- SC ST Reservation: Samajwadi Party MP Dharmendra Yadav praised the Supreme Court's decision to allow sub-classification within reserved classes of SC/STs. "The leaders of the Samajwadi Party have been demanding this since the 1960s. By approving this, the Supreme Court has proved that this demand of the Samajwadi Party was justified," Dharmendra Yadav stated. Dharmendra Yadav urged the government to now "bring a change in its policy and intention" following the court's order.

This year 2024....32 / 932 (approx 5%) who cleared UPSC are from single Meena community...due to ST reservation, they have infiltrated in every government organisation....BTW they are well to do, rich & landowners and do not posses any ST community features....now tell me out of 7.5% ST reservation, this single community have eaten up 5% seats....is it not injustice to other ST communities?

No political parties would have done it. ST/SC creamy layer is needed because in a family of 5, if all the 5 members have Grade A government jobs. there is no point of giving reservation benefits to their sons and daughters. The seats and jobs can go to deserving sc/st candidates who are really backward and need Indian collective help.

It's fair that the creamy layer among the SCs and STs should be outside the ambit of reservation. ALSO, it's time to bring the creamy layer among the STs within the ambit of income tax. For how long will they be totally exempted from paying income tax?? It's time to think and debate seriously on this matter....
