RBI Post Monetary Policy Presser | Still A Distance To Cover To Align Inflation To 4% Target: RBI

Addressing the RBI Post Monetary Policy press conference, Governor Shaktikanta Das stated that domestic economic growth is resilient, but significant progress is needed to align inflation with the 4% target. He added that while inflation is moderating, the pace of disinflation remains uneven and slow.
The Governor commented that while US unemployment data has sparked some speculation, other economic indicators remain strong. He also advised against drawing conclusions based on a single month's data. He stressed that while India has enhanced its resilience to external shocks, it is crucial to wait for more data before drawing conclusions. He also noted that India is now significantly more resilient compared to earlier periods.
