Just some information from my personal experience. Joncutter saws are far better quality in comparison to the cheapest zenoah clones out there. I have purchased both. This appears to be the cheaper style while similar internally. The joncutters have good gas and oil caps where the cheaper ones are really bad. They have extremely brittle plastics whereas the joncutter is actually quite a bit more conparible to OEM style saws. My 2500 joncutter has a 12" bar and full chisel chain and it rips! I have climbed with it a couple times and for my limited use, works great!
I have a 15 year old Ozito version of this saw. The quality just visually seems much better than the modern version. I've used it extensively for my firewood and besides wearing out many chains, one bar, replacing fuel lines maybe 3 times, it just won't quit. The fact that every part is still available for just dollars....means I'll keep using it until the gubberment takes it away from me 😂 I've been wanting to try a full chisel chain. Is it 0.043 gauge?
I love spending time with you, Bleehopper. Your community has so many wonderful people, and I am always getting an amazing education!!! Bless you for all you do for us!!!
You probably already know this, but the Joncutter saws are copies of Zenoah saws (Redmax). I got two of these, and I noticed it took about 4 tanks for them to break in. They got quite a bit better once broken in.
From my info that saw is an copy of Zenoah G2500. I own one of these clones and wanted to do some carb swap 'cause i know what coud possibly fit in there and do some port work but i don't know where to begin, if somebody or even you Bellhopper could send me some hints or port timings I would be incredibly happy.
@@bellhoppersaws All righty, so you're saying they don't need much work. I was considering some exhaust widening but the transfer is really close to it and also I do not want to break the ring so I left it how it is for now and just did a muffler mod and slightly advanced the ignition. Seems that now it has more bottom end and pulls better, and also the idle sound changed a bit due to the ignition advance I belive. Maybe in the future i will do a carb swap cause i know one carb that might fit almost plug and play besides the choke lever or linkage modification. But for now I need to take care of two Alpinas for my buddy, a Prof 70 and 120.
Jereme, would you want to add 'G2500' to the title of these videos to increase this popping up in searches? I was thinking about buying one of these a year ago and had searched the interent on 'G2500 reviews'.
Hi I have one of the Chinese 25.4cc top handle chainsaws, the one with the 2 studs on the bar mount. I would like to replace the bar & chain with .043 gauge. I am not sure of the bar mount and what will fit. I've read that the Husqvarna CS-211 is the same bar mount. Could you please tell what I should order so I don't end up with parts that don't fit anything I own? Thank You
Ah it looks like it’s modeled after the echo CS2511T you referenced it in your video . I am very fascinated with these China saws , because we used to pay big bucks for saws that ran half as well …back when I was a tree climber in the early 2000s
@@bellhoppersaws You know more about them then I would . So I’ll trust your thoughts on it . I was gonna pick one of these up cause I have a big saw but I’d like one for around the house . These are 100 bucks off flea bay right now 😜

Glad to see something on the smaller saws thank you sir 👍
I had one of those for over a year. It served me well
I love my prowler pup. Going on 3 years now. Remember to take the brake off when removing the chain cover.
Great video. Can’t wait to see the outcome. As a hobbyist it’s great to have clone saws to tinker with.
I like little hotrod saws ! Like rooting for the underdogs.
I hope the seller will replace the cracked parts. This build will be interesting to follow.
Yes sir very interesting in carb work and God bless you to.

Every new saw needs a performance upgrade!🤣🤣
Agreed
Never used a digital degree wheel.
Thanks for the video
Its awsome buddy its so fast to use
I'm curious to see how that little booger runs with a bit of work. Just snagged one myself about a week ago that was just too cheap to pass on.
Nice little saw, can’t wait to see the carb video

God Bless and Protect you and your loving family Bellhopper:)
I just ordered one of these. I have other saws up to 80cc. This should be very handy.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. The more detailed the better IMO.
Not bad little saws for the price, I have 2 of different brands. Always wanted to give one a tickle.
Yes please show that carb boring on tape! How did you know you needed to go there?
The ventrura was so small id like it bigger then what it is now but it runs buddy carb video is uploading now
Thank you sir.
You gonna run the 59" bar on it, Hopper ?

Any reason to keep that plate in the airbox?
👍
its a copy of a zenoah chainsaw, cool little saws.
What model of saw is this a ripoff of ? Looks like some of the mid 2000s husky climbing saws …
Ah it looks like it’s modeled after the echo CS2511T you referenced it in your video .

Im not for sure im not even sure if its a direct rip off it is kinda like a few things mixed

🤔looks like you should have looked at the tabs on the chain cover the rear goes on first then the front falls into place
Also the brake release.
