I appreciate the walk through of all the colors on the table, a few that are not on the table, and then the notice that color doesn't matter.

At the time, people often referred to these power supplies by their color.
"Yeah, the grey ones are good but stay away from the green ones," and such.
Each distributor seemed to carry their own "brand" of power supply, each a different color.
