I've been a fan of Diamond's from the time she auditioned on the X Factor til' she got eliminated. I'm pretty sure it was the same year that Carly Rose Sonenclar and Bea Miller auditioned as well. I thought about her the other day and wondered what happened to her. On the X Factor she was amazing but young and pitchy, but I'm glad she continued to pursue her dream and has perfected her craft. Amazing.

Crazy how these talented youths change in what seems like a few years. I think that was the only year I watched the entire season of X factor. I'm glad she's still at it! I was also impressed when I looked up Marina Kaye (Marina Dalmas). Such talented ladies.

I was so obsessed with Ariana's voice especially because her voice is so feminine and silky, yet so powerful and bold. And, I really loved her voice because I don't have it. I don't have a big range and my voice is raspy, and for me as a girl it would bother me. When I found this cover of Ariana's song I was so blown by Diamond's voice. Her voice is damn nasty! You can hear her pipes working, you can hear the strain and I love that about her cuz it makes her seem more human. Now that I'm back to rewatch the same video one-two years later, I have a newfound appreciation for the production and instrumental in the background. The piano is three maybe four chords, but it's a much better interpretation of the original chords. And the bass is so freaking good, like the little half steps along the scale are so groovy. Someone please make an instrumental version of this!
