The hardest thing with using this with gyrfalcons is ironically that it kills too good, lol. It's a bit finicky with procing stylish because it one shots so many ads, thus not giving you the volatile kill all the time. It still does, but not consistently for some reason
Void hunter gyrfalcons/choir: Deadfall, marksmans, scatter grenade (it usually gets a kill which gives an orb, use what you pref). Stylish/vanishing. Starvation, vigilance, obscurity, persistence. Void siphon, kinetic siphon, SAF. Void loader, firepower, impact induction. Void reserves x2, charged up. Void scavenger, stacks on stacks, innervation. Bomber, reaper, special finisher. Get a grenade kill to get an orb to get devour. Now continue killing everything with choir. Throw a dodge in there for a reload and invis to proc volatile rounds if you need to kill everything now. Boss phase? No problem. Shoot teather, hip fire, dodge reload, hip fire more! Now with volatile! When you get low on the 350 rounds you have, (in control setting, change finisher to double tap reload. Makes it so much easier) execute someone and get 100 rounds per green brick it seems. Only run a couple vex things for failsafe and its doing alright so far. I think Bungie painted themselves into a corner making primary weapons have unlimited ammo. That means they could never buff them past a certain point, and reverting that change would NOT go over well no matter how much of a buff they got alongside it. So by making a special weapon version, they can buff them as much as they want without having to worry about unlimited ammo holding them back for boss fights. It also is a shortcut for making new weapon types in future releases. Imagine a special ammo bow somewhere between Wishender and Levi Breath. But I don't think they can do this for all primaries, a special scout would basically be a sniper rifle with no scope. And with full auto being built into everything now isn't an auto just a faster firing scout rifle anyway, besides those 120 scouts.
It's crazy that we had been building this weapon since echos started. One of our quests was picking up a vex weapon a few weeks ago. Now it all comes together

The projectile gimmick should be intended bc that’s how the wyverns shots actually work. You’ll notice that up close wyverns will absolutely melt you but at a bit of range after the shots split it’s not nearly as much damage. I doubt they’ll change it.

Charged Up, Stacks on Stacks, Special Ammo Finisher. Run Choir of One with double special and spam finishers as you build armor charges! Use a machine gun to chip damage a combatant to finishing state.
Now I can do three hazardous propulsion builds, still hunt, cloud strike, and now choir of one each with a matching rocket launcher. I also want to try sweet business with the new artifact mods in a gm.
I don't know if onslaught is going to be as good as people think, obviously the artefact mod will help when we give up subsistence, but the hoops you're going to be jumping through make it less attractive compared to knowing you have the support of subsistence especially once the artefact mod is gone. Don't get me wrong it's a monster regardless and the best scout rifle in the game (see what I did there?) but it will be fun finding out how it does perform if you can make onslaught work consistently.
The only perk I will be looking for is onslaught since the artifact already gives us substincence, plus pair it with actium war rig, and you basically have infinite ammo for it. Destabilizing rounds eh not worth it since there is an aspect that does it when you get a grenade kill. Causing all of your void energy weapons to get destabilizing rounds.
Hopefully this weapon doesn't get nerfed too hard. The alt fire (wyvern shots) deal a bit too much damage atm, hopefully the nerf (to only the alt fire) is limited to 20-30%, and everything else is left alone.

If i had a nickle for everytime we had a vex themed exotic mission where a y1 vendor assists us, that rewards a craftable void special weapon that shoots like a wyvern. Id have 2 nickles, which isnt a lot but its wierd that it happened twice
Ive done the whole quest line got catalysts and everything but cant figure out how to apply it change them. Its greyed out when I go to that reaork bench. And nobody shows it in a video
Actium is currently useless on this due to the artifact perk. Aim down is best for clearing ads and killing them even on GM's basically results in never reloading and it doesn't help with the hip fire. It'd only come in handy if you decide to aim down sights a bigger target IF they'd take longer than the 25 shots it has. For hipfire it doesn't help.
I’ve went back to a gyrfalcon build because of this gun. Also I hope they don’t nerf it and keep giving us these “combo” type of weapons. They are fun. Edit: has anyone tried this with Crota?

They need to make Actium proc reload based perks so it can trigger Destabilizing Rounds, etc.
Destabilizing rounds is kill activated, just has an internal cooldown so you've been fine the whole time
People already forgot about Cerberus plus 1 😢😭 I loved that thing so much. Then I come back to find out bungo decided to nerf it into dust just to reveal a void version of it.
Side note: the amount of “blow your load” references is just….it was a lot 😂
I think sky burners oath should be redesigned into a special of the same archetype
how do i get the volatile perk?///i just got the catalyst (the first part) ..i cant select the volatile perk though
i would like to see a damage / dps comparisson with Euphony in the best warlock build for it, compared to this choir of one with best build for it, compared to still hunt nighthawk build. :)
I don't treat this gun as an auto rifle. I use it as a shotgun, fusion rifle and scout rifle. This thing is extremly good and very hard to put down. Great job bungie, just please for the love of God don't nerf it please.
Was using this with actium and was able to continuously fire it without reloading but at a slower fire rate.
Waiting for the builds 😀
Choir of one is cerberus+1 from my perspective.
Actium warrig + this? Hipfiring last round for better round economy for close range?
Actium is currently useless on this due to the artifact perk. Aim down is best for clearing ads and killing them even on GM's basically results in never reloading and it doesn't help with the hip fire. It'd only come in handy if you decide to aim down sights a bigger target IF they'd take longer than the 25 shots it has. For hipfire it doesn't help.
Could you share the Build you were using?
I’ve went back to a gyrfalcon build because of this gun. Also I hope they don’t nerf it and keep giving us these “combo” type of weapons. They are fun.
Edit: has anyone tried this with Crota?
How is he doing Devil's Lair? Europa is the NF
we can change the GM this week but once we finish it then someone else has to host the GM
