great looking containers! A little hint, I learned the other day. If you cut the corrugated cardboard from the backside, you don't squish the corrugation
I think you did a great job Jay! I especially like the rust effects and the lettering. I have seen containers in all sorts of conditions from new to quite rusty so yours look very realistic. Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks, I didn't go with anything crazy, it legit is just a little bit of brown stippled, and a little bit of a dark brown silver stippled in place. I wanted gritty but not like completely ruined. My pleasure as always.
I’ve made a few of these as well, and just like you I was surprised how long the edge-strips took me. By far the most tedious part. Your idea to have a single continuous piece probably ends up looking better than mine. So even if it took a bit longer, if it’s gonna be tedious anyway, might as well do it your way and get the best effect!
Yeah, I just found it took me longer than you'd think for something so relatievely simple. I think as you say it's the detailing, the door and the strips. I hit that classic point of getting annoyed with them and just wanted to finish them! Thanks for watching :)
Top notch, Jay. I made these last summer using my wife's essential oils boxes. I essentially did everything that you showed in the video! My stenciled letters came out frosty, too. Oh well. Thanks for the inspiration. Cheers, --Bo
The template for the edge-strips is good - I don't know is it has been mentioned earlier, but I would suggest scoring and folding the card _before_ cutting out. If you cut first, it is a nightmare to fold thin strips of card. Some of these are definitely on my *To-do* list.
These looks great with the marines. Think they look thematically bad in legion though so not one I'll give a go. Good job with the painting the rust lettering and wash really brought out the best of them they look fantastic together :)
Hey, yeah I sort of agree wit Legion, it's not like sci fi enough for it. I was tempted to do like an x sci fi design but I might do more in the future like that.
great looking containers!

Hey, thanks, this is mind blowing, I will have to try it.

I think the frosting is unavoidable with the coregated card but not a big issue if you know if it's going to happen :-)
They look great. Going to try making my own today.
Thanks and good luck :)
They’re brilliant 😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you very much :)
Nice work. I’ll be trying this out mate.

You know, I realised that afterwards and I have no idea why I didn't do it! Thanks and good luck if you do them :)

Thank you very much. They are a classic, I think they look good in manner locations, so worth doing. At some point I might make more sci fic versions!
