How did this poor baby get this way - people, with no heart or soul. Luckily she was found by good people, people who make the world better, people who care and have compassion.
Some people are just ignorant. I showed my landlord a video of some kittens that were rescued from a box that was taped shut, and his comment was “Wouldn’t drowning them be more humane than letting them starve?”. A lot of people just don’t know or understand that animals feel, suffer and have personalities, same as people. They may not think quite the same as us, but they are smarter than people realize.

It made me cry. Me, a 61y old man and a cat-lover. Never had a dog.
No reason not to add a dog to your pet family...I love all my cats (3), but I've always had 1 or 2 dogs ( have a Bull Mastiff ) . When I adopted him from our local no-kill shelter he was being treated for kennel cough, and his ribs were proof of a stage of starvation. After an immediate visit to our vet, and loving care in his new home, he slowly began to improve, though we had to patiently contend with separation anxiety. He has evolved into a beautiful, affectionate companion, adored by the cats and his family. I strongly agree with the motto "Adopt, don't shop." You'll never regret it.
I have 7 cats, 2 dogs & a Conure. All rescued and they all not only get along but snuggle & play together. Cats sleep in the Conure's cage even!

I could not view the beginning either... I don't understand what is wrong with people who do this and anyone who's ever caught harming or mistreating a dog in this manner should be tracked and watched very closely because it's one small step before they can do something horrible to a human

This is how I wound up with my pittie. Mine was 18.6 pounds, with puncture wounds, and a mangled tail. She could take a couple steps before she would collapse. She was very sweet despite her condition. Already having a house full of animals, we decided to, at least, nurse her back to health so she could be adopted out. Two years later, she’s still here. She’s a big, muscle butt, meat head, baby. She blended in like hot butter on toast. Oh yeah, we were able to save the tail. The tip fell off leaving bone exposed, but the muscle and skin grew back.

I'm sad for the little puppy, that he can't stay in his foster home, he already gave his heart to his foster mum. But it is also important, that other dogs in bad situation can get help, so the little sweety has to leave because this place is needed for the realy emergency cases.

This video of this sweet Pittie, Reese just pulled me out of my shitty sad mood and I caught myself smiling again and it calmed my anxiety. By the time this video was over and I saw that Reese had transformed into a happy, healthy, resilient and trusting girl, it helped transform my mood into a positive one!
Just wanted to say "Thank You" for creating these great videos and posting them! I have found them to be quite therapeutic as I have a deep love and respect for animals and it helps restore my faith in humans. lol. To anyone out there watching these, hopefully this helps you too. :D

Such a brave dog for allowing them anywhere near her to start with! She must have hurt to be touched. She's got a huge heart and whoever gets her will be extremely lucky. I just hope they realise it. Though if she's a foster fail, it wouldn't surprise me lol.
I'd be a dreadful foster mum to dogs with such awful backgrounds. They'd never leave me. I know because it happened to me. I rehomed ex-racers and got a panicked call from a friend saying they were "going to put him down!" An hour later I had a 17kg greyhound covered in mange turn up from a shelter, alongside my 2 normal weight ones (35kg or thereabouts) and 3 kids under the age of 5. We had that walking (just) bag of bones for about 10 years... Of course he got fit and strong in a matter of a couple of months.
He was such a brilliant big bro to all my kids, but especially the baby we had ten months after he turned up. He wouldn't let her go out of his sight during the day. They'd even nap curled up together (though he'd wake both girls up early in the morning by entering their room and jumping on the older one's bed, curling up and dropping off!) He was a real character, but of all our rescues, he always seemed to be the most grateful, but then he was in the worst condition I'd ever seen. Imagine a dog 29-30 inches to the shoulder and you can see every bone under his red raw skin. It was horrible. But he turned into a really handsome boy, with muscles on his muscles :D we miss him terribly.
I am damn sure that This good girl would have a SUPERB life....

Me too, I look at my little boy asleep on the sofa, had two meals today two walks in neighbours large garden ( we are on lockdown with covid 19) and feel so guilty how this dog has suffered, could absolutely strangle who did this to this lovely dog.

Sadly, here in the UK, Pitbulls are a banned breed thanks to a minority of bad owners. I wish the people who instigated the ban could be made to watch this video and see what absolute sweethearts Pitbulls really are. I'm glad this very sweet lil pupper made a recovery.

So happy to see that she is striving. I wish I could have a dog RN given the times we are in. Especially with me being pregnant and having lost my dog almost a year ago now. (May 2019). But I'm in a shelter so thats not happening lol. These videos just make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. One day I'll have another beautiful pit. @@alexandriapassarilla2879 well we were given an apartment from a previous shelter we were in. We have a voucher and all that. Unfortunately, after only being there for about a year and a half, we found out we had rats and the Landlord claimed to had fixed our heat and he never did. So we called 311 to hopefully get him to do what he has to do. But it was an infestation and also an illegal apartment. So we were evacuated by the red cross and was given three days to leave the premises since it was now condemned due to the infestation. We didnt go to a shelter immediately because we didn't want to give up or dog. So we stayed with a friend. When we had previously entered the shelter, we had two dogs. We had to give one up which hurt so bad. So we didn't want to lose him this go around. Unfortunately, one day we took him for a walk and he had somehow licked up some rat poison. At the time I wasn't aware. The signs were down because I had rained the day before and I didn't think much of I since there other dogs walking on the same path. That was my baby boy. My son was hurt. My husband, the whole family was hurt. After his passing we didn't see a point I staying at my friends house so we went back to the shelter. And right before Christmas I found out I was pregnant. It was bittersweet. We been trying for about 4 years to get pregnant so we were so happy. I just didn't think I would be pregnant without the comfort of my sweet gentle giant. But we do have our voucher back and are actually in line for an apartment soon. Things are looking up given the times we are in. I just cant wait for my baby to be born and hopefully share with him the wonderful love of having a fur brother and loving family.
@Frankie Basile she definitely is. Its beautiful that there are ppl out there to be there for these beautiful souls in need. Sometimes ppl can be so ignorant and cold to them. They give unconditional love and should be treated the way they deserve. One day soon I'll have another pittie. Of course, none can ever replace the ones we have cared for like children. He will always hold a special place in my heart. As I know ur beautiful pittie does in yours. I know he wouldn't want me sad about, especially with a baby in me. In fact he hated when I was sad lol. When the time is right I'll know. And I'll know he approves. At least we can rest easy know we gave them all the love they needed up until the time they were gone. I'm so sorry for ur loss. But u have gained an angel for life. ❤

How did anyone allow Reese to get to that point of starvation? There was no way anyone could not have seen her become skin and bones! Things like that don't happen overnight. I curse the people who allowed that to happen! At first, I cried tears of sadness but in the end I cried tears of joy.

How do these poor dogs still love to be around people. That's what amazes me about dogs. They know that just because one owner did horrible things that not every owner will do the same. The fact that this dog ever trusted a human being again truly blows my mind. You get bitten by a snake, you no longer like snakes (not everyone of course). You get bit by a dog, you no longer like dogs (not everyone of course). This poor creature was abused and left to starve to death yet it's still willing to give humans another chance.
It's so sad to see animals like that I asked my mom if I could take care of one of those animals and she said no I was like what and I want to take good care of one of those animals

I can't stop crying over the physical pain that baby went through with the starvation process. I cant stop crying over the emotional pain of being scared, alone, and trying to find food. This is gut-wrenching. The devastating thought is that thousands of animals are going through this everyday in unseen places.
