I love watching Korean historical drama and this Jang Ok Jung is the saddest and horrible drama I've ever watched. This must be a great story till the end but the Writer made it horrible. The King Lee Soon is good and wise when he decided Jang Ok Jung he's beloved wife to be with someone just to escape her death. But in the end Jang Ok Jung decided to be back in the Palace and put her life to death just to save the King and her son the crowned prince. OMG! This Korean historical drama must be at least good in the end especially Kim Tae Hee is the leading actress. I've seen a lot of historical drama like The Moon Embracing the Sun, Love in the Moonlight, Flower in Prison, The Grand Prince, Flower Crew, Joseon Dating Agency, Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung and Queen Love and War. All of these dramas have love, hatred, war and jealousy but in the end it ended nicely with their love ones. I'm just hoping that all writers of Korean historical drama must feel the likes of the viewers and they must know in the end that Love will prevails.
It kinda sucks. Now that I have watched Yoo Ah In's acting, my standard for male acting has been raised. P.s: I still can't go further than ep 19, I'm scared. I heard that he loves someone else and gives her death for her crime. Sorry for spoiling. Actually can't say that it's a spoil becuz I haven't watched it yet. Think about it, Yoo Ah In's dramas rarely have a happy ending (with love story), right? Fashion King, Jang Ok Jung, Six Dragon Flying. Oh, Chicago Typewrite has. I have no intention to watch Secret Love Affair, not into the theme
Ok Jung actually died because of the death penalty with poison. But after her death, Sukjong abolished the law Concubine may have been consort since then. Which finally made Jang Ok Jung the only concubine who ascended the throne to become the empress ... proof of love from the great King Sukjong for his love, Jang Ok Jung.
