The PGA TOUR heads to Arizona this week for the WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale. After a period of multi-course rotations, we are back to a standard Full-Field Event with a 36-hole cut. Scottie Scheffler is looking to make history and become the first player since Steve Stricker to win the same PGA TOUR event three years in a row. Stricker won the John Deere Classic from 2009-11. The American has started the season well with two top-10s in three tournaments - T5 at The Sentry and T6 last week at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Justin Thomas will also be in the field this week. Since 2018, he has six top-20s at TPC Scottsdale and has claimed two top-10s in two tournaments to start the season. Jordan Spieth will also be teeing it up in Arizona this week. He’s managed four top-10s in seven tries at TPC Scottsdale. It’s also where he carded his career low, a 61 in the third round en route to a T4 in 2021. Only a month removed from a solo third at The Sentry. Others to look out for are Wyndham Clark, Max Homa and Matt Fitzpatrick.

@@Raydington Hoffman is now into the next signature event, maybe more depending on how things shake out there. That should help his career, but a win would have been huge for Charlie.

Just watched these "highlights". 5:00 Charlie Hoffman -17 thru 12 on the leaderboard, 5:05 Jordan Spieth with a shot (7 off the lead) and Hoffman -20 Thru 14, 5:30 Hoffman -21 Thru 16, WE DID NOT SEE ONE SHOT OFF HOFFMANS BACK 9 until the playoff????? COME ON PGA!
Scottie is so impressive. If he was just an average putter he'd be winning almost every single event he plays in. I don't think I've ever seen someone completely disappointed he didn't get a hole in one like he was on 16 in round 4.
Also shoutout to Bud Cauley. I don't think his return got as much coverage as it should have.
Watching him leave a 30 foot eagle putt short on 13 and then missing the 3 foot birdie putt was so mind blowing. He gets on the green with such ease and then turns in to an average golfer when putting.

PGA stats have him at 88.38% for greens in regulation, #1 on the tour. If he could putt he would be unstoppable
Stop exaggerating about his putting, if you look at his stats he gained a total of 0.5 strokes in putting and is ranked 44th for the tournament which is not as bad as you guys act

Nick Taylor's putting (besides missing the birdie on 17) was flawless. Saw him win at Oakdale and this was akin to that, absolutely clutch. Congratulations to him!

@@mr75204 actually I don't complain very much at all but these videos are rubbish because if you wanted to get a sense of how the day panned out you get no sense of it at all. Just random shots. A summary video that took you through the drama would be so much better
Even worse is not showing a single shot of how Hoffman went from 17 under to 21 under over the last 6 holes while showing meaningless shots by other players.
Taylor was rolling the ball like a machine all week. People are going to point to his iron and wedge play but its his putting that won it. Dude one putt outside of 10 feet a ton this weekend.
