During that time the interview was done for Pitch Perfect 2 promo, Hailee Steinfeld was not a recording artist yet. She was signed by Republic Records only after Pitch Perfect 2. That movie actually became her stepping stone to be able to break in to the music industry. Her first EP "Haiz" was released after Pitch Perfect 2 so the hosts still didn't know at that time that Hailee would be a legit recording artist.
