- I was born a Kansas City Chiefs fan. Growing up with family that all originated from KC taught me not just midwestern values, but also what it means to truly stick by your team. From falling inches short, to failure, and to tragedy, the Chiefs Kingdom has endured it all. And in many ways I feel not just my life, but the life of any Chiefs fan may mirror that. Like life itself, we keep on goin' and never quit. And God be blessed above, 50 years later we are back at the Super Bowl...America's game! This has been a whirlwind couple of weeks, but I wanted to create this video to memorialize the moment, if even just for a few minutes longer. I'm confident we won't have to wait 50 years again, but you never know. My Uncle Danny and Aunt Bonnie Dietz both have passed away over the past few years. They were THE greatest and most passionate Chiefs fans I knew. I wish so much that they could be here with us, but I do truly believe they're with this team in spirit on the field and in the game -- which as any Chiefs fan would know, is heaven. This video is for them. For any members of the Kingdom we've lost over the years. And to all of us who are still here, to remember and more importantly -- BELIEVE. Remember and believe that our team CAN do it. They are here for us just like we're here for them. And I couldn't be more excited for Sunday. If you read this far, thank you, God bless you. Get ready for more history to be made, Chiefs Kingdom. I'm already getting chills typing this out: we are going back to the SUPER BOWL! Super Bowl 57 against the Philadelphia Eagles -- Kelce vs Kelce, Andy Reid vs his old career stomping grounds, our legendary Chiefs Defensive Line vs that iconic Eagles O-Line, and Mahomes vs Hurts. The Chiefs end the season, where it began. The outcome? Still a mystery. We are in for a treat, KC. This is a glorious era for Kansas City football. As Chris Jones said in this video, we gotta make this count, because "these are moments we can't get back". We as Chiefs Kingdom know with our hearts and souls how rare and valuable this era is. No matter what happens, we will never stop believing in this team. I LOVE YA, KC. 2 more Sundays left...
Tears! Thank you for this. Just thinking of all the years my late dad and sister cheered on the Chiefs only to see them come up short. No doubt they are cheering in heaven.
Chiefs fan from the near future. They did it. They won. It was a nail-biter like always, but they pulled it off. Thank you for this.
It's incredible. I can't believe this moment is really happening, either. The Chiefs WON the Super Bowl 50 years later, on their 60th season, and the 100th Anniversary of the NFL. If anybody says magic doesn't exist in real life, just tell 'em that. And that with under 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter, we came from behind 10, to ahead by 11. Man, great job with this, just love it. And there's my 101 yo Grandma Melba at the 2:41 mark! That was her first game ever at this season's home opener Week 3, vs the Ravens, where she was honored during the pregame events. After watching that it was a priority of mine to include her in this video because of the years of positive energy/enthusiasm she's gifted the Chiefs with. This was the best season of my life. My dad was a diehard fan, but lived through the teams of the 70's & 80's & 90's. He once saw Len Dawson at Arrowhead and got an autograph. I still have it on a silly little piece of note paper. He would LOVE Patrick Mahomes & Travis Kelce & what these players have brought to Kansas City the past few years. LIV was awesome, LV sucked. Looking forward to LVI.

Thank you so much for sharing you and your Dad's story on here. I'm always touched by how deeply the Chiefs impact their fans and their lives. My uncle and your Dad would've gotten along real well. He was big into the 70s-90s eras as well before he passed. Had to love those Montana years! But I'm with you -- nothing will beat this LIV run. We were blessed to witness it. Here's hoping for another championship run in the 2022-'23 season!
