All my phones ive ever owned are in great condition. Longstory short take care of your devices and they will last.
THIS
@@freeleymedia 100%. That goes for Samsung, Apple, HTC (back in the day of the one M7). I’ve never cracked a screen. And get this, never had a charging cable break, from any brand
cant relate at all lol
I'm not sure about great condition but my phone is still ok after 3-4 years.. jerryrig fans would definitely disagree as they prioritize durability over anything 😅
Same for me. I had the galaxy S8 almost 6 years and I never put screen protection to it and it was phenomenal. It didn't have a single scratch or anything and it fell down several times
For the screen protector, they should have 2 separate screen protection pieces!
Makes since
smart idea
That doesn’t make sense, there’d be a cut/gap on the screen all the time
@@extra4542 yes.. it would eliminate the concerning sound of the screen protector and would probably be cheaper since its 2 smaller pieces and they don’t need to fold as well though
@@PleaseDontMindmyDisplayName It wouldnt work since if theres is a 2 part screen protector the gap where the crease is at would be bothersome. Imagine scrolling everytime and feeling the 2 piece screen protector. I think its a bad move
You have to change protection film immediately! I had that problem too, waited too long and screen cracked.😅
MINE TO IT CRACKED
@@balkanjoker8754got now flip 4 and same problem with protection film ;)
It is the 2nd time in 1 year I have to change it. Basically once every 6 months.
Samsung needs a lawsuit on this shit
Show picture of the cracked screen it's plastic I don't think it even cracks
Be careful! My fold4 was exactly the same but the bubbles actually damaged the screen from me constantly trying to push the air out.
The screenprotector acts as structural support for the display. Eventually it can cause the screen to fail if its not replaced.
I've used tempers glass my whole life. But for this guess you can't
So the bubbles didn't damage the screen, you damaged the screen.
Same
@@tonystark559 Yeah disappointingly all the high end Samsung phones (Ultra, Flip, Fold) don't work with tempered glass. For the Flip and Fold for obvious reasons. For the Ultra it's because the screen is unnecessarily curved, and their fingerprint sensor shits the bed. I have an old OnePlus 6T that works perfect with tempered glass, so it's really annoying to see how Samsung designs their phones.
I have the same one. Don't even have a case. It's in perfect condition.
ppl who take care of their phone gang! lol
Your gonna break it ☠️
@@freeleymedia I have a z flip 4 with a Case and ive dropped it atleast 40 times over the past Year, the case is comlpletely wrecked but the phone is in perfect condition! When its folded its so robust its insane :DDD

Did it have case and protector?
@sallysmith8678 nope no case lol it's the flip 3 made of hard aluminum the new ones are sus cause they made the outers out of glass witch sucks or I probably would have gotten the flip 5, still using my 3 tho.
@@killaevo that's awesome
I would've replied with "same", but last week I dropped my Z Flip 3 for like the 12th time overall and the screen broke, making it practically unusable.
Needless to say, I have an S24 Ultra now 🙃
liar
Best get that replacement sooner than later, cause that bubbling is the death bell for the folding displays.
I can confirm this, unfortunately
Yup, same thing happened to mine. It must use the screen protector to actually protect the it instead of glass. Mine failed within days.
If the screen protector starts to separate then dust can get beneath and put uneven pressure on the display! it should be replaced as soon as possible
Yup
Exactly, as soon as mine started bubbling and making noise, I had 1 month before it cracked.
I bought a USED fold 2 with a tiny crack on the back camera glass (only visual damage, none to the rest of the phone) in early 2021, and I have dropped it only twice. Almost 4 years later, and it has JUST started to get a little crack along the center where the crease is. Keep in mind, it was USED when I bought it. Screen still works fine, just a little crack.
My mum also has a samsung z flip3 and she had a same problem as u were (screen protector bubble issue). She went to samsung care service and got it fix (they replace it with a new screen protector) glad she still had her phone in warranty that time and got it for free. She's still in love with her z flip3 until now ❤
Same here bro. But she didnt fix it yet 😅
@@golamsadid it's probably not a major issue, just that it's a bit of annoying to hear the sound of screen protector while fold and unfold phone.
The warranty to change the screen protector should be for life, imo. They never told customers this was going to happen no matter what you did to avoid it.
@@paucalderon8326 ong and then the screen starts to crack after a bit its fucking stupid
How much did she pay for fix?
I got a Z Flip 4 around Black Friday 2022, and I love this thing. I was tired of phones getting bigger and not fitting in my pocket. The only issue i have ever had was that damn screen protector. I took it to UbreakIfix under warranty.
Now its like you have 2 wallets
@@DecentPlutonium I don't put my phone in my back pocket, so...
flip 4 users here, Samsung actually gave 3 times free screen protectors replacement in my place. i used 1 before after 6 months, now waiting for it to peel off and use the voucher again :)
I have the Z Flip 4 and the top layer of the screen (the protector) loosened just like yours! After a few more days It loosened even more and I removed the top layer with no issues!
any update ? if you remove it the screen works fine?
@@marwachoudhary1254 Still works perfectly fine! Well except for the fact that it fell down....a few times and always on the whinch! So now it got a black dot on the right side in the middle and it only opens up to 95%!
Everybody were worry about the mechanics of folding (flipping) that it's will not survive even the first or 6 months, but it still works pretty well, and also it's whater resistant.
In my experience, as long as you treat it with a little more care than a regular smartphone you shouldn't have any problems with the hinge. I'm coming on 2 years with the z flip 3 and no issues with the hinge thus far. Battery life is annoying how short it is though.
I use a flip 3 as a work phone. I do heavy industry metal work, so it's constantly in a dangerous dirty and dusty environment and it's holding up great. The fact, that you can close it actually helps protect the screen way better than my private phone (which had scratches and minor chips in the screen after just a week of work.
Yess I 100% agree. I have had the z flip 3 for a year as well, and it's still in amazing condition. My screen protector is also doing that as well
Big fan of Samsung ❤. Still using the A20s ✋😭, can't afford these new ones, I think they will forever belong to my wishlist 😂. Z Fold 4, watch out because I'll be using you in 2095 😂❤.
Been using my Flip 4 for a month now. And I'm lovin' it especially the pocketability 🎉
Bought mine USED and I've had it just about 1 yr now. Still going strong. Taken it all over; waterfall hiking, beach dunes, wave running, etc. and havent had issues with debris intereferring with the hinge. I like it :)
I've also dropped it a handful of times on concrete. No issues. I did replace the screen protector when I bought it though.
I reaaaally like it and i want to get one too, but i see tooo many negative comments, i am CONFUSED, otherwise did you change your screen protector just one time or constantly?
My screen protector started peeling months into owning the phone, and now cracks are appearing in the center at the fold. You can baby this phone all you want and it will still break and fall apart
I had a z fold 3 the inner display went black 😢
same thing happened to mine. The technology is flawed. My fault was that I didnt research enough to know that most tech reviewers are paid and that they never reported the screen issue if so many people have had the issue
@@Barelyyogi it was so sad man I was on holiday luckily I was with friends
The screen protector is replaceable. I replaced the screen protector on mine and it's as good as new
Is your screen protector still on the phone? Or did you remove it? The screen protector itself will crack over time
Never once had an issue with technology that wasn’t user error. Weekly maintenance and cleaning, as well as planned protection will go a long way.
My Z flip 3 is amazing. Just have carry powerbank everywhere I go but that's because of its 3300MAh battery. Other than that, it is in pristine condition. No regrets
Totally defeated the purpose of having a smaller phone profile 🤦♂️ the only reason people buy a z flip is because it's smaller than a normal phone when folded but when you have to carry a power bank with you everywhere you go ... What's the point ?
Yeah let me just buy an overpriced crappy phone with absolutely zero extra functionality because "wOOOOooo, it flips open!!"
A clamshell phone being more fragile is definitely ironic. I wish some manufacturer would actually use the clamshell design as a way to make smartphones more durable and rugged. As was its intended feature when they were first invented.
@@popinjayjunior7698 when it's opened the hinge is its weakspot... Even the old OG flip phone the hinge is weak and easily breakable when bent the other way ... I don't get what your point is
@@El_Goblino_ it's a pointless phone. Why would anyone want a shittier version of a phone at a premium price, just because of a 5 minute cool factor
‘I don’t understand how people end up breaking their phones because my phone hasn’t broke’ is insane logic
Taking care of your phone = your phone lasting longer. That's pretty simple logic.
Your singular experience is not the collective one. My friend literally had one for three weeks and took complete care of it and the screen snapped.
If you don’t believe second/third hand evidence then you’re just ignorant and definitely shouldn’t vote.
@@nformby doesn't negate the fact that i've met plenty of people with zero issue with their phone. "If you don’t believe second/third hand evidence then you’re just ignorant and definitely shouldn’t vote."
@@freeleymedia I never said that it did, you’re the one who completely disregarded that they’ve been breaking after a month or so by blaming it on people not taking care of it.
I, on the other hand, am remaining objective.
these phones, objectively, are fragile, and when speaking in terms of individual experiences, one is not like another. some will break sooner than later, some will come broken, some won't break
Mine had to be replaced, but the reason is so weird! Every phone/tablet is designed with adhesive panels, these panels are designed to pop open if the battery expands. On most phones, this panel is the screen. On the Z Flip 3, the panels are actually the outer sides because fhe screen isn't rigid enough. The panel that my cover screen is attached to, just casually fell off! I work with fuel, so im guessing some residue worked its way into the adhesive somehow and caused it to release. Asurion decided to replace the whole phone, even though it was just the $10 of adhesive.
My friend had one. The screen would flicker off after awhile. Then it got bad enough that he had to restart his phone every time. This happened after about 8 months of normal use. From what I've read, it's a fairly common issue. Beware.
I took off the pre installed screen protector after 6 mos of use, and it's been great!😊
I wanna take the screen protector real badly, but Im scared to scratch the screen
update? how it's going so far without the actual protector?
i had mine for 15 months, it was in such a smooth condition, no creases, no bubbles, just smooth screen over all. and then suddenly the thing shuts down every time i flip it. unless charging, the phone will immediately shut itself off.
so, i went to the nearest samsung service center and lo and behold, the flexy cable or whatever it is has wear down. and the thing is, this cable is connected to the screen AND the battery. so because of this one cable, i had to pay 300 USD to change its screen and battery.
i loved this thing, but unfortunately, i pawned it off and bought myself an iphone 12.
U r right, people give pressure to the phone and breaks it within a week and says it's phones problem, if u won't give pressure to the phone then it will last for max 5 years
Agree, it's a great phone. But after a year I finally dropped mine *just right* and it landed on the corner and snapped the metal hinge on the inside. Couldn't even open it without completely breaking the phone and ripping the screen out. So now I have a new phone
This cover is so fancy, i liked so much
I don't understand how people end up breaking even their normal phones, do they hammer them or something? I've never had any phone broken and I don't even use protectors.
The people who break their phones after a month are allergic to phone cases
Had my 32A 5G for almost 3 years no case
I have been using my Pixel 4 without a case for like a year, and it only has a small scratch on the backglass
Ikr
@@h44k4 I don't understand the point
I don’t use a phone case. Respect the device as a thousand dollar piece of technology and handle it carefully. Unless you work on an oil rig or construction site you really don’t need one.
When foldable cell phones existed, it was really cool, but a foldable smartphone doesn't work, it's the same thing as buying a popsicle in the summer and hoping it lasts under the sun 😢
I remember the Motorola v3in the early 2000s. Great phone.
I had my screen protector replaced twice in an 8 month period. Asurion provides 1 free replacement by Samsung. On my third screen protector pop, I sold it and got an S23 Ultra.
my cousin's flip 3 still lives to this day and still looks, feels and sounds brand new
The sound Of the Screen Protector Was Satisfying
There are small variances during the manufacturing process that will inevitably make some percentage of units fail sooner than average. Happens with any mass produced product. A user wasn't necessarily abusing their phone if it fails permanently. Sometimes you just get a unit that was not 100% perfect when it came off the assembly line.
Well if you see the top comments, they were saying that people who break the phone screen are the ones who don't understand how to use it. Heard that from another brand but it's the first hearing from diehard Samsung fans 😂.
I had the original z flip, the one that would make creases in the middle like crazy. It's crazy for far they've come... the first one I bought I had to have it replaced after about a month because the screen broke with the constant flipping... the second one lasted 4 years but then the screen turned green, nothing to do with folding, the screen just crapped out.
I took my screen protector off...works amazing and never ever gets scratched or broke.
My eyes is on a phone but my brain is on a vibe 😅💜
Same.
People break them because their curiosity gets the better of them and they want to see how far they can push it before it breaks. Then when pushed to that limit “this products bad quality it broke”
Ive had my flip 3 for 14months and im never getting a folding phone again!! Ive not had any issues with it until this month where everytime i fold it, it turns itself off, ive checked online and theres a few people having issues with battery life and that why it turns off even when its fully charged :(
or... get the Flip 4, which is better.
I am facing the same issue. Is there any solution?
@@dorothychowdhury not that I know of I'm currently using an old phone until my contract ends to get a new phone , my flip phone is forgotten in the back of a drawer 😕
@@sheiladelarosa_ why on earth would someone who's had problems with a foldable phone would buy another foldable phone which is not even a year old
Exact same thing happened to my mom's flip 3. I forgot what the cause of it is, maybe some shortage or connection issue on time of closing it. I gave it to a Samsung partner shop which repaired it for free within a few days and since then it works perfectly fine. I would assume that the newer models wouldn't get that problem.
Unusual phone, it's just fashion moment..
You need to remove that screen protector as that is the main cause of damaging the actual screen.
I've only had two phones until now, my first one was a Samsung Galaxy S4, and it still works to this day, even though I don't use it anymore, and my second one is a Samsung Galaxy S6 that I currently use, and it's just perfect, I don't see why peoples would buy $1000 when a $200 works very well
Rich-wannabes, basically
I tried to purchase the Motorola Razor+ but their website kept messing up that's their loss because I just purchased a Samsung Flip 5 and I'm so excited 🎉😁
Pls get an extended warranty. I am saying out of experience.
Currently have my Z Flip3 for 3 years now, not a single problem except the screen protector like you (I'm at my third rn). But last couple weeks, my screen started to go blackout while the touchscreen would still work and mic doesn't always work too... it's been a great phone overall for daily use and is really a conversation starter!
I got the 5 recently, and I'm hoping the durability is close to as good as advertised
Are you using it right now?
Ive been using the z flip 1 since 2019 and the screen still looks brand new. Although i have to replace the screen protector every 2 or so months
I have a Flip 3, and the screen protector is coming off of the middle as well. Few weeks passed and woke up one morning to the crease filled with dead pixels, as the day went on it was like a virus, the black pixels spread as the screen protector began to come off and now, practically my whole screen is black and I'm stuck in a dilemma
If that's true than you're really stupid to not do anything the moment it started , yk it only takes like 20 minutes or half an hour or so to go to a shop and have them replace it.
BRO the same thing happened to me. I was watching TV and when i checked my phone i found out it's upper half had became completely useless (touch-screen stopped working) and a white line had appeared over the crease. Then some pixels started dying on the sides, and some other parts of the screen became useless as well. It kept expanding even if the phone had been turned off for days. Samsung won't cover anything because it happened after 1 year and 4 months and warranty only lasts for a year. I was SO angry when it happened

@@martuxxx yeah I'm not getting another flip anytime soon. What did you end up doing?
@@wowz6244 i'm using my previous phone. repairing the z flip is not convenient:
1) it basically costs half of what a new Z Flip costs, and it's even more expensive than what Samsung's trade-in program offers for it in its current state.
2) i've heard a lot of cases in which people fix these devices only for them to end up breaking again some months after.
3) i can't even repair it and sell it since no one buys used foldable phones, especially if they've been broken before.
so, yeah, the phone is dead. rip.
Owned my Z Flip 3 for about a year now as well and the screen protector is still going strong. When I leave it over night I usually don't close it, maybe that helps. The 2019 Motorola Razr I had before that lasted for about 3 years which is about as much as you can expect from any phone these days.

I want atleast 3 years from this..will i get?
My xiaomi mi mix 2s has been pleasing me for 6 years already, although the battery doesn’t hold so well, so I’m thinking about buying another phone.
My wife owns this phone and bought it about a year and a half ago. Just replaced the screen protector and it's good as new! Great phone.
The only thing that broke on my Z Flip 4 was the ring on the clear silicone case and the case being dinged. Everything else is fine. I also gotten mine in late October or early November of last year.
I actually got myself a pre-owned unit recently, had it for week and I must say how impressive, still fun the foldable phone design is, the hinge might have the slight damage since it won't fold completely flat, but it gives that curved display and the clamshell design hint and I'm fine with that while some don't. Yesterday I got the case for it, looks like I really got a new daily driver!
If the screen protector that is not supposed to come off actually comes off - then it’s not going strong xD

Yup. My fold 3's screen protector peeled up just like that after a year. Then 3 days later I opened it, and the screen peeled off. That was it. Samsung wanted $600 for a screen replacement as it died a couple of weeks out of waranty.

Yap, the very same appeared about 9months of daily use. Wasn't that bad, but pretty annoying , especially when looking at pictures.
I ripped mine off 6 month ago , miles better and works a treat
Got my S20 for a little more than 3 years now. Just changed the battery. Other than a few small scratches on the Display, it works and looks like new!
