- Join me as I walk around Old San Juan and the famous Castillo San Felipe Del Morro, a 16th Century Citadel built by the Spanish. I tell the story of how I arrived to this Beautiful island sailing 1200+ miles from Marathon, Florida. This Sail journey began in the islands around Key West through the old Bahama Channel along the coast of Cuba, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic to finally arrive in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico after 28 days.

Why was El Morro built in Puerto Rico (Borikén?
The fortification, also referred to as el Morro or 'the promontory,' was designed to guard the entrance to the San Juan Bay, and defend the Spanish colonial port city of San Juan from seaborne enemies.

Puerto Ricans (Boricuas) are Americans too first because the island is located in Central
America and secondly because Puerto Rico (Borikén) where my mother was born is a United States territory since the year 1898 and since the year 1917 Puerto Ricans (Boricuas) people are United States Citizens since that time Puerto Rico (Borikén) giving the lives of their soldiers to fight with the United States soldiers against the enemies defending our democracy. I don't like wars anyway.
AMERICANS IS EVERYONE WHO BORN IN THE AMERICA CONTINENT NORTH AMERICANS, CENTRAL AMERICANS WHERE THE ISLAND OF BORIKÉN TODAY PUERTO RICO USA TERRITORY SINCE 1898 IS ALSO LOCATED IN CENTRAL AMERICAN AND SOUTH AMERICANS.
