As a guy who did cross country & track I gotta say it's so worth it to get the technique down. Good luck to everyone I'm working my way back too. I describe it as one day u feel so good running like you are falling forward at the same pace your running and ur rhythm is so precise it feels like your feet are smooth wheels then your body temp heats up and stabilizes with your breathing and got darn it your a real runner lol 😆. Gl everyone!
Not gonna lie.. while distant running I feel easier by running straight than leaning forward.. it feels like I'm running without forcing myself..
I agree, I can fall forward and run to keep myself from falling ( fast ) or I can just sorta jog and that's when I'm vertical doing the same thing only smaller strides and maybe foot doesn't come up as far off the ground by a 1cm or so. Thats how it feels anyhow. I agree with you though, if I lean forward its gonna be less then half the distance I cover before I'm pooped
You shouldnt do anything too uncomfortable. Sometimes your form is better thank you think, you might be over leaning
Little to no core strength leads to this.
It's chi running. that's all there is to it. efficient and lesser injury. and also be mindful of your foot landing. Midfoot or forefront strike is recommended. Think of it as not running but trying to catch yourself from falling.
For me, that's how I would differentiate jogging from running. With running, you're falling forward and catching up that fall. With jogging, there's no falling forward and more "upward" bouncing. My own interpretation. 😅

Not only is it better form to lean forward a little while running but it looks much cooler. The straight up posture while running looks incredibly dorky.

i do track and my running form is so out of place😂😂😂i still do good in both distance and sprint no matter how bad my form is though every part of my body hurts afterwards😂😂

Every time i run i start feeling tight and pain on the harmstrings and sometimes after practice my angle hurts it’s like 2/10 but it still bothers me what can i do to Fix it so i can run better
To solve the problem, you have three Options: 1. See a trainer or look for a training partner, to check for necessary technique corrections; 2. See a doctor, to check for necessary physical corrections; 3. Use a bike.
Theres also a good chance, option 1 sends you to to option 2.

this technique hurts my knees, ankles, hips. the first one is more comfortable for me. I think everybody's skeletal mechanics is a little different for what's comfortable.

I do.. I love it.. I love maintaining straight posture. Probably not fast enough but I enjoy. My target is not pace.

This is how we’re supposed to run. Taking advantage of gravity to increase efficiency. You might not see why this is important and that’s completely fine, but runners who compete have to know how to run efficiently.
You’re wrong because we now know a lot of people cause injury to their knees by not running long distances correctly. It can be corrected by changing your form… 😊
