THIS IS EXCELLENT! BRAVO TO 3M FOR MAKING THESE AND ESPECIALLY THE PERMANENT MARKER DRY ERASE SHEETS AS WELL! WE'RE BUYING NEW HOME THIS YEAR AND I PLAN ON USING ONE OF THE ROOMS AS AN OFFICE AND TRANSFORMING PRETTY MUCH AN ENTIRE WALL INTO A DRY ERASE...WALL! THANKS ED! I'M GLAD I FOUND YOU BROTHER!
You're welcome and good luck with the purchase of your new home! You'll love the Post-it Dry Erase Surface...it's what I have in my office as well. Thanks for watching!
and you can teach yourself to write upside down so the kids can read what you're writing. I love this idea. I didn't even know about that product. I'm curious if I can attach it to the back of a door. I can't hang anything in this house. the walls are like concrete and command strips do not work. Thank you for sharing, I love the art work on the back wall.
Glad you like the concept! Yes, you can definitely adhere the dry erase surface to a door as long as it’s relatively smooth and flat. Let me know how it goes if you decide to get one!
Lisa Thanks! Yes, you can absolutely put this on your wall. Just make sure that the wall is clean (I usually wipe the wall with a cloth moistened with alcohol, or a cleaning wipe and wait about 15min for it to dry) and you can apply the Dry Erase Surface directly to the wall. It’s also fun to put this on a door or cabinets as well. Glad you enjoyed the video! 😊
I want to put it on a plastic table top that has a very slight texture. Will it stick? I put clear contact paper on it as a stop gap and it seems to stick.
Yes, I think it'll stick as gravity will be working for you and the surface likely won't peel off. If it does start peeling at the edge, some clear duct tape may help keep things in place. Let me know how it goes!
Question: Would it be better to have the edges go all the way to the underside of the table so the kids don't peel up the sides with their fingernails? They don't do it on purpose , it's a nervous type habit that happens EVERY time I put whiteboard circles on my table. :)
I don't think the material is flexible enough to bend around the edge of the table, although that would have been an excellent idea. One method that I've seen is teachers taping down the edge (you can use a colorful tape to make the table look interesting). Other than that, the other way would be to have someone custom fabricate an edging, but I'm sure that's not feasible for many schools. Thanks for your question and please let me know if you come across any other creative solutions!
Good question…the Post-it Dry Erase surface is safe on hard surfaces and will not leave any residue behind. It’s essentially like a giant Post-it Note. Thanks for the question!
My elementary school had these in class and the kids would peel up the corners. One desk got so sharp it started scraping kids, so they had to remove the whiteboard tables from the classrooms. They were greatly missed.
Hannah Louise yes, I’ve seen kids pick away at the edges. Kids seem to love picking at things! One of the solutions was to tape the edges, but I’m sure there’s a better solution. Not sure what, but it’s something that I’ll be thinking about for sure. Thanks for watching and for your comment!

Make sure to use cleaner for whiteboards when cleaning. If you use other cleaners you may ruin the coating.

After using it, will the finish of the table be damaged?

Does that come in colours to just decorate a table
Fox Fur cool idea, but it only comes in the one color. Thanks for watching! 😊
How do you take it off at the end of the year if you may not come back?
@@leegrogan2409 it would unfortunately be a one-time application, however the next teacher would sure benefit from it 😊
The smarter we’re becoming the more lazy we’re being xd also great Idea!!
7:07 “Ed, can you hurry it up please? I need to grade some papers. Forget it, I’m just gonna work right now!”
I want to add background color to these boards how can I do that ?
You can probably achieve a background on the surface by using a UV printer which some print companies offer. Let me know how it goes!
