled on vacation. Cut potatoes into small dice. Heat a tiny bit of oil in a skillet and add potatoes. Fry until about halfway done. Add diced onions and cook till almost done. Add corned beef. Do not season. It is quite salty. Crumble and cook until heated through. Serve with toast and eggs. I love it but we buy it very rarely.
My husband loves corned beef hash!
i just made corn beef hash last week. i do put pepper on it.😋
Or you can just mix it into scrambled eggs.
My husband also loves this hash and he also likes it with mashed potatoes. Also, make a rye bread sandwich with corned beef and mustard, make it open face with cheese melted on top.
My Nan still does this whenever we go on holiday! Love it! 😋
Getting rid of extra plastic food containers from restaurants--to recycling they go! Also going through the fridge/cupboards for old condiment and spices. Thanks as always for your cheerful motivation💖
Packed up two grocery sacks for a charity food pantry. They really need items year round. Then I cleaned out the fridge.
As it's fly lady zone 2, I've been doing a more deep clean of the cupboards and going through the items (food and tools) to declutter. I always love when things look decluttered, clean and organised again. 🤗
The dress is beautiful the colour and style fit you perfectly. I decluttered all of the small appliances I wasn't uslng last year but I did manage to declutter a few small items in the kitchen, when I was trying to decide if I should keep them or let them go I asked myself "what would Diane do?" So that made it an easy decision. Also decluttered a pair of sneakers and an empty shampoo bottle. I have several shampoos open so I am going to use one up completely before I start another one and just have one instead of several to cut down an clutter. Not a lot of decluttering but it all adds up over time. Have a wonderful weekend.
I'm out of town at my son's graduation, but thanks to FLy Lady and you, Diane, I'll be coming back to my clean house! Rah Rah!
Seasonal items were heavily sorted just weeks ago when we sorted the store room 😊 Small kitchen means essential gadgets only get to stay 😊 I am down to essential water bottles/picnic stuff 😊 Food items are good - only buy what I use 😊
I must have been following you for a long time.
BUT - I am going to do my knives, thank you for making me realise I don't need quite so many and duplicates.
Corned beef hash, serve with eggs and baked beans, it's one of my husbands favorites and one of our go to meals when away in the campervan!
Plastic boxes and picnic ware sorted!
When I used to go on camping holidays, I always made corned beef hash on our last day, when we had run out of fresh food. Everything from a tin except an onion which you fry, then chuck in drained tinned potatoes, corned beef and baked beans. Stir it all together until hot then serve it up looking like a dog's dinner! It's great 😅😅
I have more water bottles than I can count. Out the door they go!🎉🎉🎉
I have multiple coffee cups, out they go❤
I've decluttered our medicine cabinet. Thanks Diane!
I have been decluttering for the last few months. I live in a small condo with limited space. Decluttering feels great. Now I need to work on my son’s house. Just started watching
Thank you Diane perfect video for how I am feeling. You really support me every week to deal with overwhelm you are the best ❤❤❤
Hi, Diane. I will be decluttering my dishcloths. I took up crocheting and made more dishcloths than I will ever use. Cheers!🦋🦋🦋
Decluttered old Christmas tea towels and tons of useless stationary supplies from a drawer. Will go through plastics this afternoon. Have a great weekend!! 🪴🌻🪷
Dear Diane, I worked in the kitchen this morning and decluttered a few unused food storage containers, an old apron, tossed out an old piece of ginger that was hidden in our onions and garlic jar and decided to finally use up some canned vegetables, I had bought on a whim.
Have a great and successful week
Love these small declutters, very little bit makes a difference.😊
Quick corned beef meal: thinly slice/shred small green cabbage or half a large head. Heat small amount of oil in skillet. Add cabbage and some thinly sliced onion. Sauté until nearly cooked through. Add some shredded carrot (optional), the corned beef, and a bit of soy sauce to taste. Sesame oil is also a good addition. Heat through and serve over rice. Kids, especially, seem to love this recipe.
Or over mashed potatoes
I can’t believe how much I was able to declutter from my food pantry! TY for the motivation!
You are so welcome, Maureen!
Surprisingly, I accomplished quite a lot this week. The 10 minute cleans motivated me and I tried 2 new recipes. I used 2 appliances this week and discovered I had room in my cabinet when I put them back. 2 appliances are going into my donate box and am 1hoping to sell a seasonal item.
Great Ideas. Thank you. You look great in that blue dress. Fabulous color.
Hello hello! Thanks to your motivation I cleared out the freezer. Enjoy your weekend everyone! 💙
Hi Diane, on viewing this, halfway through I went to get out icecream containers for the local community centre. I only had 4 - ha! I'd decluttered a few months back thanks to you. Will keep those 4 for soup as it's coming into winter in NZ now. Have already gone through my "doubles" of things, thanks to you. I am getting my forever kitchen installed in a few weeks, so the decluttering will continue then. Thanks for all your motivation. Darlene in NZ
Hi Diane, cut up the corned beef and fry with some onions and cracked pepper and have it on buttered toast.
You are the best Dianne.....decluttered my food cupboard and freezer. Used up some frozen spring rolls and salt and pepper chicken for tea last night! Rah rah Rah 😊
I had two, almost new, sizes of electric skillets Inised years ago to take food to potlucks. Gave them to charity along with two kitchen knives and a big thick wooden spatula I got as a gift and never used. A stack of four kitchen towels are now in a bin to be used in the garage for our cars.
I'm checking and sorting out my pantry. And finding a better place to store seasonal items 😊
boiled potatoes and corned beef: a summer meal in the '70s
Corned beef hash is a breakfast food in America and one of my favorites. Serve it up with an over easy egg! I took to the top shelf of my refrigerator. Many jarred items partially used but then discarded to the back (old salsas, pizza sauce, etc.). It’s nice to see the back again!
What a great dress! I do love polka dots! I don't have much to declutter in the kitchen as it is an ongoing process for me, but I could probably get rid of some empty cans that have plastic lids (that I make toys for grandson with) and maybe some empty glass jars, because I have so many.
My kitchen is the most decluttered space in hour house 🎉.
I did pantry, did find some food we dont like. Feels really fresh and organised for summer now!
I took 5 minutes to check the kitchen, figuring that i wouldn't find anything. Well, I found a bag of snack food that only had crumbs remaining. It was hiding in the back of the cabinet. Love the sun dress. LLAP 🖖
Corned Beef! Always a good emergency food. We cut potatoes into cubes and then sauté them with the corned beef. Corned Beef Hash! Yummy breakfast on a cold day..... (add a fried egg on top!)
My category is rarely used appliance. We had a blender we were not using so I sold it. With the corn beef, you could turn it into corn beef patties, a bit like fish cakes and have it with some salad, delicious.
Fry corn beef with a bit of butter and diced onions and served over boiled potatoes and cabbage and add some herbs 🥰 or you can fry it and use it as toppings on salads like bacon.
Love you in the Blue 😮outfit … with white dots … you look so Beautiful . Thank you for keeping me in order .with Fly Lady … 6 June 2024
Thanks for the constant motivation Diane. I cleared out some unused sauces, ols spices, old frozen food and passed on some tea that I didn't enjoy. I'm making space in my kitchwn and getting rid of things I dont need.
Resetting after a weekend of festivities. My capacity is limited, so werking small bits at a time, with your videos as a timer! :)
This is off topic, but I have started washing my windows. It always seemed so onerous until I watched you whip through the task. How novel (to me) that I can get away with just one room at a time. Am also decluttering little by little, thanks to your encouragement.
I decluttered my pie maker and sandwich maker as I haven't used them for years.
We need to declutter some food items. Thanks for the gentle nudge👍🙂
Hi, Diane, before watching this video, I yesterday morning started to declutter my tea-o-logie , as my husband calls it, a shelf with a lot of half empty packages of tea, in the back row the teas I got as gifts or donated…. they all had licorice inside and I don’t like that at all. They were older now and donation was senseless, so I threw them away, which is ridiculously difficult for me, if it’s a present 🤷🏼♀. Today it will be the fridge… there are some older condiments and donations I never used. I’ve already begun in the last days to wash shelf’s in the fridge, which I don’t like to do. But now hubby is cycling in Ireland and Scotland and the dishwasher is never full, so I’ll put all of that little shelves into it. But I don’t forget the rest in the sun: after some changing and quite chilly days we finally have sun and I plan to have a nice reading hour and wear a summer dress 👗. Love, Monika❣
Today, I decluttered some very old expired spices!! Yeah, for me 🥳
I declutterred an old, no longer nonstick frying pan, a plastic fruit bowl, rubber gloves, and a boring book I’ve tried to read (unsuccessfully) at least 3 times! Have a lovely weekend.
We love corned beef in Puerto Rico. We make stew like meal with it. Some minced onion, bell pepper, garlic, spices, broth, tomato sauce and yikes you have it.... I personally add french cut, canned beans, boiled egg halves and eat it with any rice. Also love to just stir fry it until really crusty and dry, with a fried egg over white rice.
My anan used to make 'racehorses' with left over corned meat. They are a batter with peas corn and carrots (precooked so they are soft) and then cooked like a pancake. Great with a salad and some kind of tomato relish. Enjoy
My mom had a recipe - if you could call it that - for canned corned beef she used to serve us as kids. My sister and I had a huge laugh over you decluttering that!
👏😂😂😂
I’m back. My home is my focus!
I bought new butter dish so the old one has left the building 😂. I'm going to go through unusual foods and try and use them up. Have corned beef in sandwiches with English mustard 😋
Ooo, that sounds good, Sarah - love mustard - and summery too! 🥪🥪☀️
A meat slicer that someone gave me a couple years ago. I think I have used it twice. It's going out...rah! Rah! Rah! Thanks for these reminders. Great video!
Hi Diane! I'm working on our lake cabin kitchen and have decluttered the extra dishes, baskets and knick-knacks. Also made our cabinets and refrigerator more efficient just by adjusting the shelves up or down to suit our needs. Thanks for another great video!
Cleaned out fridge today and going to keep doing it once a week to be on top of summer fruits & veggies
We have a very small kitchen so I’m pretty on top of things and keeping it minimal. But, I will go through each shelf and drawer tomorrow and I’ll bet I find something to declutter! 😂
I found a no longer needed garlic press, a metal spatula with a crack in it (I’d kept too long but it was my favourite!), three old plastic Tupperware containers and a glass jar I’d lost the lid to. Thanks for the motivation, Diane!
I love your dress Diane 🩵👗
Got some tea towels for my birthday, headed to demote a couple older ones in the drawer to cleaning rags. Have a good weekend!!
I recently purchased a metal French press that works great and keeps the coffee warm. It’s time to let go of my plastic one! Thank you for keeping your Pom Poms! 😂
Diane...you do know that the Instant Pot makes PERFECT rice...declutter your rice cooker 😏 Marlene in 🇨🇦
OMG! Went thru my spice cabinet, yikes!!! I think some of the stuff was expired before we moved into this house😕
Thank you for your encouragement and always being real with us.
Decluttered small jars and rarely used vases - surprising how much space they took up! Thanks for the inspiration.
Putting together a donate box from all zones this month. I've never seen a pan & griddle set like you showed. Interesting!
Someone else mentioned making stovies with the corned beef, although in Glasgow we use Lorne sausages, or "square" sausages as most Glaswegians call them.
I think it will be a good idea to do a food clearout before we go away for the summer 🌞⛱️
When I was a student I made corned beef casserole! Though as a child I had it sliced in sandwiches like ham.
My mother used to make a gravy and add corned beef to it, and we would have it over toast, English muffins or American biscuits.
I got rid of some old condiments from the fridge this Wednesday- woop woop 🎉
This inspired me to get up and declutter my tupperware! Thanks Diane
I loved it when you said “Haven’t decluttered those” about the pompons 😂Not having the best day so thank you for making me laugh ❤
I was able to clean out the fridge today! Thanks Diane!
Thank you very much Diane!
😮Corned beef is fantastic to make stovies 😋😋😋
Pulled out a few food packages from the fridge and pantry that were hidden behind more popular food items. I plan to cook up and eat them this week. Thanks for that idea!
Thanks to following your channel for some years now, I don’t actually have much to declutter, but I’ll certainly take a look 👀 😂 xxxx
Corned beef stovies 😋xx
Bit late as usual, but the coffee maker I've not used for years is on a free FB site, and hopefully being picked up this eve, been meaning to get rid of it for months and took 5 mins, am looking at my sons no longer played with toys and going to list those for him now.......once the momentum starts it's hard to stop 🎉
I have a popcorn maker, small loaf bread maker and a set of tea cups I have never used that I plan on donating.
Very helpful clean out list! Going to start with a shelf a day to sort out random food items.
Thank you Diane!!
Thank you Diane. Most amazed at how many things you still have left to declutter even though after all these years are following you, you are regularly decluttering. Reminder that we really are never finished! Hope you've had a great weekend!
Thanks Diane first that dress looks lovely on you I'll declutter food items (it's shopping week) and plastics it's annoying when you can't find lids (probably already thrown them out)😂❤
Corned beef hash recipes are plentiful online, and I even saw one with cabbage in it. 😊
I'll definitely Google it...not a huge cabbage fan so I think that's why I've been procrastinating! 😄
Love your videos;❤ following you since the start, a few years now , but never get bored of them.
You are always a breath of fresh air ✨️.
Beautiful dress😊
Hitting the rarely used cabinet! Lots of appliance accessories that can go.
Hello Diane, another great video, thank you! I've been watching your channel for many years now and always appreciate your helpful and practical tips! I love how you so thoughtfully donate the items you no longer need. How do you find the time to to find new homes or donate items on a regular basis? Do you make this part of your errand day to drop off the items to specific people or places?
Love that color on you! I did indeed declutter some things in my kitchen! Picnic items like the ones you mentioned, in fact! A good time of year to do so. We’re off on vacation today! See you in a week! 💖
I tend to freeze single portions of food after my family is tired of them and once I have a collection I thaw them out and we have an odds and ends night. I seem to collect jam jars and mason jars so I’m working on decluttering those 😊
I amm decluttering my spices. I do need to let go of some vintage aprons. Have a lovely day.
Diane, great video. I'm donating my salad spinner this week. ❤
For corned beef, look up a recipe for Reuben sandwiches.
Thanks for the tip, Lola!
🎉🎉
use the corned beef in a quiche with eggs and steamed zucchini and cheese
Taking my seasonal items downstairs right now!!
I am decluttering multiples of kitchen utensils.
I have those same GLOBE brand knives and love them! Happy weekend Diane!❤
Love this - thank you - I have just decluttered things in my garden so there’s not so much to do out there - it seems much more peaceful - on to the kitchen this weekend - thank you as always Diane xx
