Love it! The superstars of their instruments. Of course, they practice because that is what professionals do. However, the complexity they bring to their game is phenomenal.
This level of pure talent is rare and will propel the Bluegrass spaceship into the future with a whole new legion of fans that cannot help but be blown away as are longtime fans.

@beastinthesky6774 Thanks for the setlist. Summer of 2022 I saw Bela, Sam Jerry and Bryan with four different immensely talented musicians. I have a paper setlist from the stage at that show. Completely different than this show six months earlier.
This music and these musicians are over most listeners head they don't realize the talent these player's have, they are the best in the world at what they do.
@@michaelcollums4197 The players are absolutely the best in their styles. But so much good music is pushed in the corner by the power of the music industry, where mainly money rules. Of course, the industry has stimulated the production of good music too, but merely produced a tsunami of commercial junk, pushing the rest out of sight. I owe 50 old tube radio's, being nostalgic about what once could be heared on those. Try that now.. 😞
Saw Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush Edgar Meyer and Bela Fleck onstage together - "Strength In Numbers" - at Telluride in 1990 - 33 yrs ago - when none of them were even 30 yrs old, yet.. Mark O'Connor was with them, then. And now - here they are - grey & white hair - still friends, still playing together. And they've added Brian Sutton and Stuart Duncan. Brilliant playing . . .
Amazing video, wow! Wish I could have seen this live. Here's all of Edgar's solos for you fellow double bassists out there (mostly for me though haha) 10:42 19:30 26:12 38:42 47:12 55:54 1:24:58 1:34:14 1:43:23 1:51:20 2:04:50 2:11:25 2:24:50 2:32:19
The only problem with attending a Béla Fleck and the Flectones concert is that after your first one you will Know you won't be able to talk or applaud after the 4th or 5th song! All you have left is to stand up and slam your seat down repeatedly .
I’ve attended several “Flecktones” concerts, but years ago when I was well into adulthood, Béla autographed Flecktones t-shirt for me. Nothing intelligent came to mind and I said something inane like me “starting to play banjo was his fault.” I would like to have a second try at talking to him!
YOO MON this is the stuff, the real deal. Remember seeing most of these guys in the 70s and 80s and into the 90s. Louisville, Ky was home base for New Grass for a bunch of years. You could catch them at some of the local clubs before performances at The Lonesome Pine Specials. Most of the members of this gang were present. Caught Bela and the Brothers the night before their premier at the Special.
Béla's still touring with it, off and on, with various configurations of musicians from the album. Check his website--you might be lucky enough to be near a show.

So this is where all the music went.

It's not bluegrass. It's newgrass (said with a wink and a smile)
however this is not bluegrass
it is something new like new grass
or modern folk or what is it?
@beastinthesky6774 Thanks for the setlist. Summer of 2022 I saw Bela, Sam Jerry and Bryan with four different immensely talented musicians. I have a paper setlist from the stage at that show. Completely different than this show six months earlier.
This is incredible! Cheers
Absolute top quality, and just 17.000 views. I often see that. Anyone any philosophy on that?

If it's not played over and over, not hyped, well then, it's just not "real" music. People today don't value variety.

All this bluegrass greatness in one place! You can’t beat it! ❤
This was phenomenal - my only gripe was that Sam's mando was low in the mix, even for his solos.

Meyer's technique is sublime. His playing just looks effortless. Pure, fluid expression.

Exquisite!!! Thanks for sharing ✌👋
Edgar Meyer, you blow me away!
Up on the hill where they do the boogie. Love John Hartford.
This is classical music. Incredible musical knowledge there!

Remember kiddies.... pull up Lonesome Pine Specials. There are hours and hours available on RUclips.
These musicians fill up the tank every time… I’m good for three more months. Thx to each & all of you, players & listeners
Only one missing is Chris Thile
this is the old guard-see Punch brothers for the new lions. Actually the only one missing is Mark O'Conner
@@kellmerWF52 I'm well aware of the Punch Brothers.
I'm also glad to see Chris back with his first band
Where can one get Bluegrass Tuner in the shape of a heart?

Sadly, been sold out every time I've been on the site😢
