Olivio, I love the intro - "This time things are getting Fooog -up!" Too funny. Great tutorial, I glad that you make learning Affinity Photo easier with "Real World" examples and techniques. Thanks for sharing.
Hi olivio I don't know where I am doing wrong I face these two problems while using the third technique 1) I am unable to use white brush any other colour works perfectly but white. 2) When I use Gaussian blur it blurs the entire image not just the brush part.
Hi Nitin, make sure that you are for 1) not painting on a mask or adjustment layer, because in that case, any color but white will give you a transparency value of the mask or adjustment, while white will give you 100% transparency, so you can't see the effect on a empty mask (which already is white) and with 2) again, make sure you are not applying the blur to a mask or adjustment layer, but instead to a pixel layer. UNLESS you want to blur the mask (as i do in the tutorial) but in that case you need to use the blur from the menu "Filters -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur" and not from the layer effects ;) hope that helps
@@OlivioSarikas I meant plugins that would be used in Photoshop I saw videos of how to put them in but they require Adobe Photoshop to access them which makes no sense [YOutube video How to install PS plugins on Affinity Photo] if I'm using Affinity why would I have to have to use Adobe Photoshop in order to access to place into Affinity?
Thanks a lot, nice and clear tutorial.
I am a Big fan 👍
I'm new to affinity photo . Thanks for your easy to use tutorials great job Olivio.
You are welcome, Chris
This is exactly what I need for my current project. Thanks man!

Really helpful. Many thanks
Thank you, Philip
Very useful, thank you.
Thank you, Mig :)
Another nice one! Wish iPad version have brush previews like the desktop by just moving the cursor around. But there’s always Undo. 🤓
Thank you. yes, that is also why i always create new layers for new things. in the worst case i can still delete the layer and start fresh.

New sub. here. Another iPad user but you explain things well and I hope to join your group.
Awesome! Welcome on board! :)
How do you put the plugin into Affinity please explain?
What Plugin? Do you mean the Brushes? You can import them, via the little "3 lines" menu in the brushes tab

I try to do that but my brushes show up pixelated. I don't understand why that is happening.
Is the document you are working with maybe low resolution and zoom in? Or is it really high resolution and you made the brush too big?
