When Ken was telling the part where he had to sleep on the floor under the chair and woke up because he's getting wet from the rains, my heart really went out for him. But you can see his innate goodness shining thru. Instead of getting frustrated or angry or resentful, he chose to do what's best, that was, to remove the water so he could go on with his chores. He was still grateful to his aunt who provided him shelter during those months.
This interview was the longest Ken ever gave. It hasn't been duplicated and I don't think it will be. His demeanor was very different here. He was a delight during this no-barred interview. Will be forever grateful to Dougbrock Radio that they made this happen. And also to Ken for being so transparent, honest and so lovable. Hahahahaha.
I've watched this a couple of times already, but I always cry in the part where Ken thanked his parents. During his youth, he only met his parents personally twice. One time when he was 5 yrs old and the other time when he was in college. He has no resentment whatsoever that they were not with him growing up. And yet, he grew up to be a God-fearing man, always proud to say that he's a Pastor's kid and grandkid, always grateful and always acknowledges that everything is a blessing from God.
I was waiting for him to cry (hahahahaha) as he was prone to do that during earlier interviews whenever he talks about his family. When he talked about how his grandma passed away without him by her side, and without him being given a chance to return the favor of being able to help them financially, he cried in the middle of the interview and said he still hasn't moved on. He is such a softy.
“I’ll die as an SB19 member. Mahal ko ang group ko. Mahal ko ang brothers ko. (I love my group. I love my BROTHERS).” Tell me that didn’t get you! I know I loved him and them more at that moment. That bond is real.
Ken is very soft when it comes to his dad. He really looked like his dad, a splitting image. I got a pic of them side by side. And his sister looked like their mom. One time when he went home to the province, he chose to ride a tricycle with his dad even though the travel was far and hot. He didn't mind it just to have a longer bonding time together.
I really admire Ken for this
SB19 is the only group I know who really shows how grateful they are to their fandom and the only one who made a song (or two) for us. They are really inclusive and very vocal to say they love their fans.
He's very honest.. an artist who respects other artists, a man of faith, not ashamed of his living testimony and where this was all began, loving the people who never leave him and always supports him no matter what happens, a very brave man!! Felip/Ken is so honest and I feel that he is truly a wonderful individual
Ken had difficulty in explaining what his music was. COMPLEX is really the best explanation to that and I think for now he is still experimenting and trying to find his color.
The best thing about Felip is he can do it all, rock, hiphop,rnb , metal. So I don't think that for now he can easily define his music.

Ken was the last to be included in the group and he trained for a few months with them before the debut. Pablo, Stell, Josh and Justin has been training since 2016.
Something that makes him stand out is how genuine he is and how he really wears his heart out on his sleeve… really unapologetically expresses his dualities (like in personality- babie and badass, and in many other aspects he shows paradox traits). And that’s how humans are- complex and not just 1 sided. So witnessing his duality just makes him extremely human and relatable. You can see him as a whole person, and naturally it’s easy to love someone you see as a whole person.
Every story of every member is one of the many reasons why true A’tins love them soooo much. 💕🥰
He deserve all the love
Maybe Ken didn't mentioned his grandparents, both already deceased, because everytime he talked about them, he cracked up and cried. They were his soft spots. He lost them at the time SB19 is starting to be known locally and internationally. He wanted to give all the things that his grandparents never had, all the luxury in life, now that he is starting to have financial freedom but unfortunately they died already.
Other artists will not talk about their humble past. Even kpop are coached what's allowed to say or not. But not SB19. They're true people... no filter po. We appreciate their honesty especially KEN. He said in previous interviews & showbreaks he never tell a lie. The lie-detector segment proved this. He made perfect answers to all the questions. This is perfectly credited to his parents/grandparents pastors who molded this man. Godblesspo.
Ken's fans, also known as "sisiw," are incredibly gentle and caring towards him. There are times when they can sense that something is off just by observing his expressions or listening to how he talks. It's as if they already know him so well. During this period, he is releasing his songs, but some non-fans are accusing him of using SB19 as a stepping stone. However, he has always maintained that he is a part of SB19 forever.
I think Ken is a baby with his brothers/members but Felip is the arrogant looking swagger rocker and hip hop persona😊
That's Ken/Felip - shy or hesitant but honest to the core, always respectful and true, as a person, a friend, a colleague, an artist. Much love and respect to him. This was by far the most relaxed atmosphere he needed for an interview. Kudos again to Dougbrock TV for this wonderful and insightful conversation with our man Ken/Felip.❤
I think what Doughbrock had was an easy time frame not much pressure. He asked a question and let him tell the story. You can see he is a fan sound sincere thet Felip open up to a certain level. The interview and Ken's story was very engaging. Honest opinion, personal stories and life lessons he learned along the way is truly inspiring. When he talks with that soft voice it's like music makes you want to listen more.
I can definitely watch it over and over again and get emotional as if it's the first time....

One thing I love about Ken is his straight forward character, He says what he feels and what he thinks. Remember he did not fail the lie detector test? So that is what he is!

After SB19 blew up-she got a lot of followers, received gratitude from A’TIN and SB19 themselves but up to this day-she has not shown herself in public. Never granted one interview, not one photo with SB19. Which is so, so unlike a Filipino! 😆 We’re not shy about grabbing credits, being interviewed by media for anything good we did 😂. But Lyra (that’s her name)-she is a mystery.

14:52 Hurraira, that is also my dream for Esbi! I mean, Ken and JC’s contrib in Crimzone is for lyrics. But I really wish for a real collab-Ken and Pablo. Pablo and Jah. Of the 5, these guys are the ones most skilled in piano/guitar. Of course, JC already composed songs but mostly with his cousin Ocho, The Bullet. And Stell, though he hasn’t previewed anything he might just have a song or two already. I mean, can you imagine what songs they’ll come up with..with all that creativity in a blender? 🤯My ult dream is for them to transition into a real band, onstage playing live instruments ❤️🔥
I am currently a nurse here in the US.. Twenty years ago, when I was in the Philippines, I was offered a job to work here in the US so I came. I still remember that I only had $120 with me although I know that I have a job waiting for me , I came with hope and excitement and cannot wait to see what my future holds. Listening to this reminds me of that time.

Oh, my goodness! Ken has a weakness for branded things, especially shoes. He has Versace, Balenciaga, Jimmy Choo, YSL. He could easily spend thousands of dollars on them. And jewelries, too. It's a good thing he is being reminded to curb his enthusiasm, and he listens as well.
Oh my ken is capricorn??? Hahaha this added to my list why he is my bias. He seems mysterious to me , and I am capricorn , I can relate to him in some other aspects😂

Rocksta was released ahead, but was included in the Complex EP. I can honestly say that the songs in the EP were not the type of music that I listen to. They still hasn't grown on me. I was surprised by Drink Smoke, knowing that Felip doesn't drink (he has allergies to alcohol) or smoke. And it's a contradiction. Hahahahaha. One moment, he was singing it, next moment, he will say don't do it, it's bad, it's bad. Hahahahahaa. But hey, still a supportive fan here. Whatever makes him happy.

I think that's the thing of Introvert. I am a home person don't like going out. Home then School only. I already finished watching or reading Manhuas,Manhwa and Mangga with the certain genre I like. So I feel very boring when I couldn't find any interesting to read or to watch cause that's the only my rest. Idk if Ken is like me but I don't like changes. For example I read Mystery Genre, I only stick at Mystery Genre and I don't want to change.Another example bakeries or Food, If I find their dish/bread suit my taste I will comeback everyday to buy that certain food I like. The reincarnate and reborn thing was really 'Me'

He has started writing for sb19. If you check the credits of Crimzone, he is credited there as Felip and Josh as Josh Cullen. So when they perform Crimzone, he performs as Felip not Ken.
Josh i think released a video telling more details about his life struggle wc made me appreciate him more as a person .but i think he hid the said video from public voew already..however some were sble to watch from the rv of one reactor...
He was asked if he is ok in this interview... it was around this time that he created MV, released new songs, and SB19 was so quiet. Nothing substantial coming out of sb19. Fans were kinda worried, anxious and missing the boys like crazy..i can attest. I was having sort of withdrawal. Lol! The only house that stayed entertained are the Poultry and BBQ Grill House (if you know what i mean). Pablo is hotdog Freezer house, Stell is Stellberry Farm, Justin is Cornfield. Josh is Grill house and Ken is Poultry coup. People are asking everywhere if Felip is planning to go solo and if the group is breaking up. Lol! I think there was also something going on Felip in regards to SHOWBT. Im suspecting it was his contract with ShowBT, or maybe not. Lol! Nevermind me.. im talking nonsense. Haha!

Thanks for putting this out in one go! I’ve watched this many times with other reactors and it still get me teary eyed. Thank you Hurraira for delving more on Felip/Ken’s background. This was really his best interview. He was so relax (shoutout to Dougbrock) to opened up a lot & told us Sisiws & A’TIN things we don’t know. During their early years 2019-2020 one of the many issues/bashings he got were being late & “tulala or looks out of it/silent during interviews. So here he made it known what’s the real reason, “he didn’t get enough rest & sleep due to raining situation at home.” 🥹😍 He’s my bias and this made me his Sisiw through & through. 🐣🐔
