This is so beautiful. I love your heart. I often feel it should not be so difficult for hard working people to have safe, beautiful, and affordable homes. We were forced to sell our lovely home here in CA (as the taxes kept climbing) and our daughter needed some medical care that our insurance didn't not cover. My husband has a good job and makes good money. We had no debt but our mortgage. Our savings was depleted over time because of the medical bills and rising inflation of CA. We felt like we had to sell to avoid going into debt. This was about 3 years ago, before the big real estate boom... so we did not make on our home what we hoped to. We have been praying about where to go, and have wrestled with the thought of leaving our family. My elderly parents and twin brother, and sister all live in CA, but we can't afford a home here anymore. It's truly insane. We come from a long line of military service on both sides of our family, and my husband served in the Air Force as well. We love caring for the people in our lives and in our community, but we just feel stuck right now. So we continue to wait and pray, as we trust God for a home again. To see what you are doing, and creating is truly powerful. It gives hope and encouragement to my heart. I am so touched by your heart and ideas. To hear how you believed in something and you were determined to find a way to make it happen, is amazing. So many people are blessed now because of your creativity, and diligence. I went on the website and these are very reasonably priced for a shell. Easy on the eye and can accommodate more then one or two people.

I just found your cabins, and I am fairly sure one of them will be my new home! Now waiting for estimate from concrete guy to see if I can afford to have a basement. So happy to hear of the strength of the building, because even if I can't afford a basement, it would be pretty strong, in lieu of a storm shelter here in the Ozarks! I'll be contacting the company in the next week or so.

When purchasing a kit are there detailed instructions to put it together… I’m very intrigued by these but have a lot of questions..for example the inside walls. How do you attach the drywall or wood sheets to the metal frame? My thought is that you still need to use 2x4 lumber on the inside of metal rib so you can drywall..am I wrong? I’m guessing you wouldn’t want to puncture the metal frame in any way to compromise the strength.
Yes, every kit comes with a build manual. In order to attach the drywall or other wall finishing materials, you would attach wood furring strips with self tapping screws to the ribs. This does not affect the structural integrity and allows you to then use normal nails etc. to attach other materials.

Yes, they can be installed without any welded supports if they're 22 inches wide or less. But if you don't mind having welded supports added in, then you can go as wide as you'd like. Windows will be installed with dormers.
Where were the wind tests conducted?
The wind ratings are calculated by an engineer on a site by site basis since our kits are considered permanent site built structured.

No, it sounds very similar to a normal home. Maybe slightly louder.

Yes in theory, although we do not sell them without the sheet metal.

I love these. But the million dollar question is, where can I LEGALLY build one to live in? Im interested in the smallest one you have, to use as a tiny home.
Just a suggestion: The biggest barrier to entry on these isn't the price for most people, but finding a legal place to erect them to live inside. If you can solve THAT problem and offer an end-to-end solution, you'd sell these by the second. How about...
By land through your company, get the proper permits, etc. to build 50-100 of these, and sell the cabins & land as package deals. You can flip the land for a profit as a one time purchase, or give the option of renting on a monthly basis.
All in, I'd definitely pay $15,000 to $20,000 to own a cabin AND land in a heartbeat.
Our kits have been built in almost every state, legally. They are permitted as site built permanent structures. Yes, some places do not allow tiny homes, but we have sizes that are big enough in those instances to build. Our smallest kit is an 8x8. You would not be able to live in that one, but a 12x20 could have everything you need for a 1 bedroom, bath and kitchen. Thank you for your interest and for your thoughtful comment. Our business plan is working very well as is but we appreciate the input!
@Arched Cabins Thanks for the reply. Don't think I was bashing your business model, I wasn't. I love your structures. My only point is...
People (like me) that are attracted to the smaller homes you offer who dream of using them off-grid with solar, makeshift showers, etc. will find it extremely difficult to locate places where these structures can LEGALLY be built for living.
The way around that as you said, is by purchasing a larger unit with kitchen, bathroom, etc. This is definitely an option, but a much more pricey & technical one. You'd have to tie into the local sewer system, get hooked up to electrical, get permits up the wazoo, and a million other things. All of which defeats the purpose of buying a tiny home to begin with - for simplicity & cost savings.
The structure is only one part of the equation. Finding land where you can put a tiny house legally in WHATEVER fashion someone wishes is the more difficult part.
