Rogue Squadron 2 and 3 still remain one of my top SW/Gamecube games as I revisit them on occasions. Both games made you feel living the original trilogy best moments plus I really dig the unlockable arcade games from Atari.

Bounty Hunter really made me fall in love with Jango Fett. You could say it made me appreciate the profession of a futuristic bounty hunter since I already had an interest thanks to Samus Aran.
Nice! Yeah, Bounty Hunter was a good game, and I always thought Jango Fett was cool, but Samus Aran is the best bounty hunter lol. Thanks for checking out the video!
Rogue Squadron series is a great entry both for Star Wars fans and dogfighting fans. Still one of the great experiences one can have on these kind of games.

I absolutely love the GameCube! I was just playing Rogue Leader and even posted the unlock-able making of documentary on my channel. Great list of games!
I love that you waited for May the 4th to do this! I have had all of the STAR WARS games on Gamecube for as long as I can remember! These games are amazing. I personally love Bounty Hunter and have put in tons of time into it! Lego STAR WARS takes the cake for me, the first video game I ever owned. Rogue Squadron II is amazing and I revisit it to this day... but for some reason, i just havent put any time into Rogue Leader III and idk why!! The Clone Wars and Jedi Outcast are super cool too!! Great video, thanks for the upload! Took me back :)
Thank you man! I was debating releasing this video on the Sunday that passed, but it was too perfect of an opportunity to miss releasing this on May the 4th. Bounty Hunter is a really good game for sure! Rogue Leader is outstanding, and Jedi Outcast is another awesome one. Clone Wars is a surprisingly good game too! Definitely play Rebel Strike some time, as it’s a very content rich game with plenty of variety. Glad you enjoyed the video man!
Omg that intro bro ........ Gosh I still remember when I just got my GameCube rogue squadron was my first star wars game (was probably my "second game" as I got 1080 at the same time but I think 1080 avalanche came with the GameCube so yeah anyways) ... That game ... Holy freaking god !!!!

I agree with you on every Star Wars game for the GameCube. Rogue Squadron II Rogue Leader is my favorite that I still play today. I have great memories playing that game on launch day. Bounty Hunter and Jedi Outcast are fun as well. Great video!
Awesome video buddy. I felt the force in this one and it made me want to throw in my GameCube Star Wars games. Loved the bonus Atari games in Rogue Squadron III. Super cool!
Bounty Hunter was definitely a really fun game! I do wish they continued that gameplay style in a future installment. Thanks for checking out the video!
I played all of these games, but I think I had Lego Star Wars on the PS2. Regardless, I loved all of them (I remember my parents getting Rogue Leader and Bounty Hunter for me when I was sick), and when we got rid of our old GameCube and Nintendo Wii, I kept the games (as well as Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness). Then, about four years ago, when I couldn't get the emulated versions to run faster than a snail, I bought a second-hand Wii and set it up to my monitor so I could play the games at my computer desk. The games are just as fun as I remember.
Outstanding video man! We've had so many good Star Wars games over the years and the GameCube definitely had a big chunk of them. Some great ones mentioned here...many of which got several hours out of me over the years. Cheers man!
Thank you man! We definitely had a healthy amount of great Star Wars games, and more so on the GameCube! So many great ones we were fortunate to experience on there. Thanks again for checking out the video!
This was awesome! The intro was really well done and made me chuckle at the blah blah blah part lol! I'm not even a Star Wars fan and even I enjoyed Jedi Outcast on the GC! Great video and keep up the good work!
There's plenty of great Star Wars games to play, between all the ones mentioned here in the video, as well as more current ones like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Thanks for checking out the video!
Awesome episode man! Rogue Leader is a great game still today! I’ve actually not played Rebel Strike. That’s awesome that the Atari SW games are on that disc! Goes without saying that the Lego Star Wars games are my favorite Lego games as well as Star Wars games. 1 and 2’s replay ability and unlockables alone are more than worth it to keep coming back. Such a great video to drop for May 4th! Well done buddy!
Thank you man! Rogue Leader really is in a league of its own! Rebel Strike is a really good game too, and was very ambitious. The fact that the Atari SW trilogy arcade games are unlockable is so awesome. I love when games have that kind of unlockable content. The Lego Star Wars games are a really fun time for sure, with tons of replay value. Glad you enjoyed the video man!
That’s awesome! Thank you! Glad you really enjoyed the video and found it helpful! Feel free to check out the various other GameCube content on the channel if you’re looking for more games to add to your library. 👍
The Rogue Squadron games are definitely essentials to experience on the GameCube. Jedi Outcast actually plays quite well on the GameCube 👍. Thanks for checking out the video!
Awesome look at these games, didn't know Jedi Outcast was on the 'Cube back in the day (I played it on PC). My buddy & I were just talking about how Rogue Squadron still holds up today super well, seems there's some "best" Star Wars games lists that are putting it much lower than it deserves or omitting it. That title crawl was perfect to setup the tone of the video & made me smile from ear to ear, great job all around. Id love to see more of these games remastered & re-released, as I feel like gaming is a medium that benefits from it tremendously & specifically this era.
Thank you man! Jedi Outcast was a fairly competent port on the GameCube, despite some visual inconsistencies. The Rogue Squadron series is pretty awesome, and Rogue Leader is easily in my top 5 Star Wars games of all-time. Glad you really enjoyed the title sequence in the intro! I had a ton of fun putting that together, and really wanted to set the mood of the video properly lol. Thankfully Aspyr has been doing several Star Wars remasters on PS4/Switch/X1, and they expressed interest in remastering Rogue Squadron. However, the director of the Rogue Squadron games from Factor 5 recently tweeted that he'd love for the cancelled Wii title, Rogue Leaders, to be remastered, as that was a remaster of the whole trilogy that took full advantage of every Wii control option. Here's hoping that can happen on Switch!
Thank you, Mark! Definitely had a great May 4th, and hope you did as well. I wrapped up my night rewatching Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and that final battle sequence still holds up so well.
I’ve had Rouge Leader for all these years since when I borrowed it almost 20 years ago I didn’t realise the disc wasn’t in the box when I returned it. I sold my GameCube in 2005 but finally just got another one and I popped in the game and it was still fun. But I wouldn’t say it looked nearly as good as I remember. But then I am playing with composite on an LCD TV. I’m waiting for an RGB SCART cable to see if it looks better. Component for GC costs several times more than the console and PAL (EU) games don’t support progressive scan anyway just like with the OG XBOX we got features stripped out in Europe because we didn’t have progressive scan capable TVs in the early 2000s.
Oh I’d definitely recommend investing in an HDMI adapter like the EON GCHD or Insurrection Carby to get 480p signal. Cleans up the visuals quite a bit! Every time I put this game in, I’m still stunned at how they pulled off these visuals for a launch day title. Thanks for checking out the video!
@@GameCubeGalaxy I can’t find them here in Sweden and importing is expensive due to import fees. I did however plug it into my CRT with RGB SCART and it looks so much better than on the LCD.

There are a cupple of home console versions of the first Atari arcade game... But on old consoles... You have the Atari 2600 version, collecovision, and commodore 64... At least that I know of... Maybe there is more...
Oh absolutely! It’s a shame they didn’t bring those to the GameCube, cause 4-Player split screen would’ve been awesome. Thanks for checking out the video!
The only two Star Wars games for the Gamecube I'm missing is the Bounty Hunter game and the first Lego star wars game. There's also a bounty hunter game with alternative artwork I've seen but never owned. Loved the Star Wars graphics at the beginning of the video.
Glad you loved the Star Wars graphic/text intro! Bounty Hunter is definitely a good game, and that correct that it had a limited variant cover as well. The first Lego Star Wars is a fun time and cool to even visit now seeing how the first in the Lego series of games fared. Thanks for checking out the video!
Duuuuuuuude!!! Freaking fantastic video Marcello! This might surprise you but I have actually played VERY LITTLE of the Rogue Squadron games on GameCube. I really need to get into those
Thank you man!! Oh man, I HIGHLY recommend you experience the Rogue Squadron games. You’ll really dig them. Thanks again for checking out the video man!
Handful of awesome Star Wars games as always. And a good thing is that you can play Bounty Hunter on PS4 (and PS5 via BC) with the PS2 Classics port, Clone Wars on Xbox One and Series with BC, Jedi Outcast on PS4 (PS5 via BC, again) and Switch with the Aspyr port or the Vicarious Visions Xbox Original port on Xbox One and Series with BC and play the Xbox 360 version of Lego The Original Trilogy on Xbox One and Series or even better, The Complete Saga which combines both the Lego Prequel Trilogy and Lego Original Trilogy games into one game. As long as you have the consoles I mentioned, you can still play some of these games on modern consoles. Although the Factor 5 games have yet to be ported to modern consoles and maybe while they are at it then maybe they can port the Jedi Knight games before Jedi Outcast, Bounty Hunter and others that aren't already available on specific platforms.
That's a great point! Many of these are replayable via backwards compatibility on the Xbox consoles, as well as several remasters we've seen on PS4/Switch. Aspyr has expressed interest in remastering the Rogue Squadron games (at least the first one so far), so time will tell. Thanks for checking out the video!
@@GameCubeGalaxy Yeah. They are great ways to play these games on today's consoles or for newer Star Wars fans to experience awesome Star Wars gaming moments and pretty much (One of) the Golden Age. As much as I enjoyed the modern Battlefront games, Jedi Fallen Order and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, these games pretty much fit the bill for people who want to wield a Lightsaber and use the Force, be Jango Fett a fearless bounty hunter, pilot ships like the X-Wings and take part of the Clone Wars from Episode II or have some fun for all ages with the Lego games.
Ill be that guy, if the game is too dark, AND for aome reason tehy dont include brightness settings...just raise it on your tv until you can see Great video!! So many hours lovingly invested in star wars!!
I have viciously played bounty hunter for 20 years and you can’t pick up weapons from enemies they appear on the map , if there’s a way to do so instruct me please
Easily one of the best Star Wars games ever made in my opinion. 20+ years later, it still blows my mind that the game still looks as amazing as it did back then. Thanks for checking out the video man!
Late to the GameCube party! Got mine a couple years a ago along with a Retro bit Prism for playing on a smart tv. Question: playing Rogue Squadron Rebel Strike I noticed a weird pattern in the sky during 1st mission. Do you get this while playing on smart tv? Seems switching to cinema mode on the tv helps. Enjoyed the this video and the others, keep them coming.
It's never too late to jump into the GameCube party! Glad to hear you're onboard, and got a Retro-bit Prism as well! I don't think I noticed the odd sky textures in the game's first mission, but so I do wonder if that's a TV setting with the color output maybe? I say that since you said Cinema mode on your TV fixed it. That being said, glad you're enjoying the content, and hope you continue to enjoy the various videos! Thanks again for checking out the video!
Hi there! I personally felt the GameCube stood strong compared to the PS2. While it didn’t have as vast of a library, the GC had a quality library of exclusives that stood out. I loved the PS2 also, but the GameCube I always felt was heavily underappreciated. Hope that helps! Thanks again for checking out the video!
@@GameCubeGalaxy Hi! I liked the PS2 too. I was surprised the other day on a second hand website to see a PS1 much + expensive than a PS2, around 500 euros vs 120 euros. 🤷🏻 Rarity I guess or/and collectibility must be some of the explanation I guess.
Bounty Hunter is a really enjoyable one, and I missed out on the LRG release too, but I’d say it’s still worth nabbing even digitally on PS4…or you can nab the GameCube version 👍. The Rogue Squadron games were excellent, and I’d love to see Factor 5 make a new one (since the studio is intact again from what I heard). Thanks for checking out the video man!
Sadly, because no developers wanted to take advantage of the GameCube’s Broadband Adapter features, and Battlefront was marketed as an online multiplayer game (despite being fully playable offline and split-screen). I wish they came to the GameCube! Thanks for checking out the video!
The GameCube had the best Star Wars games from rouge leader to the Lego Star Wars series and the magnificent mid other Star Wars games it’s sad we never got battlefront for the GameCube I get why we didn’t but I sorta wished we had it for wii Btw I actually own all the GameCube Star Wars games except for clone wars I’ll see if I can find a copy soon aside from that nice list may the 4 with u Jedi master
The GameCube really had quality Star Wars games. It is a shame it didn’t receive the Battlefront games and utilize that Broadband Adapter. Also would’ve liked to have Episode III: Revenge of the Sith on there, as it released on literally every platform but GameCube lol. That’s awesome you have all the Star Wars titles except Clone Wars, but luckily that one is still a reasonable price to pick up. Thanks again for checking out the video! May the force be with you as well.
@@GameCubeGalaxy fr they could have used the broadband adapter and yes revenge of the with not a great game but it could have fitted on a GameCube disc I guess they didn’t want too or cared to ported over battlefront idk I could but I doubt it
@@kokotheclown2588 I wish the broadband adapter was utilized far more. Revenge of the Sith I heard wasn’t a great game by any means on PS2/Xbox, but I still would’ve liked to play it on GameCube. I still plan on playing that game one day.
@@GameCubeGalaxy would u think battlefront have fitted on a GameCube disc imo I don’t think so but then again some big games have fitted on the cube I sorta wished we had a port of it on Wii but it wasn’t mean to be
@@kokotheclown2588 apparently the first Battlefront game was only 1.3GB, so it definitely could’ve fit on a GameCube disc if that was the case. Battlefront on the Wii would’ve been cool though, especially with the aiming controls if done well.
something I really need to say about rogue squadron, I hated the soundtrack, I just wanted star wars music but got really generic and bad adventurey music more often I never see anyone talk about this so I don't know if I'm alone in this
I've never understood why anyone likes the Atari Star Wars arcade games. They suck. I remember seeing them in the arcades as a kid in the 80's. In true Atari style... the cab looked great on the outside but as soon as the game started I knew I'd wasted my money.

The Original Trilogy Nintendo Game Cube 🎮 was Classic Star War's Full Series of Luke and Leia Story After the Clone War's Game Cube 🎮
Ill be that guy, if the game is too dark, AND for aome reason tehy dont include brightness settings...just raise it on your tv until you can see
Great video!! So many hours lovingly invested in star wars!!
Yeah, I used to have to change the TV brightness for various games back then lol. Glad you enjoyed the video!!
Rogue Squadron 2 is just one of the best games for the GC. They did a stellar job with it.
100% agreed! It really is a spectacular game! Thank you for checking out the video!
I have viciously played bounty hunter for 20 years and you can’t pick up weapons from enemies they appear on the map , if there’s a way to do so instruct me please
Rogue leader is definitely pretty good.
Easily one of the best Star Wars games ever made in my opinion. 20+ years later, it still blows my mind that the game still looks as amazing as it did back then. Thanks for checking out the video man!
Nintendo Game Cube 🎮 Prequels Trilogy Series of STAR WARS Before The Original Star Wars Trilogy GameCube 🎮
I'll check the color output settings too thanks. Do you use a tv crt or smart tv for yours?
@@timneumann7184 I am using a smart TV when playing it. I wish I still had my CRT lol.
May The 4th be with us 🇺🇸....
May the 4th be with us all indeed. Thanks for checking out the video!
good gameplay just supported u
Thank you man! Glad you enjoyed it, and appreciate the support!
I played all of them on gamecube and ps2
Impressive...most impressive! Thanks for checking out the video!
Hi!
I liked the look of the game cube, but I only played at it about 30 hours altogether.
How did it compare to the PlayStation 2?
Rarity I guess or/and collectibility must be some of the explanation I guess.
I’ve played them all besides Bounty Hunter, and I missed out on the LRG release of it. 😭 They really need to bring back Rogue Squadron.
Why weren’t Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2 on the GameCube?
Sadly, because no developers wanted to take advantage of the GameCube’s Broadband Adapter features, and Battlefront was marketed as an online multiplayer game (despite being fully playable offline and split-screen). I wish they came to the GameCube! Thanks for checking out the video!
As much as people here comment about rogue squadron games i actually enjoyed the jedi knight games more
The Jedi Knight games were awesome for sure! Honestly, I feel they're under-appreciated. Thanks for checking out the video!
The GameCube had the best Star Wars games from rouge leader to the Lego Star Wars series and the magnificent mid other Star Wars games it’s sad we never got battlefront for the GameCube I get why we didn’t but I sorta wished we had it for wii
Btw I actually own all the GameCube Star Wars games except for clone wars I’ll see if I can find a copy soon
aside from that nice list may the 4 with u Jedi master
Battlefront on the Wii would’ve been cool though, especially with the aiming controls if done well.
something I really need to say about rogue squadron, I hated the soundtrack, I just wanted star wars music but got really generic and bad adventurey music more often
I never see anyone talk about this so I don't know if I'm alone in this
I personally never minded the soundtrack in Rogue Leader, but I can definitely understand wanting more music from the films in there. 👍
buen video yo los 2 rogue squadron y el clone wars una pena la venganza de los sith no estuviera ni battle front
I love Rogue Squadron but was always jealous PS2 and Xbox got KOTOR and Revenge of the Sith
Rogue Squadron is near perfection for sure! I still need to play the Revenge of the Sith game on PS2, and KOTOR 👍. Thanks for checking out the video!
Bruh man siblings did understand the greatness of rouge one
Want to know THE BEST Star Wars game?!
Well, it is a mod for a milsim called Squad... Galactic Contention!
And ANY Star Wars fan MUST play it! 😉
Never heard of it, but will need to check it out! Thanks for checking out the video!
kinda obsurd the GC didn't get Battlefront, I'm mad disappointed
I agree…it’s a shame neither Battlefront game came to the GameCube. Thanks for checking out the video!
I think u meant to say Sith. Nice video through thanks
I've never understood why anyone likes the Atari Star Wars arcade games. They suck.
I remember seeing them in the arcades as a kid in the 80's. In true Atari style... the cab looked great on the outside but as soon as the game started I knew I'd wasted my money.
Yes the disney films were bad but i liked Rouge one i will defend that one the others are not good IMO
Rogue One was easily the best of the Disney films...but yeah, everything else has mostly been trash lol. Thanks for checking out the video man!
Sequels > Prequels. Disney saved Star Wars.
