It's definitely selfish of her, but I still absolutely adore that her wish fulfilling, alongside the effort she and other members of Columbia like Nasti, Ho'olheyak or Loken Williams put in, resulted in one of the most important historic moments in Terra.

An antagonist is the opponent of the protagonist. Nothing more, and nothing less. It doesn't assign values. It doesn't judge. It's just a role in a story. It's tough to find an example within Arknights, since Hypergryph is one of the few devs/has story writers who know how to write realistic stories with three dimensional characters, cultures, nations and such - meaning there are no villains and no heroes. Just different people fighting for different ideals. So let's take the Joker as an example. If a story is told from his perspective, that makes him the protagonist. Consequently Batman and/or the police would be the antagonist. Even so, this would change nothing about the fact that the Joker is the villain and Batman/the police is the hero. Since Kristen opposes the protagonists of the Lone Trail story, that fact alone makes her the antagonist.

There's also unique gameplay mechanics which makes it a pretty fun open-world game overall. Though, I don't want to play it because I'm already too deep into GI and I don't want to transition or play both at the same time !! 😖

Apart from the heavy motive of Kirsten's departure being recognized, I honestly believe this is one of the most well-produced songs we've had in Arknights. This type of hard-hitting Progressive Rock genuienly makes it to international radios.
Kristen defines a lot of what of us grew up with believing, that exceptional people deserved the freedom to spread their wings, that all the fetters of the background should be backdropped to the discovery of truths and freedoms. Lone Trail also in many ways, showed the reverse of that, the damage that exceptionalist belief could result, that the background were made of characters as well, each with their own beliefs. What a immensely powerful theme here.
Wonderfully summed up. Arknights is, in many ways, a story about great moments in Terra's history. It is incredibly easy to focus on the "pinnacle figures" that become associated with them, but HG do not forget the "common folk," their bonds and how they are impacted by these "great moments."
Someone actually made one for Wallpaper Engine! It has the audio too, which doesn't really loop well, but I just have it off for the wallpaper itself anyway, so I'm glad :D

It’s specifically that the closer her goal to reach the stars was to being achievable, the less she cared about anything else. That she used to care and over time lost interest was the whole problem. The void that left led to Saria leaving, and the power jockeying Ferdinand was doing in Dorothy’s Vision

This song specifically is for the event titled 'Lone Trail' which is fully replayable in the Intermezzo tab on the home screen. You can't access the event limited operators but the story is available to experience and this is one of the best ones we have. You will need to clear the first few chapters of the main story first before you can access events but I think it's only after 1-10 that they become available

To be honest, I am a huge fan of LoneTrail-Event. My favorite character still is Kirsten Wright, but this music doesnt seem to fit (the sound itself, not the theme/lyrics) :< but nice video-animation. Weakest song performance so far, I am sorry..
As someone who loved the thematic Rhine Lab as a whole, I very well disagree. The entry introduces us with chill electric guitar, soothing synth appregiator, laid back drums, subtle horn, it's a mix of everyone's element at Rhine Lab. It start slow, yet as soon as everyone but Kristen is gone, we're introduced to a more marching vibe, and then BAM, it's an explosion of rock hitting hard right at you, and then we saw Kristen alone looking at the black hole while the band shreds hard. And as we're reaching the end, the song became a bit more somber and chill. It's one of the best EP I ever listen to. Sure you might not like rock and all but this is such a great composition, how thematic it is. Almost shed a tear when listening to this jam.
So answer all following people now: Yea the THEME fits, what doesnt fit is the song itself. Its not the lyrics, its the sound itself! If you look back to other arknights character themes compare it with "dormant craving" or "Ständchen".
@@UpdateJM Totally fits, while it's not what you'd expect from a Columbian researcher with no OSHA regulation, the entrypoint and the middle kinda cook it good, very far from the orchestra and blues she associated with, but this sounds like those 2000's punk experimental rock, in exchange of Kristen/Kirsten's deadpan expressionless yet elegant mature-looking body language, we got this big lashing out rock that is so "unlike" her, but it very well fit her as someone who grieves and took matters in her own hand, even if it cost her relationship with everyone else, she's that pissed but also that resolved, this is the artist's way to convey what she really feel inside, while she's still in RL she mixes in with people as the founder, but as soon as everyone's vanishes, even though she's not moving that much, the visual, and especially the music really shows her true nature. You might be right that the music ain't suit her but they pick this genre for a reason, in a way kinda feel nostalging and emotional. I'm not just talking about the song, the lyrics, the thematic, the lore, it's everything, it's such a nice mix of everything, and what a hell of an introduction the song is, even if it's for someone who never played the game (I play for 4 years, don't count me).

To be honest, I am a huge fan of LoneTrail-Event. My favorite character still is Kirsten Wright, but this music doesnt seem to fit (the sound itself, not the theme/lyrics) :< but nice video-animation. Weakest song performance so far, I am sorry..
As someone who loved the thematic Rhine Lab as a whole, I very well disagree.
The entry introduces us with chill electric guitar, soothing synth appregiator, laid back drums, subtle horn, it's a mix of everyone's element at Rhine Lab. It start slow, yet as soon as everyone but Kristen is gone, we're introduced to a more marching vibe, and then BAM, it's an explosion of rock hitting hard right at you, and then we saw Kristen alone looking at the black hole while the band shreds hard. And as we're reaching the end, the song became a bit more somber and chill.
It's one of the best EP I ever listen to. Sure you might not like rock and all but this is such a great composition, how thematic it is. Almost shed a tear when listening to this jam.

If you look back to other arknights character themes compare it with "dormant craving" or "Ständchen".

Totally fits, while it's not what you'd expect from a Columbian researcher with no OSHA regulation, the entrypoint and the middle kinda cook it good, very far from the orchestra and blues she associated with, but this sounds like those 2000's punk experimental rock, in exchange of Kristen/Kirsten's deadpan expressionless yet elegant mature-looking body language, we got this big lashing out rock that is so "unlike" her, but it very well fit her as someone who grieves and took matters in her own hand, even if it cost her relationship with everyone else, she's that pissed but also that resolved, this is the artist's way to convey what she really feel inside, while she's still in RL she mixes in with people as the founder, but as soon as everyone's vanishes, even though she's not moving that much, the visual, and especially the music really shows her true nature. You might be right that the music ain't suit her but they pick this genre for a reason, in a way kinda feel nostalging and emotional. I'm not just talking about the song, the lyrics, the thematic, the lore, it's everything, it's such a nice mix of everything, and what a hell of an introduction the song is, even if it's for someone who never played the game (I play for 4 years, don't count me).
